Charles-Alexis Legault D | CAR
Hurricanes' Charles-Alexis Legault: Recalled Wednesday
Legault was promoted from AHL Chicago on Wednesday.
Legault will rejoin the Hurricanes just a few days after getting sent down. He will supplement the team's depth after Shayne Gostisbehere (lower body) sustained a new injury in Tuesday's contest against the Golden Knights.

Nikolas Matinpalo D | OTT
Senators' Nikolas Matinpalo: Secures first assist of 2025-26
Matinpalo notched an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to the Blackhawks.
Matinpalo has played in five straight games after spending four contests from Oct 13-18 in the press box. For now, it looks like he has the advantage over Jordan Spence for the last spot on the blue line. Matinpalo has one assist, five shots on net, 10 hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over seven appearances. Spence offers more scoring upside and will likely draw in once head coach Travis Green wants to get more offense from the blue line. Still, Matinpalo seems likely to get his fair share of games.

Louis Crevier D | CHI
Blackhawks' Louis Crevier: One of each in big win
Crevier scored a goal, added an assist and doled out three hits in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Senators.
Crevier earned both points in the first period, setting up Colton Dach on the opening goal before putting the Blackhawks ahead 2-0 with a tally of his own. As long as the Blackhawks continue to use seven defensemen regularly, Crevier should have no trouble staying in the lineup. The 24-year-old blueliner is up to four points, nine shots on net, 14 hits, five blocked shots, 21 PIM and a plus-4 rating through nine appearances.

Matt Dumba D | PIT
Penguins' Matt Dumba: Secures helper
Dumba logged an assist, two hits, four PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Flyers.
The helper was Dumba's first point in four appearances for the Penguins. The defenseman has added one shot on net, seven hits, three blocked shots and 11 PIM. He's not guaranteed to be in the lineup -- Dumba often sits when Harrison Brunicke plays, as both are right-shot defensemen. Dumba's fantasy value will remain minimal as long as he's in a part-time role.

Erik Cernak D | TB
Lightning's Erik Cernak: Gets on scoresheet Tuesday
Cernak logged an assist, six hits and two PIM in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Predators.
Cernak is rarely a big contributor on offense, and that's held true with him earning two helpers over the Lightning's first 10 games. The 28-year-old continues to be a physical defenseman in a top-four role, racking up 21 hits, 23 blocked shots and eight PIM this season. His playing style can leave him vulnerable to injuries, but the lack of offense -- his career high is 21 points, set in 76 regular-season outings last year -- is what keeps him off the radar in most fantasy formats.

Quinn Hughes D | MIN
Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Not traveling to St. Louis
Hughes (lower body) won't travel with the team ahead of Thursday's game against St. Louis, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports.
Hughes has missed the last two games due to his lower-body injury, and he'll be unavailable for a third consecutive matchup Thursday. However, general manager Patrik Allvin said Wednesday that he hopes Hughes will be able to join the team ahead of Saturday's game in Minnesota or Monday's matchup in Nashville.
-
Charlie McAvoy D | BOS
Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Pockets pair of assists
McAvoy notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
This was McAvoy's second two-assist effort over the last four games. The veteran defenseman is up to eight helpers across 12 outings this season, and he's added 18 shots on net, 19 hits, 19 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-4 rating. McAvoy provides strong category coverage, and he's also producing offense at a rate in line with the best years of his career early in 2025-26.

Jaycob Megna D | LV
Golden Knights' Jaycob Megna: Heading to minors
Megna was reassigned to AHL Henderson on Wednesday.
Megna spent a week with the NHL club but didn't appear in any games during his stint with Vegas. He'll now head back to the minors, where he should see more consistent playing time. Over four AHL appearances this year, he's recorded an assist, six PIM and a plus-2 rating.
-
Zach Werenski D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Pops for two-point night
Werenski scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.
The All-Star defenseman blasted a one-timer past Alex Lyon through a screen late in the second period before setting up Miles Wood's winner in overtime. Werenski has had a tough start to the season, getting onto the scoresheet in only three of nine games. However, two multi-point performances have left him with a respectable two goals, six points, 34 shots on net, 15 blocked shots, seven hits and an impressive plus-7 rating.

Miro Heiskanen D | DAL
Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Assists game winner
Heiskanen dished out a power-play assist and placed two shots on target in Tuesday's 1-0 shutout win over Washington.
Heiskanen helped Tyler Seguin secure the game-winning tally Tuesday in a one-goal battle. The 26-year-old Heiskanen is up to three assists, five points, 26 shots on target and 14 blocked shots through 10 games this season. The point with a man advantage could be a sign of more to come for the blueliner. Heiskanen currently holds the top spot on the power play over Thomas Harley, though they could continue to battle for that position throughout the year. Heiskanen's strong category coverage makes him a great option in most fantasy formats this season.
