Carson Soucy D | NYI
Islanders' Carson Soucy: Dealt to divisional rival
Soucy was traded to the Islanders from the Rangers on Monday in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick, per PuckPedia.
Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reported earlier Monday that this trade was in the works, which resulted in Soucy being sidelined for the Rangers' game against the Bruins. Soucy will see his former team in short order, as the Islanders and Rangers will play in a home-and-home set Wednesday and Thursday. The 31-year-old defenseman will likely work in a third-pairing role when he's in the lineup for his new squad, but he also could serve as a periodic healthy scratch, especially if the Islanders choose to keep Isaiah George with the big club when Ryan Pulock returns from an upper-body injury.

Nikita Zadorov D | BOS
Bruins' Nikita Zadorov: Not playing in NYC
Zadorov (ankle) will miss Monday's road game against the Rangers.
Zadorov will miss his first game of the campaign Monday due to an ankle injury he sustained Saturday against Montreal. The Bruins will play in the second half of a back-to-back at home Tuesday against Nashville, but it's unclear if Zadorov will be available for that matchup at this time.

Erik Cernak D | TB
Lightning's Erik Cernak: Suiting up Monday
Cernak (upper body) is available for Monday's home game against the Mammoth.
Cernak was injured Saturday in Columbus and classified as a game-time decision earlier Monday, but he's seemingly no worse for wear after taking a hard hit from Mathieu Olivier. The 28-year-old Cernak will skate on the second pairing next to Declan Carlile versus Utah.

Hunter McDonald D | PHI
Flyers' Hunter McDonald: Sent to minors
McDonald was assigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Monday, per the NHL media site.
McDonald was recalled from the AHL on Jan. 17 but didn't make his NHL debut during his time with the Flyers. He should have more consistent playing time with Lehigh Valley, and he's recorded five assists, 61 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 33 appearances with the Phantoms this year.

Rasmus Ristolainen D | PHI
Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Removed from IR
Ristolainen (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site.
Following a six-game absence, Ristolainen appears ready to return to the lineup against the Islanders on Monday. He has collected three assists, 24 shots on goal, 24 blocked shots and 16 hits over 13 appearances this season.

Tyler Kleven D | OTT
Senators' Tyler Kleven: Dishes two assists Sunday
Kleven posted two assists, two shots on goal, four hits and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Golden Knights.
Kleven logged his first multi-point outing since Dec. 2 versus the Canadiens. The 24-year-old defenseman has been a regular on the third pairing for much of this season. He's now at nine points -- one shy of matching his 79-game total in the 2024-25 regular season -- while adding 55 shots on net, 81 hits, 68 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 47 outings.

Thomas Chabot D | OTT
Senators' Thomas Chabot: Adds two more assists
Chabot notched two assists in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Golden Knights.
Chabot has five helpers over his last five contests. The 28-year-old defenseman continues to be a decent source of offense as well as blocked shots and shots on goal in a top-four role for the Senators. He's at 21 points, 62 shots, 74 blocks, 26 hits and a plus-2 rating over 37 appearances this season.

Jordan Spence D | OTT
Senators' Jordan Spence: Scores in blowout win
Spence scored a goal, added three hits and went plus-2 in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Golden Knights.
Spence snapped a six-game point drought with his second-period tally. The 24-year-old defenseman is seeing steady time in a third-pairing role lately, keeping Nikolas Matinpalo in the press box most of the time. Spence is at four goals, 16 points, 60 shots on net, 30 hits, 30 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating over 43 outings. He has some scoring potential, but his usage is still fairly limited, which makes it tough to rely on him in fantasy.

Victor Mancini D | VAN
Canucks' Victor Mancini: Called up Monday
Mancini was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Monday.
Mancini spent the past week in the minors but will rejoin Vancouver after Zeev Buium (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Monday. Over nine appearances with the NHL club this year, Mancini has recorded zero points, 12 blocked shots, seven hits and five PIM while averaging 13:12 of ice time.

Zeev Buium D | VAN
Canucks' Zeev Buium: Designated for IR
Buium was placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury Monday.
Buium has appeared in 20 games for the Canucks since being acquired from the Wild in the Quinn Hughes deal. The 20-year-old Buium logged 15:41 of ice time in Sunday's contest versus the Penguins, which is a little on the low side but not completely out of sorts. While Buium will have to miss the next three games for sure, the team could opt to keep him out until after the Olympic break, depending on the severity of his injury.
