  • Hurricanes' Jalen Chatfield: Gets Wednesday off

Chatfield will not be in the lineup versus Montreal on Wednesday.

Chatfield joins a lengthy list of players -- seven in total -- who will be rested for the first game of the Hurricanes' back-to-back. Fantasy managers probably shouldn't be surprised to see Chatfield and the others in the lineup versus the Senators on Thursday while another set of players takes the night off. As of now, Chatfield sits just two points shy of reaching the 20-point threshold, a mark he hit for the first time last year.

  • Ian Mitchell D | DET

    Bruins' Ian Mitchell: Waived Wednesday

Mitchell was put on waivers by Boston on Wednesday.

Boston's season is over, so the Bruins want to send Mitchell to AHL Providence, which is where he'll head if he goes unclaimed. Mitchell had an assist in 15 outings with Boston this season. He's also collected four goals and 27 points across 46 appearances with Providence in 2024-25.

  • Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Contributes two assists

Werenski logged two assists, including one on the power play, and five shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Flyers.

Werenski has two goals and four assists during a five-game point streak. The defenseman reached the 80-point mark with Tuesday's effort, becoming just the second blueliner in the league to hit that milestone in 2024-25. He's at 22 goals, 58 assists, 25 power-play points, 295 shots on net, 130 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 80 appearances.

  • Dante Fabbro D | CLB

Blue Jackets' Dante Fabbro: Sets career high in points

Fabbro scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Flyers.

Fabbro's goal gave him 25 points on the year, besting his previous high mark of 24 from the 2021-22 campaign. He's generated all of that offense in 61 contests with the Blue Jackets after opening the season scoreless in six games with the Predators. Fabbro has added 86 shots on net, 67 hits, 138 blocked shots, 40 PIM and a plus-17 rating this season with one more game on the schedule to add to his totals.

  • Bruins' Nikita Zadorov: Earns two helpers in finale

Zadorov notched two assists, four hits, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Devils.

Zadorov had a positive end to the season, picking up five assists and a plus-10 rating over the last six games. He's not the most talented scoring blueliner on the Bruins' roster, but he was forced to play a larger role since Hampus Lindholm (kneecap) and Charlie McAvoy (shoulder) missed large chunks of the campaign. Zadorov concludes 2024-25 with 22 points -- matching his career high -- as well as 105 shots on net, 219 hits, 107 blocked shots, 145 PIM and a plus-25 rating across 81 appearances. That level of production will give him appeal in deeper fantasy formats in 2025-26.

  • Luke Hughes D | NJ

Devils' Luke Hughes: Adds pair of helpers

Hughes notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Bruins.

Hughes has racked up a goal and five helpers over his last seven contests. The 21-year-old may see a reduction in power-play time once Dougie Hamilton (lower body) returns. Hughes has put together a strong campaign with seven goals, 44 points, 121 shots on net, 60 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 71 outings while filling a top-four role most of the time.

  • Devils' Brian Dumoulin: Nets game-winner in overtime

Dumoulin scored the game-winning goal, added two PIM and logged two hits in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Bruins.

This was Dumoulin's first goal as a Devil, and it came at a great time, just 1:30 into overtime, to fend off the Bruins' comeback attempt. Dumoulin has six points in 18 games since he was traded from the Ducks, and he's at 22 points, 69 shots on net, 73 hits, 109 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 79 appearances this season.

  • Simon Nemec D | NJ

Devils' Simon Nemec: Buries goal Tuesday

Nemec scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Bruins.

Nemec has already been in a part-time role recently, and he could be out of the lineup altogether once Dougie Hamilton (lower body) returns. Nemec snapped a seven-game point drought Tuesday with his goal straight off a Marc McLaughlin faceoff win. The 21-year-old Nemec has contributed four points, 25 shots on net, 26 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 26 appearances this season.

  • Bruins' Frederic Brunet: Sent back down

Brunet was returned to AHL Providence on Wednesday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.

Brunet was recalled by Boston on Monday, and he logged 14:23 of ice time Tuesday against the Devils, recording five blocked shots, a hit and a minus-1 rating. However, he'll head back to the AHL now that the Bruins have wrapped up their regular season.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Expected to return against Anaheim

Morrissey (rest) is expected to return to the lineup for Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Ducks.

Morrissey rested during Sunday's loss to the Oilers, but he participated in Wednesday's morning skate and should be back in action against Anaheim. He's made 79 appearances this season, recording 14 goals, 47 assists, 110 blocked shots, 49 hits and 22 PIM while averaging 24:22 of ice time.
