  • Mammoth's Mikhail Sergachev: Puts away goal Sunday

Sergachev scored a goal on two shots and blocked three shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets.

Sergachev has three goals and four assists over his last seven outings. His tally put the Mammoth ahead 2-1 early in the second period, but the lead didn't last. The 27-year-old defenseman is up to seven goals, 32 points, 97 shots on net, 78 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 46 appearances. A return to the 60-point mark for the first time since 2022-23 is within the plausible range of outcomes if Sergachev stays healthy for the rest of the campaign.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Sparks comeback win Sunday

Morrissey produced two assists in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Devils.

With the Jets down 3-2 late in the second period, Morrissey got to work. He had a hand in the tying goal by Gabriel Vilardi just before the second intermission, then fed Tanner Pearson for the game-winner early in the third. It was Morrissey's first multi-point performance since Dec. 13, and through 44 contests this season, the star blueliner has seven goals and 36 points.

  • Luke Hughes D | NJ

Devils' Luke Hughes: Two-point effort Sunday

Hughes picked up two assists in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Jets.

The 22-year-old blueliner had a hand in tallies by Nico Hischier in the first period and Cody Glass in the second. Hughes has gotten onto the scoresheet in two straight games, the first time he's managed that since late November, and on the season he's produced five goals and 24 points in 45 contests.

  • Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Set to be evaluated Monday

Head coach Dean Evason said after Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth that Mateychuk (upper body) will be evaluated Monday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.

Mateychuk played just one shift during Sunday's victory before exiting the game. If the left-shot blueliner is sidelined for Tuesday's home matchup against the Flames, Jake Christiansen will draw back into the lineup.

  • Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Status in question

Mateychuk (upper body) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Mammoth.

Mateychuk sustained his upper-body injury in the opening frame of Sunday's game in Utah. If the 2022 first-round pick is unable to return, Egor Zamula will probably receive an uptick in work on the blue line.

  • Adam Jiricek D | STL

Blues' Adam Jiricek: Tallies twice for Brantford

Jiricek scored two goals in OHL Brantford's 7-3 win over Windsor on Sunday.

Jiricek is coming off a successful stint with Czechia at the World Junior Championship, where he had five goals and an assist in seven games to help his country to a silver medal. He's been back with Brantford for three games, earning three goals and an assist. The defenseman is now at 13 goals and 33 points through 28 OHL contests this season.

  • Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Under the weather

Chychrun isn't available for Sunday's game in Nashville due to an illness.

Chychrun will miss his first game of the season due to his ailment. The left-shot defenseman will likely be replaced in the lineup Sunday by Trevor van Riemsdyk. Chychrun's absence against the Predators will also result in Rasmus Sandin receiving an increased workload on the left side of the blue line. The Capitals' next game is against the Canadiens on Tuesday.

  • Islanders' Isaiah George: Collects three points

George scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Bridgeport's 5-1 win over Hartford on Sunday.

George has battled injuries a couple of times this season, with his three points Sunday representing his first contribution since Dec. 13. He's now at two goals and six helpers over 21 appearances. The Islanders have plenty of blue-line depth at the NHL level, so the 21-year-old George is likely to spend most of the campaign working on his development.

  • Senators' Lassi Thomson: Nets two goals Sunday

Thomson scored two goals in AHL Belleville's 6-5 overtime loss to Rochester on Sunday.

Thomson had gone four games without a point and six contests without a goal entering Sunday. He's now at nine goals and 15 points through 35 outings this season. Thomson had a call-up to Ottawa earlier in the season but didn't make an appearance, and he hasn't exactly impressed in his AHL time so far.

  • Sharks' John Klingberg: Removed from IR

Klingberg (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Sunday.

According to Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now, Klingberg will replace Nick Leddy in Sunday's lineup against Vegas. The 33-year-old Klingberg missed the last four games. He has accounted for nine goals, 16 points, 48 shots on net, 41 blocked shots and 23 hits through 31 appearances this season.
