  • Ryan Ufko D | NSH

Predators' Ryan Ufko: Earns first career point

Ufko notched an assist in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Bruins.

Ufko was called up after Nick Blankenburg was traded to the Avalanche on Wednesday. The 22-year-old Ufko has 44 points in 50 AHL games with Milwaukee and will now get a chance to prove himself with the Predators, albeit in a third-pairing role to begin with. He's got the talent to be a major part of Nashville's blue line moving forward, so fantasy managers should keep an eye on how he does with this audition. Thursday's contest was just his second career NHL game.

  • Predators' Nicolas Hague: Buries opening goal in win

Hague scored a goal, added two PIM, logged two hits, blocked three shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Bruins.

Hague had gone 13 games without a point, and he lost five contests due to a lower-body injury and one to an illness in that span. The 27-year-old defenseman is up to three goals, 12 points, 40 shots on net, 63 hits, 46 blocked shots, 36 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 48 appearances. That matches his point total from the previous two years with Vegas, though he needed 73 games in 2023-24 and 68 outings in 2024-25 to get there. Hague should see steady top-four minutes for the rest of the campaign.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Ducks' John Carlson: Stunning trade to Anaheim

Carlson (lower body) was traded to the Ducks from the Capitals on Thursday in exchange for a conditional first-round pick and a 2026 third-round pick.

Carlson had played his entire career with the Capitals since he was drafted 27th overall in 2008. He ranks fifth in franchise history with 771 points and is second in team history with 1,143 games played. This stunning trade will see Carlson head out west, where he'll provide valuable offense as well as veteran experience on a young Ducks team that also has Jacob Trouba and Radko Gudas on the right side of the blue line. Carlson's status is uncertain due to his injury, but once he's ready to play, he should be in a top-four role and on one of Anaheim's two power-play units. Carlson will be a free agent this summer.

  • Jacob Bryson D | WPG

Jets' Jacob Bryson: Flipped in trade

Bryson, Isak Rosen, a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick were traded to the Jets from the Sabres on Thursday in exchange for Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.

Bryson will help replenish the Jets' defensive depth after they flipped two blueliners in this deal. In 35 appearances this season, Bryson has five points and 20 blocked shots. He has a total of six goals and 42 assists over 289 contests in parts of six seasons with the Sabres in his career, so he isn't likely to do much with the Jets.

  • Luke Schenn D | BUF

Sabres' Luke Schenn: Dealt to Buffalo

Schenn and Logan Stanley were traded to the Sabres from the Jets on Thursday in exchange for Isak Rosen, Jacob Bryson, a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.

Schenn continues to rack up frequent flier miles -- this is the third time he's been traded in the last year, give or take a day. Schenn is a physical defenseman who can bring critical physicality in a third-pairing role, but he's not a lock to be in the lineup regularly for the Sabres, who may want to keep Michael Kesselring active more often. Schenn is good insurance for any injuries that could happen down the stretch, and his physical play will also be useful if Buffalo is able to get into the playoffs. He has just seven points with 139 hits and 54 blocked shots over 46 outings this season.

  • Sabres' Logan Stanley: Heading to Buffalo

Stanley and Luke Schenn were traded to the Sabres from the Jets on Thursday in exchange for Isak Rosen, Jacob Bryson, a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.

Stanley picked a good season to have a career year, collecting 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) with 74 shots on net, 96 hits, 69 blocked shots and 99 PIM over 59 appearances. The 27-year-old is a pending unrestricted free agent. With the Sabres, he'll likely be limited to a bottom-four role and no power-play time, as Rasmus Dahlin, Bowen Byram and Owen Power already command big minutes in prime situations. That means Stanley's offense will take a hit, though he could do more with less ice time since he's likely to get more favorable matchups.

  • Rangers' Vladislav Gavrikov: Three-game, three-point streak

Gavrikov scored a power-play goal in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs.

Gavrikov is on a three-game, three-point scoring streak that includes two goals. The goal was his 11th (24 points; 61 games). Gavrikov has never scored more than six goals in any of his eight seasons, so this is a true lightning in a bottle year for the Russian defender.

  • Adam Jiricek D | STL

Blues' Adam Jiricek: Pots pair for Brantford

Jiricek scored twice in OHL Brantford's 5-3 win over Barrie on Thursday.

Jiricek has a pair of two-goal games over his last three outings. The defenseman is up to 17 goals and 51 points across 48 appearances this season, showcasing some unexpectedly strong offense. He signed his entry-level deal in July of 2024, so he'll likely be headed to AHL Springfield for the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Kraken's Will Reynolds: Two points for Newfoundland

Reynolds scored a goal and added an assist in QMJHL Newfoundland's 4-3 loss to Rouyn-Noranda on Thursday.

Reynolds has produced a career year with three goals and 20 helpers over 56 appearances. He doesn't add much on offense -- it's already clear his path forward as a professional will be in a pure shutdown role. The Kraken prospect will need plenty of development time before potentially getting to the NHL.

  • Senators' Nikolas Matinpalo: Won't play Thursday

Matinpalo (undisclosed) will miss Thursday's game against Calgary, per the NHL media site.

Matinpalo has four assists in 30 appearances in 2025-26. Even when Matinpalo is ready to return, he might not draw into the lineup.
