  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Three-point effort in win

Marchessault scored an empty-net goal, added two assists and went plus-3 in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Sabres.

Marchessault helped out on both of Brady Skjei's tallies before filling the empty-cage in the final minute of the game. This was Marchessault's first multi-point effort since Jan. 21 versus the Sharks. The 34-year-old has five points over his last three games, and he's up to 17 goals, 26 helpers, 162 shots on net, 64 hits and a minus-14 rating through 54 outings overall.

  • Flyers' Jacob Gaucher: Reassigned Saturday

Gaucher was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Saturday.

Gaucher is waivers-exempt and will get playing time with the Phantoms during the NHL's break for the 4 Nations Face-Off. Gaucher has no points over his first four NHL appearances.

  • Flyers' Rodrigo Abols: Receives demotion Saturday

Abols was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Saturday.

Abols heads back to the AHL after producing two points across his first nine appearances. It's unclear if he'll be back with the big club after the 4 Nations Face-Off, which may depend on the statuses of Ryan Poehling (upper body) and Owen Tippett (upper body). The Flyers' next game is Feb. 22 versus the Oilers.

  • Nils Aman C | VAN

Canucks' Nils Aman: Heads back to AHL

Aman was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.

Aman was sent down after playing in each of the Canucks' last two games. He has just two assists over seven NHL appearances this season. If he is called up ahead of the Canucks' Feb. 22 game versus the Golden Knights, it'll likely be to serve in a fourth-line role, but the 25-year-old will play regularly with Abbotsford in the interim.

  • Canucks' Linus Karlsson: Bounced to AHL

Karlsson was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.

Karlsson's stay in the minors this time is likely to be longer, as the Canucks don't play again until Feb. 22 in Vegas. He has been bounced between levels multiple times to save cap space. Karlsson didn't play in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

  • Penguins' Emil Bemstrom: Returns to minor-league club

Bemstrom was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday.

Bemstrom failed to record a point over two NHL outings during this stint. If the Penguins are healthier following the 4 Nations Face-Off, they likely won't need to call up Bemstrom again.

  • Penguins' Vasily Ponomarev: Sent back down

Ponomarev was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday.

Ponomarev filled the third-line center role Saturday in a 3-2 loss to the Flyers, but he didn't get on the scoresheet. The 22-year-old will resume playing regularly for the farm team, and he may not come back up after the 4 Nations Face-Off if the Penguins are healthier at forward in two weeks.

  • Blue Jackets' Luca Del Bel Belluz: Returns to AHL

Del Bel Belluz was reassigned to AHL Cleveland on Saturday.

Del Bel Belluz will get to continue playing during the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 21-year-old center has eight points over 15 appearances at the NHL level this season. Given the injuries plaguing Columbus' center depth, it wouldn't be surprising for Del Bel Belluz to be back ahead of the Blue Jackets' Feb. 22 game versus the Blackhawks.

  • Bruins' Matthew Poitras: Sent down

Poitras was reassigned to AHL Providence on Saturday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.

Poitras will get to keep playing with the minor-league team while the Bruins' season is on pause during the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 20-year-old is likely to be called back up prior to the Bruins' Feb.22 game against the Ducks.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Nets 30th goal of season

Point scored a goal in a 6-3 win over the Red Wings on Saturday.

Point has two goals, two assists and nine shots in his last two games. Saturday's snipe was his 30th goal of the season, which puts him in the top five of the NHL. Point has been a top-10 NHL sniper a few times and a top-five producer once (2022-23). He's converting on 23.6 percent of his shots this season. Still, Point has delivered on more than 20 percent of his shots in each of his previous two seasons, so this uptick seems sustainable.
