  • Senators' Thomas Chabot: Garners assist Saturday

Chabot notched an assist, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Canucks.

Chabot helped out on a Claude Giroux goal early in the first period. The 27-year-old Chabot has three points over his last four contests, but he was limited to just two assists across the prior 13 games, so there's some shakiness to his offense. The veteran blueliner has 16 points, 75 shots on net, 55 blocked shots, 26 hits, 12 PIM and a plus-14 rating through 33 outings this season.

  • Senators' Jake Sanderson: Racks up three points in OT win

Sanderson scored the game-winning goal, added two assists, fired three shots on net and blocked three shots in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Canucks.

Sanderson earned his first multi-point effort since Nov. 25 versus the Flames. He assisted on second-period goals by Shane Pinto and Josh Norris, with the latter's tally being shorthanded. Sanderson then put the Canucks away with a goal 13 seconds into overtime. The 22-year-old defenseman has six points over his last six outings and a total of two goals, 18 assists, 69 shots on net, 67 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating through 33 contests. He's produced 12 power-play points and two shorthanded assists, but he's got enough talent to turn things around at even strength.

  • Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Contributes assist Saturday

Ekman-Larsson picked up an assist in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Islanders.

He laid two hits, added one block and fired one shot in 21:56 of playing time in Saturday's defeat. Ekman-Larsson has delivered a couple of assists every seven games or so, adds a block-a-game and averages three hits every two games. He is more valuable on the ice than in the fantasy arena.

  • Sharks' Timothy Liljegren: Logs assist

Liljegren notched an assist and five hits in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Oilers.

Liljegren was scratched Thursday against the Avalanche, but he took the place of Shakir Mukhamadullin in Saturday's lineup. The helper was Liljegren's second over eight appearances in December. The 25-year-old blueliner is up to seven points, 42 shots on net, 33 hits, 32 blocked shots, 14 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 24 appearances between the Sharks and the Maple Leafs this season. Liljegren's had a fair amount of job security in San Jose, but the team has three young defensemen to fill out two spots in the lineup, so he may be scratched occasionally.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Two helpers in overtime win

Bouchard logged a pair of assists, four shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Sharks.

Bouchard has gone 11 games without a goal, but he's looking a lot more like himself with 10 helpers in that span. The defenseman had a hand in goals by Zach Hyman in the first period and Leon Draisaitl in overtime. Bouchard is up to six goals, 19 assists, 85 shots on net, 52 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 33 contests this season. He's earned just six power-play points, so a little more success in that area could put him back among the elite blueliners in the NHL.

  • Oilers' Mattias Ekholm: Nets late equalizer

Ekholm scored a goal on seven shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Sharks.

The Sharks nearly pulled off a massive upset in Edmonton, but Ekholm saved the day for the Oilers, tying the game with 18 seconds left in the third period. He's scored clutch goals in back-to-back contests, and he's on a four-game point streak after having a helper in each of the two games before that. The 34-year-old is out of his slump and is back to being a reliable depth option in fantasy. He's at five goals, 15 points, 82 shots on net, 47 blocked shots, 24 hits and a plus-12 rating through 33 appearances.

  • Kings' Joel Edmundson: Slings helper in overtime loss

Edmundson provided an assist, five shots on goal and four hits in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Predators.

Edmundson helped out on an Alex Laferriere goal in the third period. Surprisingly, the five shots were not a season-high for Edmundson -- he had seven in a 4-1 win over the Wild on Dec. 7. The 31-year-old blueliner has been a pleasant surprise offensively with 10 points through 31 outings this season. Edmundson has added 52 hits, 48 blocked shots, 43 shots on net, 14 PIM and a plus-14 rating while seeing top-four minutes. His offense alone doesn't move the needle in fantasy, but there's enough physicality to make an impact in deeper formats.

  • Blue Jackets' Ivan Provorov: Supplies assist Saturday

Provorov notched an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Flyers.

Provorov has contributed two goals and four assists over 12 contests in December. The 27-year-old blueliner has continued to find ways on the scoresheet, and while he's far from an elite contributor, he's reliable in a large role for the Blue Jackets. For the season, he's at 13 points, 43 shots on net, 42 blocked shots, 11 hits, 12 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 34 appearances. Provorov is a streaming candidate for when the Blue Jackets have favorable matchups.

  • Blue Jackets' Jake Christiansen: Nets first goal of season

Christiansen scored a goal and went plus-3 in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Flyers.

Christiansen ended an eight-game point drought with the third-period tally, which briefly gave the Blue Jackets a 4-3 lead. The 25-year-old defenseman has seen steady bottom-fourth usage this season but has little to show for it on the stat sheet. He's racked up seven points (one goal, six assists), 39 shots on net, 32 blocked shots, 24 hits, 11 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 34 outings this season.

  • Cam York D | PHI

Flyers' Cam York: Nabs helper Saturday

York logged an assist, three shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.

York was scratched for Thursday's 7-3 loss to the Kings, but the Flyers' defense proved to be worse without him. He has three points over eight outings in December, though he's still on shaky ground for his defensive play. The 23-year-old blueliner has six points, a minus-1 rating, 26 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and 12 PIM through 20 contests this season. York saw 23:34 of ice time Saturday, so he looks to have regained a little trust from head coach John Tortorella.
