Brandt Clarke D | LA
Kings' Brandt Clarke: Two-point effort Friday
Clarke notched two assists in Friday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Ducks.
The 22-year-old blueliner helped set up tallies by Kevin Fiala in the second period and Alex Turcotte in the third. Clarke remains streaky after he managed just two assists through the first 10 games in November. In the last two contests, he's popped for a goal and three points. Through 24 games on the season, he's produced three goals, 12 points, 47 shots on net, 28 blocked shots, 14 hits, 14 PIM and a plus-6 rating.

Charlie McAvoy D | BOS
Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Skating ahead of practice
McAvoy (face) skated on his own before Saturday's practice, Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald reports.
McAvoy is still not close to a return, as he wore a full face shield as well as a jaw protector for the skate. Still, it is a positive sign for his recovery that he returned to the ice for the first time since undergoing surgery. He was struck in the face by a slap shot against Montreal on Nov. 15. McAvoy has 14 helpers, 32 blocked shots and 26 hits across 19 games this season.

John Marino D | UTA
Mammoth's John Marino: Pockets pair of helpers
Marino logged two assists and a plus-3 rating in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Marino has three helpers over his last two games and a total of eight assists across 14 outings in November. The 28-year-old defenseman is capable of chipping in some supporting offense, though he'll never post big scoring numbers. On the year, he's at a total of 13 points in 25 games, one point away from matching his output from 35 contests a year ago. Marino has added 26 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating through 25 appearances this season.

Miro Heiskanen D | DAL
Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Sends two power-play assists
Heiskanen logged two power-play assists and three shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 win over the Mammoth.
Heiskanen is 12 games removed from his last goal, but he has 16 assists, including eight on the power play, in that span. The 26-year-old defenseman helped out on goals by Roope Hintz and Wyatt Johnston in this contest. Heiskanen has 22 points, 57 shots on net, 41 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 25 appearances this season, putting him in a position to challenge for his career-high 73 points from the 2022-23 campaign.

Nicklaus Perbix D | NSH
Predators' Nick Perbix: Ends slump with helper
Perbix notched an assist and two PIM in Friday's 4-3 win over the Blackhawks.
Perbix snapped an 18-game point drought when he helped out on Ryan O'Reilly's game-winning goal in the third period. The 27-year-old Perbix went minus-13 with 24 shots on net and 17 blocked shots in that span. He won't put up a ton of offense, but he can do better than he has over the last month-plus. For the year, the defenseman is at four points, 29 shots on net, 26 blocks, eight PIM and a minus-8 rating through 24 appearances.

Brendan Smith D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Brendan Smith: Secures first helper for new team
Smith logged an assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Penguins.
This was Smith's second game of the season at the NHL level. He signed with the Blue Jackets on Monday after turning a professional tryout offer during training camp into an AHL-only deal initially. The defenseman will compete with Jake Christiansen for the last spot on the blue line for the foreseeable future. Smith has a helper, four shots on net, two hits, a blocked shot and a plus-1 rating so far.

Zach Werenski D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Collects two more points
Werenski scored a goal on two shots, added a shorthanded assist and blocked two shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Werenski was in on both of the Blue Jackets' second-period tallies, with his goal putting them ahead 3-1 in the dying seconds of the frame. The 28-year-old defenseman has five goals and eight assists over his last nine contests as he continues to be among the NHL's best blueliners. Overall, Werenski is at nine goals, 24 points, 97 shots on net, 36 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 25 appearances. His helper Friday was his first shorthanded point of the campaign.

Kris Letang D | PIT
Penguins' Kris Letang: One of each in win over Columbus
Letang scored a goal on three shots, supplied an assist and added two hits in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.
Letang set up Sidney Crosby for the opening goal at 6:10 of the first period, then won the game himself 59 seconds into overtime. The goal was Letang's second of the season. He entered Friday on a five-game point drought, a span in which the Penguins had just 11 goals as a team. The 38-year-old blueliner has accumulated 10 points, 37 shots on net, 28 hits, 29 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 23 outings this season while regularly playing on the second pairing and second power-play unit.

Troy Stecher D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Troy Stecher: First point with new team
Stecher put up an assist Friday in a 4-2 loss to the Capitals.
The point was his first in a Leafs uniform (five games) and his first this season (11 games combined). Stecher doesn't really contribute in any other counting category, so he's not a fantasy option.

Lucas Carlsson D | SJ
Sharks' Lucas Carlsson: Nets both goals in AHL loss
Carlsson scored a pair of goals in AHL San Jose's 4-2 loss to Colorado on Friday.
Carlsson began the year with an injury, and he's be in the AHL since healthy. For the season, the 28-year-old is at six goals and eight points over 17 appearances. The Sharks already have a logjam on the blue line at the NHL level, so chances are slim of Carlsson receiving a call-up in 2025-26.
