K'Andre Miller D | CAR
Hurricanes' K'Andre Miller: Dominates early with three points
Miller scored two goals, distributed an assist and put two shots on net in Tuesday's 6-3 win over Dallas.
Miller caught fire in the early stages of Tuesday's contest. He scored the opening goal nearly seven minutes into the first period before grabbing the primary helper on Logan Stankoven's goal later on. Just five minutes after the start of the second, Miller lit the lamp again to secure his second multi-goal game of the season. Overall, the 25-year-old blueliner has four goals, 15 assists, 59 shots on net, 47 hits and 36 blocks through 35 games this campaign. He now has six points in as many games and is above the pace needed for the third 30-plus point effort of his career. Miller's move to Carolina has rejuvenated his offensive prowess, giving him a point ceiling near his career high of 43 across 79 regular-season games in 2022-23. This fact, combined with his solid package of category-coverage stats, makes him a solid fantasy option in nearly all league formats.

Ilya Solovyov D | PIT
Avalanche's Ilya Solovyov: Gets first point with Colorado
Solovyov notched an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Lightning.
The helper was Solovyov's first point in 11 appearances for the Avalanche after being claimed off waivers from the Flames before the start of the season. He's played in consecutive contests, filling in for Devon Toews (upper body), who is expected to be out at least a couple of weeks. The Avalanche haven't shown a lot of trust in Solovyov. However, with injuries plaguing their forward group as well, they may not have the flexibility to bring up a defenseman to challenge Solovyov's spot in the lineup.

Mason Lohrei D | BOS
Bruins' Mason Lohrei: Finds twine in loss
Lohrei scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Kraken.
Lohrei has a goal and three helpers over his last six games. The 24-year-old defenseman is getting active on offense despite a third-pairing role, and he should have a path to power-play time while Hampus Lindholm (undisclosed) is on injured reserve. Lohrei is up to three goals, 17 points, 34 shots on net, 51 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 38 appearances this season.

Vince Dunn D | SEA
Kraken's Vince Dunn: Supplies pair of assists
Dunn logged two power-play assists and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Bruins.
This was Dunn's first multi-point effort since Dec. 10 against the Kings. He's been productive lately, especially on the power play -- he has earned nine points, including eight on the power play, over his last 13 contests. For the season, the defenseman is at 23 points (13 with the man advantage), 88 shots on net, 45 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-12 rating over 40 appearances in his usual top-four role.

Zach Werenski D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Nets goal Tuesday
Werenski scored a goal on two shots and went minus-3 in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Sharks.
Werenski has gotten on the scoresheet in eight straight outings (seven goals, eight assists), with only a lower-body injury slowing him down by sidelining him for four games during that span. The 28-year-old defenseman continues to be one of the absolute best from the blue line while working massive minutes for the Blue Jackets. Werenski is at 16 goals, 45 points, 141 shots on net, 54 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 38 appearances.
-
Mario Ferraro D | SJ
Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Earns two points late in win
Ferraro scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Both of Ferraro's points came on empty-netters, as he scored one from the full length of the rink before helping out on Macklin Celebrini's tally. With four points over the last five games, Ferraro has been a little more involved than usual on offense, though it's unlikely to last. The defenseman is at three goals, 11 points, 49 shots on net, 77 hits, 83 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 42 appearances, giving him a chance to push for just the second 20-point campaign of his career.

Nick Blankenburg D | COL
Predators' Nick Blankenburg: Pots goal in loss
Blankenburg scored a goal in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Oilers.
Blankenburg scored for the first time since Nov. 29 versus the Jets. While he hasn't been filling the net, he had three assists over his previous six games before potting his goal Tuesday. The defenseman is up to a career-high five goals with 13 assists, 45 shots on net, 34 blocked shots, 26 hits and a minus-4 rating over 32 appearances this season. He's got a fairly safe spot in the lineup, especially as long as the Predators continue to dress seven defensemen as they have for the last couple of contests.

Brandon Carlo D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Brandon Carlo: Returns after missing 23 games
Carlo (foot) played 17:41 and was plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.
He returned after missing 23 games with an ankle injury that required surgery. Carlo is a rock-solid shutdown defender with limited offensive upside. He has just two assists in 19 games this season. Carlo will eventually deliver blocks to fantasy managers, but that may not be enough to make him worthy of a roster spot.

Darren Raddysh D | TB
Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Among NHL's top scoring defenders
Raddysh had two assists in a 4-2 win over the Avalanche on Tuesday.
Raddysh has put up four straight multi-point games (four goals, five assists), and he has 13 shots and a plus-6 rating in that span. He has put up 36 points in as many games in his pinch-me-I'm-dreaming season. That's enough to put Raddysh in a tie with Miro Heiskanen for fifth overall from the blue line. Raddysh's 12 goals put him in a three-way tie with Cale Makar and Matthew Schaefer for third overall. There's no one who would have predicted this output from the 29-year-old undrafted defender, but Raddysh has stepped up large in the absence of Victor Hedman (elbow), who will be out until at least February.

Jamie Drysdale D | PHI
Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Hurt in Tuesday's contest
Drysdale (undisclosed) won't return to Tuesday's game versus the Ducks.
While officially an undisclosed injury, Drysdale was on the receiving end of a high elbow from Ross Johnston. The 23-year-old Drysdale can be considered day-to-day for now. If he misses time, Noah Juulsen will draw into the lineup.
