Sam Malinski D | COL
Avalanche's Sam Malinski: Puts home late goal
Malinski scored a goal and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Blues.
Malinski ended a six-game point drought when he scored at 19:51 of the third period. The 26-year-old defenseman hasn't been consistent on offense this season, but he's getting an extended run in the lineup while Josh Manson (upper body) is out of action. Malinski has four goals, 13 points, 103 shots on net, 103 blocked shots, 56 hits and a plus-11 rating over 72 appearances in his first full NHL campaign.

Cam Fowler D | STL
Blues' Cam Fowler: Distributes trio of assists
Fowler logged three assists and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Avalanche.
Fowler helped out on both of Zachary Bolduc's power-play goals as well as an empty-netter by Robert Thomas that stood as the game-winner. The 33-year-old Fowler has gotten on the scoresheet in five of the last six contests, racking up two goals and seven assists in that span. The defenseman is now at 38 points (seven on the power play), 79 shots on net, 86 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating over 64 appearances this season. He missed the 40-point mark by one in 2023-24, but he's within striking distance of getting there for the third time in four years and has the momentum to do it.

Brandon Carlo D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Brandon Carlo: Logs helper in win
Carlo notched an assist, two hits and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Blue Jackets.
This was Carlo's second helper in 14 contests since he was traded to Toronto from Boston. The 28-year-old defenseman has played in a top-four role as a shutdown blueliner, though he's exceeded 20 minutes of ice time in just three games as a Maple Leaf, including Saturday's outing. He's up to 11 points, 72 shots on net, 85 hits, 146 blocked shots, 35 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 77 appearances this season.

Morgan Rielly D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Supplies two helpers in win
Rielly logged two assists and went plus-3 in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Blue Jackets.
Rielly earned his first multi-point effort since his stunning four-point game in Boston on Feb. 25. Over the 17 contests in between, he was limited to five helpers. He set up both of William Nylander's tallies -- one on a rebound and one with a pass -- in this contest. Rielly is now at 37 points, 117 shots on net, 112 blocked shots and a minus-13 rating through 76 games overall. He's still at risk of falling short of the 40-point mark for the first time in a full-length season since 2016-17.

John Marino D | UTA
Hockey Club's John Marino: Exits late Saturday
Marino did not finish Saturday's game versus the Jets after taking a puck to the face, Belle Fraser of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Head coach Andre Tourigny had no update on Marino's status, but that's not uncommon for injuries that occur late in the third period. Marino can be considered day-to-day until further information is available. Utah's next game is Tuesday at home versus the Kraken, and if Marino can't play, then Robert Bortuzzo or Nick DeSimone would enter the lineup.

Jake Sanderson D | OTT
Senators' Jake Sanderson: Goal, assist in home win
Sanderson produced an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-0 win over Florida.
Sanderson netted his 11th goal of the campaign before helping out on a Drake Batherson power-play tally in the first period. After being held to one point over the last four games of March, the 22-year-old Sanderson has found the back of the net in three straight contests and has added a helper since the calendar flipped to April. For the season, the left-shot blueliner has accounted for 42 helpers, 53 points, 172 shots on net and a minus-14 rating while averaging 24:25 of ice time over 75 appearances. Sanderson will have an opportunity to add to his career-best totals against the Blue Jackets on Sunday.

Cam Crotty D | OTT
Wild's Cameron Crotty: Called up Saturday
Crotty was called up from AHL Iowa on Saturday.
After Jake Middleton (upper body) was hurt Friday versus the Islanders, Crotty will give Minnesota a depth option for the back end. Don't expect Crotty to play, as it'll likely be Declan Chisholm drawing into the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Stars.
-
Jacob Trouba D | ANA
Ducks' Jacob Trouba: Won't play Saturday
Trouba (lower body) will sit out Saturday's matchup against Vancouver.
Trouba played in two straight games after missing last Sunday's 3-2 loss to Toronto because of a lower-body injury. He has one goal, 13 assists, 106 shots on net, 201 blocked shots and 156 hits in 73 appearances between the Ducks and Rangers this season. Pavel Mintyukov will replace Trouba in Saturday's lineup.
-
Vincent Desharnais D | SJ
Sharks' Vincent Desharnais: Not playing Saturday
Desharnais (upper body) won't play against Seattle on Saturday, per Max Miller of NHL.com.
Desharnais will miss his fifth straight game, and it's unclear when he will return to the lineup. He has contributed three assists, 87 hits, 83 blocked shots and 45 PIM in 51 contests with Vancouver, Pittsburgh and San Jose this season.
