  • Noah Juulsen D | PHI

Flyers' Noah Juulsen: Picks up helper

Juulsen notched an assist in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Jets.

Through four games, Juulsen is averaging just 12:35 of ice time as the Flyers lean heavily on their top-four blueliners instead. The 28-year-old has a helper, four hits and five blocked shots so far. It seems like Juulsen will probably lose his place in the lineup once Rasmus Ristolainen (triceps) returns, though that is not imminent.

  • Stars' Nils Lundkvist : Suffers lower-body injury

Lundkvist suffered a lower-body injury Thursday versus Vancouver, Brien Rea of FanDuel Sports Network Southwest reports.

Lundkvist will be looked at by the medical staff Friday after he played only 11:18 of ice time, and the defenseman may be questionable for Saturday's contest in St. Louis. The 25-year-old got off to a great start with a goal and two assists in his first two games of 2025-26, but he was held off the scoresheet in his last two appearances. Ilya Lyubushkin should enter the lineup if Lundkvist is unable to go.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Dealing with illness

Harley missed Friday's practice session due to an illness but is expected to be available for Saturday's game in St. Louis, Brien Rea of FanDuel Sports Network Southwest reports.

Harley has had a strong start to the 2025-26 season, recording a goal, five assists, 14 blocked shots, six PIM and a hit while averaging 22:59 of ice time. Although he's dealing with an illness, it's encouraging that the Stars expect him to suit up Saturday.

  • Predators' Nick Perbix: Scores again Thursday

Perbix scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Canadiens.

Perbix has scored in back-to-back games, something he's done just twice in his career. The 27-year-old is occupying a top-four role for the Predators and has earned three points, five shots on net, eight blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through five appearances. He should continue to push for at least 20 points, a mark he missed by one last year.

  • Lightning's Steve Santini: Recalled from AHL

Santini was called up from AHL Syracuse on Friday, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.

The Lightning need a seventh defenseman as Max Crozier is out of action with an undisclosed injury. Santini has one assist in two AHL games this season. The 30-year-old defenseman has played 124 regular-season games at the NHL level over parts of nine seasons, including one game with the Lightning in 2024-25.

  • Rangers' Connor Mackey: Sent to minors

Mackey was reassigned to AHL Hartford on Friday.

Mackey was recalled Sunday when Carson Soucy (upper body) was placed on injured reserve. Mackey was a healthy scratch in all three games. The Rangers currently have seven healthy defensemen after recalling Scott Morrow from the minors Wednesday.

  • Lane Hutson D | MON

Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Comes up big in two-point night

Hutson picked up two assists in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Predators.

Both helpers came in the third period, with the second capping a clutch sequence in which Hutson blocked a shot headed towards Montreal's empty net before collecting the puck and zipping a pass the length of the ice to Cole Caufield that resulted in the game-tying tally. It was Hutson's first multi-point performance of the season, but the second-year blueliner has produced four assists over a three-game point streak.

  • Blue Jackets' Ivan Provorov: Pots lone goal in loss

Provorov scored a goal and went minus-2 in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Avalanche.

Provorov is making an early impact on offense this season. He's on a three-game point streak (one goal, two helpers) after going scoreless in the season opener. He's added eight shots on net, seven blocked shots and a plus-2 rating across four appearances. Provorov doesn't hit a lot or rack up PIM, but he can offer a boost in blocks for fantasy managers who need help in that area.

  • Josh Manson D | COL

Avalanche's Josh Manson: Generates helper in win

Manson had an assist and three blocked shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jackets.

The helper was Manson's first point in five outings this season. Offense isn't a big part of the 34-year-old blueliner's game -- he plays more of a physical role and can stand up for teammates. He's racked up 11 hits, 11 PIM, nine blocks, a plus-3 rating and four shots on net while filling a bottom-four role. Manson will see plenty of defensive assignments while Samuel Girard (upper body) is sidelined.

  • Rangers' Braden Schneider: Pockets helper

Schneider notched an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.

Schneider is up to two assists through six outings this season. The 24-year-old has played in a bottom-four role for the Rangers, though he's also seeing time on the second power-play unit. That could change, given the Rangers' scoring struggles and the presence of Scott Morrow on the roster. Schneider has added 10 shots on net, 15 hits, nine blocked shots and two PIM and should continue to be a steady defensive presence even if he is unable to improve upon his offense in his fifth NHL campaign.
