Jake McCabe D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Dealing with upper-body injury
McCabe (upper body) hasn't been ruled out yet for Toronto's regular-season finale versus Detroit on Thursday, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
McCabe will miss his sixth straight game versus Buffalo on Tuesday, and he could be out for the team's regular-season finale if the Maple Leafs err on the side of caution. McCabe has accumulated two goals, 23 points, 74 shots on net, 135 blocked shots and 118 hits through 66 appearances this season.

Jacob Middleton D | MIN
Wild's Jake Middleton: Ready to rock
Middleton (upper body) will play against Anaheim on Tuesday, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Middleton will return from a four-game absence as the Wild seek to secure a playoff berth. He has generated eight goals, 20 points, 95 shots on net, 155 blocked shots and 98 hits across 66 appearances this season. With Middleton and Jared Spurgeon (neck) ready to return, Declan Chisholm and Zeev Buium will be healthy scratches versus the Ducks.

Jared Spurgeon D | MIN
Wild's Jared Spurgeon: Moves past injury
Spurgeon (neck) will play Tuesday versus Anaheim, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Spurgeon, along with Jake Middleton (upper body), will return to the lineup for Minnesota's regular-season finale. Spurgeon missed Saturday's game against the Canucks after getting injured Friday versus the Flames. The right-shot blueliner is expected to skate on the third pairing next to Jon Merrill on Tuesday with a playoff berth hanging in the balance for Minnesota.

John Carlson D | ANA
Capitals' John Carlson: Game-time call Tuesday
Carlson (rest) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's divisional matchup against the Islanders, according to Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post.
Carlson's status for Tuesday's game is up in the air after he was also given a rest day Sunday against the Blue Jackets. Dylan McIlrath will continue to operate in a third-pairing role if Carlson doesn't suit up against the Islanders. Carlson has generated five goals, 51 points and a plus-17 rating across 79 appearances in 2024-25.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Not playing Tuesday
Ekman-Larsson (undisclosed) won't play against Buffalo on Tuesday, per Mark Masters of TSN.
Ekman-Larsson will miss his third straight game, and it's unclear if he will be ready to return for Toronto's regular-season finale against Detroit on Thursday. He has accounted for four goals, 29 points, 118 shots on net, 83 blocked shots and 108 hits across 77 games this campaign.

Jake McCabe D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Still out against Sabres
McCabe (undisclosed) won't be an option versus Buffalo on Tuesday, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
McCabe will be shelved for his sixth straight game due to his lingering undisclosed injury. At this point, the 31-year-old blueliner should be considered questionable not only for Thursday's regular-season finale against Detroit but also for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. With Oliver Ekman-Larsson (undisclosed) also out, Toronto will have to give Simon Benoit and Dakota Mermis plenty of minutes down the stretch.

Michael Kesselring D | BUF
Hockey Club's Michael Kesselring: Grabs two points Monday
Kesselring scored a goal, registered an assist and fired four shots on net in Monday's 7-3 victory over Nashville.
Kesselring tallied the opening goal for Utah just over 12 minutes into the game before assisting Clayton Keller's first marker in the third period. Overall, the 25-year-old Kesselring is up to seven goals, 29 points and 148 shots on net across 81 appearances this season. The blueliner has steadily improved in all categories since his first full season. He should maintain top-four minutes with Utah next season and have solid fantasy value in deeper leagues if his offensive capabilities continue to develop.

Darnell Nurse D | EDM
Oilers' Darnell Nurse: Headed for suspension
Nurse will have a hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Tuesday.
Nurse was hit with a five-minute major and a 10-minute misconduct for his cross-check on LA's Quinton Byfield and now should be expected to receive at least a one-game ban. If the 30-year-old Nurse is suspended for more than one game, it will carry into the postseason, as the Oilers have just one regular-season game left. Unless Troy Stecher (undisclosed) or Jake Walman (undisclosed) is available for Wednesday's clash with San Jose, the team will need to bring a player up from the minors or dress just five defensemen.

Adam Pelech D | NYI
Islanders' Adam Pelech: Good to go Tuesday
Pelech cleared concussion protocol and will be available versus Washington on Tuesday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Pelech will avoid missing any games after being forced to exit Sunday's clash with the Devils after just 9:06 of ice time. The 30-year-old defenseman is not exactly known for his offensive upside, as evidenced by the fact that he has yet to find the back of the net in 59 games this season. Pelech has rushed out 21 helpers, however, getting him back over the 20-point threshold for the third time in the last four years.

Owen Power D | BUF
Sabres' Owen Power: Dealing with serious injury
Power's lower-body injury appears to be serious, according to head coach Lindy Ruff, and surgery hasn't been ruled out yet, Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports Tuesday.
Power will miss the final two games of the Sabres' 2024-25 campaign, having racked up career highs in both goals (seven) and assists (33) in 79 games this year. Unless it's a long-term problem, Power should be ready to play next season and should be capable of once again reaching that 40-point threshold, which set him up well as a top-half fantasy target.
