Mario Ferraro D | SJ
Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Done for season
Ferraro (lower body) will miss San Jose's final four games of the regular season, Max Miller of NHL.com reports Thursday.
Ferraro sustained the injury during Wednesday's 8-7 overtime loss to Minnesota. He'll finish the 2024-25 campaign with five goals, 17 points, 53 PIM, 150 hits and 125 blocks in 78 appearances. The Sharks are now down to five healthy defensemen unless Vincent Desharnais (upper body) or Jan Rutta (lower body) can return for Friday's clash against Edmonton. If neither blueliner is available, then San Jose will need to recall a defenseman from the minors.

Alex Pietrangelo D | LV
Golden Knights' Alex Pietrangelo: Not ready to return
Pietrangelo (illness) will miss Thursday's tilt against Seattle, per Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
It will be Pietrangelo's second straight game on the shelf. He has four goals and 33 points over 70 appearances in 2024-25. Pietrangelo is getting closer to returning, according to Webster, so perhaps the 35-year-old defenseman will be available Saturday versus Nashville.

Joel Edmundson D | LA
Kings' Joel Edmundson: Unavailable Thursday
Edmundson (upper body) isn't expected to play Thursday versus Anaheim, per Russell Morgan of Hockey Royalty.
It will be Edmundson's second straight game on the shelf. He has six goals, 20 points, 97 hits and 107 blocks over 72 appearances with Los Angeles in 2024-25. Jacob Moverare, who is projected to play Thursday, might find himself as a healthy scratch once Edmundson is ready to return.

Drew Doughty D | LA
Kings' Drew Doughty: Still out Thursday
Doughty (ankle) won't suit up against the Ducks on Thursday, Russell Morgan of Hockey Royalty reports.
Doughty will be shelved for the second straight game due to the recurrence of his ankle problem that sidelined him for the early half of the season. Prior to his recent stint on the shelf, the veteran blueliner racked up a goal and four assists over his last four contests.
-
John Marino D | UTA
Hockey Club's John Marino: Not ready to return
Marino (face) will remain sidelined ahead of Thursday's clash with Nashville, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.
Marino has just three more games to get back into the lineup before the end of the regular season -- all of which are on the road. Injuries have limited the defenseman to just 35 games this year, and he's likely to finish the year short of the 20-point threshold for the third time in his six-year NHL career.

Urho Vaakanainen D | NYR
Rangers' Urho Vaakanainen: Contributes two assists
Vaakanainen registered two assists, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 8-5 loss to the Flyers.
Vaakanainen has earned five assists over his last five contests. The 26-year-old has settled in well on the Rangers' third pairing since he was traded from the Ducks in December. For the season, he has a career-high 16 points (two goals, 14 helpers) with 41 shots on net, 48 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 48 outings.

Colin Miller D | WPG
Jets' Colin Miller: Back at practice
Miller (illness) was on the ice at Thursday's game-day skate and projects to be a healthy scratch versus the Stars, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
With Neal Pionk (lower body) looking ready to return to action, Miller once again finds himself as the odd man out on the blue line. Deadline acquisition Luke Schenn seems to have positioned himself ahead of Miller on the depth chart, which could force Miller to play on his offside if he wants to get back into the lineup.
-
Ryan Lindgren D | SEA
Avalanche's Ryan Lindgren: Unavailable Thursday
Lindgren (upper body) will miss Thursday's clash versus Vancouver, per Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now.
Lindgren suffered the injury Tuesday against the Golden Knights. The defenseman has four goals and 18 assists across 72 appearances with Colorado and the Rangers this season. Look for Samuel Girard to return to the lineup after missing four games with an undisclosed injury, replacing Lindgren.

Emil Andrae D | PHI
Flyers' Emil Andrae: Not taking advantage of opportunity
Andrae has failed to record a point over 14 games since he was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on March 7.
Andrae has received another chance to prove himself in the absence of Rasmus Ristolainen (upper body), but it hasn't gone well. In addition to the lack of points, Andrae has a minus-7 rating, 13 hits, 13 blocked shots and 17 shots on net since his recall. He's at six points, 48 shots on net, 47 blocks, 43 hits and a minus-5 rating through 38 outings this season. While he's still just 23 years old, Andrae needs to find an area to excel in if he's going to be part of the Flyers' long-term plans, especially once other prospects are ready to push for his job.

Josh Manson D | COL
Avalanche's Josh Manson: Won't play Thursday
Manson (upper body) will not be in the lineup against Vancouver on Thursday, Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now reports.
Manson looks doubtful to suit up in the final two games of the season, either against Los Angeles or Anaheim on Saturday or Sunday, respectively, though he hasn't been officially ruled out. While the Avs will be getting Samuel Girard (undisclosed) back, they will now be without Ryan Lindgren (upper body) versus Vancouver, which means that Keaton Middleton should be expected to remain in the lineup.
