Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: May miss start of 2025-26
Ristolainen could miss the beginning of the 2025-26 season after undergoing surgery on his triceps, according to Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia on Saturday.
Ristolainen missed the final 16 games of the 2024-25 regular season. He also dealt with the same injury in 2023-24 while making only 31 appearances. Ristolainen had four goals, 19 points, 100 shots on net, 94 blocked shots and 97 hits in 63 outings during the 2024-25 campaign.

Sabres' Owen Power: Needs two months to recover
Power said Saturday that he will need two months to recover from his lower-body injury, but he will not need surgery, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.
Power missed the final three games of the season with the injury. He had career bests in goals, with seven, and assists, with 33, as the third-year defenseman ended up with 40 points in 79 outings. Power should be ready for the start of training camp in September.

Senators' Artem Zub: Set for postseason debut
Zub (rest) will play in Game 1 against Toronto on Sunday, per TSN 1200 Ottawa.
Zub skated on the top pairing during Saturday's practice after missing the final game of the regular season for rest. He will see his first NHL action in the playoffs after recording two goals, 13 points, 57 shots on net, 118 blocked shots and 58 hits in 56 outings during the 2024-25 regular season.

Senators' Thomas Chabot: Ready to rock
Chabot (rest) will return to the lineup versus Toronto on Sunday in Game 1, per TSN 1200 Ottawa.
Chabot was hot down the stretch, tallying three goals and seven assists during a six-game scoring streak before sitting out Thursday against Carolina. He ended the regular season with nine goals and 45 points in 80 outings.

Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Poised to play
Slavin (rest) will play in Game 1 against New Jersey on Sunday, according to Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.
Slavin concluded the 2024-25 regular season with six goals, 27 points, 110 shots on net and 136 blocked shots in 80 appearances. He will log heavy minutes as a top-pairing defender in the playoffs after missing Carolina's final two regular-season outings for some extra rest.

Hurricanes' Jalen Chatfield: Back in lineup
Chatfield (rest) will return to the lineup versus New Jersey on Sunday in Game 1 of the playoffs, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
The 28-year-old defenseman sat out the final two games of the regular season, ending the campaign with seven goals, 11 assists, 114 shots on goal, 64 hits and 64 blocked shots across 79 appearances. Chatfield will be back alongside Dmitry Orlov in Game 1 versus the Devils.

Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Back in action Sunday
McCabe (upper body) will return to the lineup Sunday in Game 1 versus Ottawa, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
After missing the final seven games of the regular season, McCabe practiced alongside Chris Tanev on Saturday. The 31-year-old McCabe had two goals, 21 assists, 74 shots on goal, 118 hits and 135 blocked shots across 66 regular-season appearances in 2024-25.

Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Practices Saturday
Elman-Larsson (upper body) participated in Saturday's practice Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports.
Ekman-Larsson missed the last four games of the regular season but could be ready for the beginning of the playoffs. He isn't sure if he will play in Game 1 versus Ottawa on Sunday, per Mark Masters of TSN. Ekman-Larsson had four goals, 25 assists, 108 hits and 83 blocked shots over 77 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season.

Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Day-to-day
Heiskanen (knee) skated in a non-contact jersey at morning skate Saturday and is now considered day-to-day, according to Pierre LeBrun of TSN.
Coach Peter DeBoer said that Heiskanen's next step will be to partake in a practice with contact. Heiskanen has missed the last 32 games. He will not play Saturday versus Colorado, but he could return to the lineup before the end of the opening round of the playoffs.

Predators' Roman Josi: Was sidelined by concussion
Josi missed the last 25 games of the season due to a concussion, Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean reports Friday.
Josi is feeling good about where he's at in his recovery after finishing 2024-25 on injured reserve. At this point, it doesn't sound like there's too much concern about his status for the start of 2025-26. He's projected to be the Predators' top defenseman next season.
