  • Wild's David Jiricek: Sent down to minors

Jiricek was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Thursday.

Jiricek's demotion leaves the Wild with just 22 players on the roster ahead of a four-game road trip that kicks off against the Capitals on Friday. It's possible the team adds a player to the NHL roster before it departs for the road, perhaps Matt Kiersted or Benjamin Gleason.

  • Kale Clague D | WPG

Jets' Kale Clague: Heading back to minors

Clague was loaned to AHL Manitoba on Thursday.

Clague was recalled by the Jets on Sunday, but he didn't appear in any games during his time with the NHL club. He should have more consistent opportunities for playing time with the Moose.

  • Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Ruled out against Bruins

Hanifin (undisclosed) will be sidelined for Thursday's matchup with Boston, Sin Bin Vegas reports.

Hanifin will be out of action for his fourth consecutive game due to his undisclosed injury. With the blueliner on the shelf, Ben Hutton should continue to log minutes with the second pairing. In his lone appearance during the Golden Knights' Opening Night overtime loss to the Kings, Hanifin logged 24:00 of ice time in which he garnered three shots, two hits and a minus-1 rating.

  • Sharks' John Klingberg: Will travel with team

Klingberg (lower body) will travel with the Sharks to Utah ahead of Friday's game against the Mammoth, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.

Klingberg's availability hasn't been determined, but traveling at least keeps the possibility of him playing alive. If he doesn't dress Friday, then Vincent Iorio, who was claimed off waivers from Washington on Thursday, might draw into the lineup.

  • Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: Won't play Thursday

Lindholm (lower body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Golden Knights, Adam Pellerin of NESN reports.

Lindholm was considered questionable for Thursday's matchup, and he'll ultimately be sidelined despite remaining day-to-day. While he'll be unavailable Thursday, he's with the Bruins on their three-game road trip, and his next chance to suit up will be Saturday in Colorado.

  • Haydn Fleury D | WPG

Jets' Haydn Fleury: Slated to return Thursday

Fleury (kneecap) is expected to return Thursday versus Philadelphia.

Fleury missed Monday's 5-2 win over the Islanders due to the injury. He has no points, a minus-1 rating, two shots, seven hits and five blocks in two outings this year. Fleury is projected to serve on the third pairing alongside Luke Schenn on Thursday.

  • Sharks' Vincent Iorio: Claimed by San Jose

Iorio was claimed off waivers by the Sharks on Thursday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.

Iorio was waived by Washington on Wednesday as they tried to sneak him through to allow him to get some playing time in the minors. Iorio was a healthy scratch for all four Capitals games this season. The Sharks are hurting on the blue line, as Timothy Liljegren (upper body) was placed on injured reserve earlier Thursday, while John Klingberg is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

  • Sharks' Timothy Liljegren: Placed on injured reserve

The Sharks placed Liljegren (upper body) on injured reserve Thursday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Liljegren was considered questionable for Friday's game against Utah due to his upper-body injury, and he's now facing a multi-game absence after landing on injured reserve. Over his first three appearances of the regular season, he was held scoreless with 10 blocked shots, three hits, two PIM and a minus-2 rating while averaging 20:14 of ice time. Sam Dickinson and Vincent Desharnais are candidates to draw into the lineup in Liljegren's absence.

  • Jacob Bryson D | WPG

    Sabres' Jacob Bryson: Gathers assist

Bryson logged an assist, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Senators.

Bryson won a depth role in training camp over Zac Jones and has played in all four games this season. Injuries to Mattias Samuelsson (upper body) and Michael Kesselring (lower body) have helped to keep Bryson in the lineup on the third pairing. Bryson has an assist, one shot on net, four blocks and a plus-1 rating and will likely return to the press box when the Sabres get healthier.

  • Kings' Kyle Burroughs: Sporting non-contact jersey

Burroughs (upper body) practiced in a non-contact sweater Thursday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Burroughs isn't expected back until late October due to his upper-body injury, but his return to the ice certainly marks a step in the right direction. Even once given the all-clear, the blueliner will be hard-pressed to get into the lineup and figures to serve primarily as the seventh defenseman for the Kings.
