  • Oilers' Darnell Nurse: Supplies pair of helpers Wednesday

Nurse logged two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Blues.

Jake Walman (undisclosed) was out, leaving Nurse, Evan Bouchard and Brett Kulak to each play over 28 minutes. Nurse did well with his time, helping out on goals by Vasily Podkolzin and Viktor Arvidsson. This was Nurse's fourth two-assist effort over his last 10 games, but he's come up empty in the other six contests in that span. He's at 32 points (five goals, 27 helpers), 179 shots on net, 153 hits, 130 blocked shots, 55 PIM and a plus-13 rating over 73 appearances in a top-four role.

  • Flames' MacKenzie Weegar: Garners assist in overtime loss

Weegar notched an assist, three shots on goal and three blocked shots in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Weegar set up Mikael Backlund's opening tally at 14:18 of the second period. Weegar has four helpers over his last six contests as he continues to be consistent from the Flames' first defensive pairing. The veteran blueliner is up to seven goals, 38 assists, 175 shots on net, 181 blocked shots, 217 hits and a plus-15 rating across 77 appearances.

  • Joel Hanley D | CGY

Flames' Joel Hanley: Picks up pair of assists

Hanley notched two assists in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Hanley has three points over his last three contests. Oddly, he hasn't blocked a shot in that span, despite his primarily defensive role. He's up to a career-high nine points and also reached the 50-game mark for the first time with his appearance Wednesday. He's added 39 shots on net, 80 blocked shots, 54 hits, 21 PIM and a plus-10 rating while seeing top-four minutes with the Flames this season.

  • Ducks' Oliver Kylington: Chips in with helper

Kylington logged an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames.

Kylington's helper was his first point with the Ducks since he was traded from the Islanders just before the deadline. The 27-year-old blueliner saw just 8:44 of ice time Wednesday, and he'll be at risk of losing his place once Jacob Trouba (lower body) returns. Kylington is at five points, six shots on net, 18 blocked shots, eight PIM and a minus-2 rating over 19 appearances between the Ducks and the Avalanche in 2024-25, and he's unlikely to see anything more than third-pairing usage.

  • Ducks' Olen Zellweger: Generates assist

Zellweger logged an assist and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames.

Zellweger set up Frank Vatrano's goal at 16:03 of the third period, the first of a pair of goals eight seconds apart for the Ducks. The 21-year-old Zellweger has two goals and four assists over his last nine contests. The defenseman has produced 20 points, 125 shots on net, 72 blocked shots, 37 hits and a plus-2 rating over 60 appearances in his first full NHL season.

  • Henry Thrun D | TOR

    Sharks' Henry Thrun: Slides assist

Thrun managed an assist and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 8-7 overtime loss to the Wild.

This was Thrun's first helper in four games since he returned from an upper-body injury that cost him 13 of 14 games between March 1 and April 1. The defenseman is up to 11 points in 56 appearances, matching his scoring output from 51 games a year ago. He's added 49 shots on net, 59 blocked shots, 39 hits and a minus-20 rating in 2024-25.

  • Sharks' Jack Thompson: Posts two helpers

Thompson notched two assists and four blocked shots in Wednesday's 8-7 overtime loss to the Wild.

Thompson has four points, seven shots on net and 11 blocked shots over five outings in April. The defenseman has been able to carve out steady playing time due to multiple injury absences on the Sharks' blue line. For the season, he's up to 10 points, 40 shots on net, 47 blocks and a minus-7 rating across 29 appearances. Thompson regularly sees power-play time when he's in the lineup, giving him some appeal as a streaming option in deep fantasy formats.

  • Sharks' Timothy Liljegren: Collects pair of assists

Liljegren notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 8-7 overtime loss to the Wild.

Liljegren has three helpers over his last two games and five assists in his last eight outings. The 25-year-old defenseman could be set for more ice time if Mario Ferraro (undisclosed) ends up missing games after exiting Wednesday's contest early. Liljegren has 17 points, 98 shots on net, 103 blocked shots, 57 hits, 34 PIM and a minus-91 rating over 64 contests between the Sharks and the Maple Leafs in 2024-25.

  • Wild's Jared Spurgeon: Produces assist Wednesday

Spurgeon logged an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 8-7 overtime win over the Sharks.

Spurgeon has four helpers over his last seven outings. The defenseman's assist Wednesday was on Kirill Kaprizov's game-winning goal 1:01 into overtime. Spurgeon should benefit from the Wild being at nearly full strength for the first time since January, as the team's offense is likely to improve. For the season, the 35-year-old blueliner is at 32 points, 105 shots on net, 114 blocked shots, 52 hits and a plus-7 rating over 64 appearances in a top-four role.

  • Brock Faber D | MIN

Wild's Brock Faber: Nets goal Wednesday

Faber scored a goal in Wednesday's 8-7 overtime win over the Sharks.

Faber's tally gave the Wild a 2-1 lead late in the first period. The 22-year-old has three points over four contests in April, a vast improvement on his March, when he had just one goal on 28 shots and a minus-6 rating over 15 appearances. The defenseman has a career-high nine goals this season, but he's added a mere 18 assists with 111 shots on net, 108 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 75 outings. That's well off his 47-point pace from all 82 games a year ago.
