Mikhail Sergachev D | UTA
Mammoth's Mikhail Sergachev: Contributes two helpers
Sergachev notched two assists, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.
Sergachev had a hand in goals by Alex Kerfoot and Clayton Keller, with the latter's tally being the game-winner in overtime. The 27-year-old Sergachev continues to offer strong offense from the blue line. He's picked up a goal and eight helpers over 12 contests in December, and he's at 25 points, 81 shots on net, 65 blocks, 24 PIM and a minus-7 rating through 38 appearances this season.

Charlie McAvoy D | BOS
Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: One of each in loss
McAvoy scored a goal on four shots and added a power-play assist in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Senators.
McAvoy's goal was his first in six games since he returned from a facial injury. He's added four assists in that span. The defenseman is at a goal, 18 helpers, 41 shots on net, 41 blocked shots, 31 hits and 30 PIM through 25 appearances. McAvoy's a quality all-around defenseman for fantasy who will continue to receive top billing on the Bruins' blue line.

Jonas Brodin D | MIN
Wild's Jonas Brodin: Picks up helper Sunday
Brodin logged an assist and four blocked shots in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Avalanche.
This was Brodin's second game back from a lower-body injury that cost him four contests. In the time while he was out, the Wild acquired Quinn Hughes, so Brodin may see a slightly lighter workload, though the team figures to lean heavily on its top blueliners anyway. He has 10 points, 30 shots on net, 72 blocked shots and a plus-13 rating in 32 appearances. With Hughes around to help carry the offense, Brodin may function more as a shutdown defenseman moving forward.

Timothy Liljegren D | WAS
Sharks' Timothy Liljegren: Unavailable for Tuesday's game
Liljegren (upper body) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Golden Knights, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
Liljegren sustained an injury during Saturday's morning skate, and he'll be unavailable for a second consecutive game heading into the holiday break. It's not yet clear whether he'll be able to return when the Sharks resume play against the Canucks on Saturday.

Zach Werenski D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Not playing Monday
Werenski (lower body) won't play against the Kings on Monday.
Werenski is day-to-day and will miss at least one game after sustaining an injury in Saturday's 4-3 loss to Anaheim. He has accumulated 14 goals, 40 points, 132 shots on net and 52 blocked shots across 35 appearances this season. Due to Werenski's absence, Jake Christiansen will likely be in the lineup for Monday's contest.

Brandon Montour D | SEA
Kraken's Brandon Montour: Undergoes hand surgery
Montour will be sidelined for at least four weeks after having hand surgery, the Kraken announced Monday. Additionally, the blueliner was placed on injured reserve.
Montour has already been on the shelf for the last two games and now figures to be out of action until mid-to-late January. Through 27 games this year, the 31-year-old defenseman has generated six goals and 10 helpers, including four power-play points.

Jaccob Slavin D | CAR
Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Considered week-to-week
The Hurricanes announced Monday that Slavin is considered week-to-week due to an upper-body injury.
Slavin recently returned from a two-month absence due to a lower-body issue, but he's dealing with a separate injury ahead of the holiday break that will force him to miss more time. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but it seems possible that the Hurricanes will elect to place him on injured reserve, especially if he's slated to be sidelined after the holiday break.

Cale Makar D | COL
Avalanche's Cale Makar: Adds three points in win
Makar scored a power-play goal, earned two assists and fired seven shots on net in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Wild.
Makar had a hand in all three goals scored by Colorado across the first two periods of Sunday's contest. He assisted the tallies scored by Martin Necas and Nathan MacKinnon before scoring himself on a power play late in the second. With the three-point effort, Makar is up to 11 goals, 32 assists, 105 shots on net and 61 blocks through 35 appearances this season. Sunday's performance came after just his fourth scoreless outing since the start of November. Makar remains the undisputed top blueliner to have in fantasy and is currently on pace for the century mark in points, which would be a new career high if he can continue his current level of production.

Noah Hanifin D | LV
Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Helps on all three goals in loss
Hanifin posted three assists (two on the power play), four shots on net and four blocked shots in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers.
Hanifin is poised for a larger role on the power play in the absence of Shea Theodore (upper body). The 28-year-old Hanifin made good on that extra usage, helping out on goals by Mitch Marner, Tomas Hertl and Pavel Dorofeyev. This was Hanifin's first multi-point effort of the season, giving him two goals, eight helpers (four on the power play), 65 shots on net, 39 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 24 appearances in a top-four role.

Alec Regula D | EDM
Oilers' Alec Regula: Manages helper in return
Regula posted an assist, two blocked shots and two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Golden Knights.
Regula missed two games due to an illness, but it didn't sap his momentum. He's earned three helpers over his last four outings while seeing steady bottom-four usage. The 25-year-old blueliner should be able to stay in the lineup over Riley Stillman until Jake Walman (lower body) is able to return. Regula has three assists, 13 shots on net, 19 PIM, 14 hits, 28 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating over 21 appearances, so he's not expected to be much of a factor in fantasy.
