  • Rangers' Connor Mackey: Returns to minors

Mackey was reassigned to AHL Hartford on Saturday.

Mackey was a healthy scratch for Saturday's 6-3 win over Philadelphia after being recalled from the minors Friday. He still hasn't played yet in the NHL this season, but he has two goals, seven points and 54 PIM in 32 outings with Hartford in 2025-26.

  • Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Moves to IR

Ristolainen (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.

Ristolainen missed his third straight game against Buffalo on Saturday. He also won't be available for Philadelphia's upcoming three-game road trip, which begins Monday versus Vegas, but it's unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. He has three assists, 24 shots on goal, 24 blocked shots and 16 hits in 13 appearances this season.

  • Predators' Andreas Englund: Returned to minors

Englund was reassigned to AHL Milwaukee on Saturday.

After being recalled from the minors, Englund was a healthy scratch in Friday's 7-3 win over Colorado. He hasn't seen any NHL action yet during the 2025-26 campaign. Englund has two goals, four assists and 44 PIM in 30 AHL outings this season.

  • Nick Leddy D | SJ

Sharks' Nick Leddy: Nabs assist in loss

Leddy logged an assist and two hits in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Leddy was scratched for 10 of the Sharks' previous 15 games. The 34-year-old filled in for Vincent Iorio in Friday's contest, but Leddy's playing time has been trending down since late October. He's earned just four assists with six shots on net, 26 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 19 appearances this season.

  • Sharks' John Klingberg: First point since return

Klingberg logged an assist and went minus-2 in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Klingberg earned his first point in three contests since he returned from a four-game absence due to a lower-body injury. The defenseman's production had started to fade prior to the injury -- he has just two points over his last 10 outings, but he's still in a top-four role with power-play time. Klingberg has 17 points (seven on the power play), 52 shots on net, 45 blocked shots, 25 hits and 16 PIM over 34 appearances.

  • Golden Knights' Dylan Coghlan: Summoned from minors

Coghlan was recalled from AHL Henderson on Saturday.

Coghlan will provide the Golden Knights with a depth defender ahead of Saturday's game against Nashville, but it's unclear if he will be in the lineup. He logged 15:58 of ice time against Columbus on Jan. 8 and blocked three shots.

  • Panthers' Uvis Balinskis: Nets lone goal in loss

Balinskis scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 9-1 loss to the Hurricanes.

Balinskis signed a two-year contract extension earlier in the day, and he celebrated with just his second goal of the season. The 29-year-old defenseman is in line for power-play time while Seth Jones (upper body) is out. Balinskis has nine points, 33 shots on net, 47 hits, 27 blocked shots and 24 PIM over 37 appearances this season, mainly in a bottom-four role.

  • Hurricanes' Alexander Nikishin: Earns two points Friday

Nikishin scored a power-play goal on three shots, dished an assist, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Friday's 9-1 win over the Panthers.

Nikishin is up to two goals and four assists over nine outings in January. The defenseman could be in line for extra power-play time while Shayne Gostisbehere (lower body) works his way back to health. Nikishin has six goals, 20 points, 72 shots on net, 87 hits, 57 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating over 47 appearances this season.

  • Zayne Parekh D | CGY

Flames' Zayne Parekh: Sent to AHL for conditioning

Parekh (upper body) was assigned to AHL on Calgary on Saturday for a conditioning loan.

Parekh has missed the last four games due to an injury, but it appears as though he is ready to test the issue with some playing time in the minors. He has registered one assist, 11 shots on goal, five blocked shots and five hits in 11 NHL appearances this season.

  • Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Back at practice

Heiskanen (personal) participated in Saturday's practice, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports.

Following a two-game absence, Heiskanen should return to the lineup against Tampa Bay on Sunday. He has accounted for seven goals, 36 points, 93 shots on net and 87 blocked shots in 46 appearances this season while serving on the top pairing and the first power-play unit.
