  • Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Good to play

    Ekman-Larsson (lower body) is set to play Wednesday versus Washington, per David Alter of The Hockey News.

    Ekman-Larsson missed Saturday's game against Los Angeles because of the injury. He has eight goals and 38 points in 73 appearances in 2025-26. Troy Stecher is projected to be a healthy scratch to accommodate Ekman-Larsson's return.

    Red Wings' Justin Faulk: Deposits two goals in return

    Faulk scored two goals and fired six shots on net in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to Columbus.

    After missing two games due to a lower-body injury, Faulk made an immediate impact in his return to the lineup. With his big night offensively, the 34-year-old blueliner is up to 14 goals, 37 points, 137 shots on net, 66 hits and 126 blocked shots across 74 games this season. Faulk's pair of goals helped him achieve his second multi-point game since being acquired by the Red Wings from St. Louis ahead of the trade deadline. He should remain heavily involved while Detroit makes a playoff push down the stretch, giving him solid fantasy value in most league formats for the rest of the season.

  • Red Wings' Moritz Seider: Puts on defensive clinic

    Seider supplied a power-play assist, recorded eight blocked shots and dished out three hits in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to Columbus.

    Seider excelled on both ends of the ice Tuesday, picking up a secondary helper on Dylan Larkin's power-play goal in the first period while also racking up blocked shots. Seider's eight blocks were his highest single-game total of the season and tied the second-best output of his five-year career. Overall, the 25-year-old blueliner has 46 assists, 55 points, 177 shots on net, 123 hits and 175 blocked shots through 78 games this season. Seider offers unique category coverage, giving him elite fantasy value for the remainder of the regular season.

  • Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Two points, winning tally in SO

    Werenski scored a power-play goal, distributed an assist, fired six shots on net and recorded four blocked shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Red Wings.

    Werenski played the hero in Tuesday's contest during multiple instances. He scored a power-play goal midway through the second period before providing the game-tying assist on Adam Fantilli's goal with just 17 seconds remaining in regulation. Werenski also put away the game-winning tally in the shootout on Columbus' fifth attempt. Overall, the 28-year-old blueliner is up to 22 goals, 58 assists, 240 shots on net, 30 hits and 90 blocked shots across 71 games this season. Tuesday's contest helped him secure 80-plus points in each of the past two seasons. He'll likely be a candidate for this year's Norris Trophy and holds strong fantasy value for the remainder of the regular season.

  • Senators' Carter Yakemchuk: Sent down to AHL

    Yakemchuk (concussion) was returned to AHL Belleville on Wednesday.

    Yakemchuk was in the concussion protocol, but his demotion to the minors suggests that he has the green light to play again. In four NHL contests this season, the 20-year-old blueliner has tallied one goal on five shots, one assist and four blocks while averaging 14:32 of ice time.

  • Maple Leafs' William Villeneuve: Going back to minors

    Villeneuve was sent down to AHL Toronto on Wednesday.

    Villeneuve has yet to make his NHL debut, and he will have to wait at least a little longer. The move to return the 24-year-old blueliner to the minors indicates that Oliver Ekman-Larsson (lower body) will be good to go for Wednesday's matchup with the Capitals.

    Senators' Cameron Crotty: Earns first career point

    Crotty logged an assist in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Lightning.

    Crotty helped out on a Fabian Zetterlund tally in the third period. This was Crotty's first NHL point in his sixth career game over parts of three seasons. This year, he's added two shots on net, three blocked shots and two hits over four appearances with the Senators, filling in due to the team's numerous injuries on the blue line.

  • Canadiens' Adam Engstrom: Logs first assist

    Engstrom notched an assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Panthers.

    The helper was the first point of Engstrom's career. The 22-year-old blueliner has added eight shots on net, eight PIM, a plus-3 rating, five hits and five blocked shots over 12 appearances. Engstrom has been in a depth role since his March 30 call-up, but he has a chance to play as long as Alexandre Carrier (upper body) remains out.

  • Predators' Nick Perbix: Snaps drought in win

    Perbix produced an assist, two shots on goal, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Ducks.

    Perbix's helper ended his 15-game point drought. The 27-year-old defenseman hasn't done much this season, earning a career-low 11 points over 75 appearances so far. He's added 77 shots on net, 88 blocked shots, 31 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-14 rating while seeing top-four minutes in more of a shutdown role.

    Predators' Brady Skjei: Nets shortie in win

    Skjei scored a shorthanded goal, blocked two shots, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Ducks.

    Skjei's goal came late in the second period to stretch the Predators' lead to 3-0. He has just three goals this season, with two of them coming over his last eight outings. Overall, the veteran defenseman is at 25 points, 109 shots on net, 78 blocked shots, 70 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 78 appearances.
