Georgii Merkulov C | BOS
Bruins' Georgi Merkulov: Dropped to AHL
Merkulov was assigned to AHL Providence on Monday.
Merkulov has played in Boston's last two games and has one assist in five NHL appearances this season. If Brad Marchand (upper body) remains out for Tuesday's game versus Nashville, Merkulov will probably return to the big club.

Blake Lizotte C | PIT
Penguins' Blake Lizotte: Earns helper Sunday
Lizotte logged an assist and two hits in Sunday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.
Lizotte ended a six-game point drought with the helper. The 27-year-old continues to fill a bottom-six role, either as a center or a winger. He saw 16:44 of ice time Sunday, a season-high mark, which indicates his role could grow down the stretch, especially if the Penguins trade away forwards. Lizotte has 14 points, 40 shots on net, 48 hits, 22 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through 44 outings overall.

Cody Glass C | NJ
Penguins' Cody Glass: Tallies in high-scoring defeat
Glass scored a goal on four shots and added three hits in Sunday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.
Glass snapped a 13-game goal drought Sunday -- he scored for the first time since Jan. 20 versus the Kings. The 25-year-old had two assists over that 13-game span while seeing mostly middle-six minutes, though he was on the fourth line officially in Sunday's contest. For the season, he has 15 points, 76 shots on net, 42 hits, 30 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 50 appearances. He's a depth forward who doesn't stand out in any area, so he's not a strong option in fantasy.

Nazem Kadri C | COL
Flames' Nazem Kadri: Nets PP goal Sunday
Kadri scored a power-play goal in Sunday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.
Kadri found the back of the net midway through the third period to even things up for the Flames in what turned out to be a low-scoring affair. The veteran center has two goals and two assists in five games since the league resumed following the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

Michael Rasmussen C | DET
Red Wings' Michael Rasmussen: Won't play Tuesday
Rasmussen (upper body) will be unavailable for Tuesday's matchup against Carolina, per Daniella Bruce of the Red Wings' official site.
Rasmussen will miss his fourth straight game, and a timeline for a potential return could emerge after being evaluated further this week. He has accounted for nine goals, 16 points, 96 hits and 76 shots on net in 56 appearances this season.

Macklin Celebrini C | SJ
Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Expects to play Monday
Celebrini (lower body) declared himself good to go after participating in Monday's optional morning skate, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
Celebrini won't miss any playing time after skipping Sunday's practice due to a lower-body issue. He has amassed 18 goals, 44 points and 168 shots on net across 49 appearances this season. Celebrini has compiled five goals and seven assists in his last 12 outings.

Frederick Gaudreau C | SEA
Wild's Frederick Gaudreau: Nets game-winning goal
Gaudreau scored the lone goal of Sunday's 1-0 win over the Bruins.
Gaudreau lit the lamp for game-winning tally by redirecting a shot from Marcus Johansson. The 31-year-old Gaudreau is up to 13 goals, 27 points and 84 shots on net in 61 appearances this season. With injuries to Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) and Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body), Gaudreau has jumped up to Minnesota's second power-play unit. The third-line center has scored three goals in his past six games. With less forwards available and his momentum offensively, Gaudreau has some value in deeper leagues for the time being.

Philipp Kurashev C | SJ
Blackhawks' Philipp Kurashev: Moves to IR
Kurashev (hand) was placed on injured reserve Monday.
Kurashev will miss his second straight game against the Kings on Monday. He won't be eligible to play versus Ottawa on Wednesday, either. However, it's unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. He has registered six goals, 10 points and 48 shots on net in 42 appearances this season. Due to Kurashev's absence, Lukas Reichel will probably maintain a bottom-six role.
-
Rickard Rakell C | PIT
Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Two goals in home loss
Rakell netted a pair of even-strength goals on three shots in Sunday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.
Rakell has scored in back-to-back games after being held without a marker in five prior outings. The right-shot forward tied the score on two separate occasions Sunday, but his efforts weren't enough to help the Penguins emerge victorious. The 31-year-old has generated 28 goals and 24 assists across 62 appearances this season. With 19 games remaining on Pittsburgh's schedule in 2024-25, Rakell has a chance to challenge his career high of 34 goals, which he scored with Anaheim in 2017-18.

Sidney Crosby C | PIT
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Trio of points in defeat
Crosby scored a power-play goal on five shots and added two assists in Sunday's 6-5 overtime loss to Toronto.
Crosby registered his first three-point game since Jan. 9 in a back-and-forth outing Sunday. The star center has points in three consecutive games and has been held off the scoresheet only once over his last 11 contests. Crosby continues to spearhead Pittsburgh in scoring with 19 goals and 65 points through 61 games this season. The 37-year-old will face off against fellow Nova Scotia native Nathan MacKinnon and the Avalanche on the road Tuesday.
