  • Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Pulled by concussion spotter

Sanheim was removed from Tuesday's game versus the Blackhawks by the concussion spotter, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Sanheim was shaken up after a hit in the third period, but head coach Rick Tocchet indicated the defenseman is likely fine. Still, fantasy managers will want to double-check that Sanheim has been cleared prior to Sunday's game versus the Kraken.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Capitals' John Carlson: Five points in last four games

Carlson scored a goal in a 7-3 loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.

He wired a snap shot from the top of the right circle 23 seconds into the second frame and beat Igor Shesterkin stick side. Carlson has a point in each of his last two games (one goal, one assist) and five points, including two goals, in his last four outings. Overall, his 11.4 shooting percentage remains bloated -- his career average over 1,121 regular-season games is a tidy 6.3. However, Carlson's current scoring pace is as good as what he put up in his late 20s, so we'll take everything we can get from this 35-year-old.

  • Hurricanes' Alexander Nikishin: Status uncertain after early exit

Nikishin was seen icing his right ankle in the locker room following Tuesday's game versus the Panthers, and head coach Rod Brind'Amour didn't have an update on the defenseman's status, Cory Lavalette of The North State Journal reports.

Nikishin's injury could complicate things for the Hurricanes, who are also missing Jaccob Slavin (upper body). Nikishin will have some time to rest ahead of Saturday's game versus the Red Wings.

  • Bruins' Victor Soderstrom: Drops to AHL

Soderstrom was reassigned to AHL Providence on Tuesday, Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site reports.

Soderstrom was scratched Tuesday versus the Canadiens after five straight games in the lineup. Without a clear path to the lineup now that Vladislav Kolyachonok is with the Bruins, Soderstrom should get more consistent playing time with Providence after the AHL's holiday break.

  • Capitals' Rasmus Sandin: Unavailable Tuesday

Sandin (upper body) won't play against the Rangers on Tuesday.

Sandin will miss at least one game, but he has some time to recover before Saturday's road matchup against New Jersey. He has accounted for two goals, 10 points, 36 shots on net, 55 blocked shots and 45 hits across 31 appearances this season.

  • Vince Dunn D | SEA

Kraken's Vince Dunn: Ruled out Tuesday

Dunn (upper body) will not be in the lineup versus the Kings on Tuesday, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports.

Dunn was hurt during Monday's clash with the Ducks and will now be sidelined for the second game of the Kraken's back-to-back. Injuries are starting to pile up for Seattle, as the team will also be without Brandon Montour (hand). With Dunn unavailable, Ryker Evans figures to see a significant uptick in ice time, while Cale Fleury should step into the lineup for the first time since Oct. 23 versus the Jets.

  • Maple Leafs' Chris Tanev: Playing against Pens

Tanev (upper body) will be in the lineup versus Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.

With Tanev back in action, Philippe Myers will likely be relegated to a spot in the press box as a healthy scratch while Henry Thrun figures to head back to the minors. Prior to getting hurt, Tanev had recorded two assists, six shots and eight blocks in eight outings. Given his offensive limitations and lack of hits, Tanev is unlikely to offer more than mid-range fantasy value at best.

  • Golden Knights' Shea Theodore: Moves to IR

Theodore (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, SinBin Vegas reports.

Vegas recalled Dylan Coghlan from AHL Henderson in a corresponding move. Theodore is week-to-week and will miss his fourth straight game against San Jose on Tuesday. An exact timeline for his recovery is unclear, but he might return before the end of January. Theodore has accounted for four goals, 20 points, 74 shots on net and 48 blocked shots in 31 appearances this season.

  • Blue Jackets' Damon Severson: Logs two power-play helpers

Severson notched two power-play assists, three shots on goal and four PIM in Monday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Severson has three helpers over the last four games. He's getting a bit better usage than usual to help cover the absence of Zach Werenski (lower body). Severson has earned 12 points (four on the power play), 42 shots on net, 28 hits, 35 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 36 appearances in a top-four role this year.

  • Tyler Myers D | DAL

Canucks' Tyler Myers: Gets on scoresheet with assist

Myers logged an assist, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Flyers.

The helper was Myers' first point over 10 outings in December, to go with 16 blocked shots, 10 PIM and eight hits this month. The 35-year-old defenseman continues to see top-four minutes and will likely be leaned on for shutdown usage when partnered with rookie Zeev Buium. Myers has eight points, 37 shots on net, 70 blocks, 43 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-10 rating over 36 contests this season.
