  • John Carlson D | ANA

Ducks' John Carlson: Earns first career hat trick

Carlson scored three shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Sharks.

Carlson had an even-strength goal in the first period that stood as the game-winner, and he added two power-play tallies in the third. Remarkably, he never had a hat trick in 1,143 games for the Capitals, but it took him just 13 contests for the Ducks to achieve the feat. The blueliner is up to 14 goals, 58 points, 150 shots on net, 106 blocked shots, 30 PIM and a plus-9 rating over 68 appearances between the two teams this season, including 12 points since he joined Anaheim.

  • Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Hits 70-point plateau

Raddysh scored a goal in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Canadiens.

Raddysh is tied for third overall in goals (22) from the blue line, and his 70 points are the sixth-best total for that position this season. Raddysh has had a breakout season, but we don't know how he can keep this up in future seasons. Be ready to make an offseason trade in dynasty or keeper formats, especially if he caps this dream season off with a long and successful playoff run. Raddysh's value will never be higher.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Scores goal but struggles continue

Rielly scored a goal Thursday in a 5-3 loss to the Islanders.

Rielly has had a tough season, so he'll take this gimme goal -- he fired a pass to the crease that deflected off Matt Barzal's stick and through Ilya Sorokin's legs late in the the third. Rielly started the season reasonably well with 23 points (five goals, 18 assists) in his first 29 games, but he has just six goals and seven assists in 46 games since Dec. 13. Rielly's contract runs through 2029-30, but there's plenty of speculation in Toronto that the last three games of the season will be his last in blue and white. A change of scenery might improve his fantasy value, but it's hard to imagine he'll skate with a player much better than Auston Matthews.

  • Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Doubtful for Saturday

Heiskanen (lower body) is unlikely to play Saturday versus the Rangers, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Heiskanen was unable to finish Thursday's game versus the Wild, and the Stars have no need to rush him back before the playoffs. With Heiskanen out, Thomas Harley is poised for more power-play usage. The Stars have a number of options on the blue line to bring into the lineup.

  • Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: From afterthought to indispensable

DeAngelo (lower body) picked up two assists Thursday in a 5-3 win over the Maple Leafs.

One came on the power play. DeAngelo missed six games with the injury. He has five goals, 30 assists, 143 shots and seven power-play points (one goal, six assists) in 73 games. DeAngelo runs the second power-play unit on Long Island. He is an indispensable part of the Isles playoff push, and that's is a long way from what managers believed possible with his reputation. The team is three points from the second wild-card position in the East.

  • Islanders' Kashawn Aitcheson: Three-point effort Thursday

Aitcheson scored a goal and added two assists in OHL Barrie's 4-2 win over Ottawa in Game 1 on Thursday.

Aitcheson is off to a positive start in the Colts' second-round series. The defenseman is up to two goals and eight points, as well as 12 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over four playoff contests. He should continue to be a dynamic presence for Barrie throughout the team's playoff run.

  • Islanders' Marshall Warren: Three helpers for Bridgeport

Warren recorded three assists in AHL Bridgeport's 6-5 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Thursday.

Warren earned his first multi-point effort since Jan. 30 with this performance. The defenseman has six goals, 30 points, 99 shots on net and a plus-11 rating over 51 appearances this season, a big jump from his 17-point effort over 53 contests in the 2024-25 regular season. He's also seen some NHL time in 2025-26, earning three assists over eight games for the Islanders.

  • Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Hurt in Thursday's game

Heiskanen (lower body) is questionable to return to Thursday's game versus the Wild.

Heiskanen was injured on a check by Ryan Hartman in the first period. The 26-year-old Heiskanen's questionable label is moderately encouraging, but the Stars really don't need to risk further injury for the defensemen, especially in this game against their first-round playoff opponent.

  • Islanders' Matthew Schaefer: Ties all-time rookie goal leader

Schaefer scored a goal Thursday in a 5-3 win over Toronto on Thursday.

Schaefer's dominant season continues. The goal is No. 23, which ties him with Brian Leetch (1988-89) as the all-time NHL rookie defenseman goal leader, and he's only 18 years old. Schaefer has 59 points, 108 blocks, 209 shots and a plus-16 rating. He already sits in a tie with Jakob Chychrun for 11th overall in scoring from the blue line.

  • Roman Josi D | NSH

Predators' Roman Josi: Late scratch Thursday

Josi (upper body) won't play Thursday versus the Mammoth.

Josi was a participant in warmups, but ultimately he wasn't able to suit up. That's a big blow to the Predators' blue line, as the team will have to play at least one game without its top defenseman. Jordan Oesterle will draw into the lineup in place of Josi.
