  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Moves past illness

Gostisbehere (illness) will be in the lineup Sunday in Anaheim, according to Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.

Gostisbehere sat out Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Kings and was a game-time decision heading into Sunday's contest. The left-shot blueliner will resume his usual duties in a bottom-four role in addition to quarterbacking the No. 1 power-play unit. Scott Morrow will be a healthy scratch due to Gostisbehere's return.

  • Avalanche's Ryan Lindgren: Finds twine Saturday

Lindgren scored a goal, had two shots on net and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win against Montreal.

Lindgren's tally was just over ten minutes into the first period and gave Colorado an early 2-0 lead. It was his second goal with the Avalanche and his fourth of the season, which ties the career high that he set in the 2021-22 campaign. Overall, Lindgren has 22 points, 53 shots on goal and 118 blocks in 64 appearances this season. Since he was acquired from the Rangers via trade March 1, Lindgren has seen just under 20 minutes of ice time per game as a part of Colorado's second defensive pairing. He sees a good chunk of opportunities at even strength but lacks the ceiling that other defenders have offensively in fantasy.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Considered game-time decision

Gostisbehere (illness) is considered a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup against the Ducks, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports.

While head coach Rod Brind'Amour said that he's hopeful Gostisbehere will be able to suit up against Anaheim, the Hurricanes will wait to determine the defenseman's status until after he goes through warmups. Gostisbehere was unavailable Saturday against the Kings but has been productive recently, racking up three assists, nine blocked shots, a hit and a plus-4 rating over his last two appearances.

  • Matt Roy D | WAS

Capitals' Matt Roy: Grabs apple Saturday

Roy logged an assist in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Panthers.

Roy has a helper in back-to-back contests, and he's earned three assists with a plus-8 rating over his last six outings. While he doesn't play premium minutes for offense, he's been a fixture in the Capitals' lineup as a shutdown defender. For the season, the 30-year-old blueliner has 23 points, 70 shots on net, 101 hits, 101 blocked shots and a plus-31 rating through 60 appearances.

  • Capitals' Rasmus Sandin: Sends assist in Saturday's win

Sandin logged an assist, three shots on goal, two hits and a plus-4 rating in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Panthers.

Sandin has had a strong March as a complementary scorer, earning six assists and a plus-6 rating, as well as 11 hits and 16 blocked shots, over 11 appearances. The 25-year-old defenseman continues to play alongside John Carlson on the top pairing, though the Capitals' blue line is one of the strongest in the league from top to bottom. Sandin is up to 27 points, 71 shots on net, 82 hits, 101 blocked shots and a plus-24 rating across 70 appearances.

  • Capitals' Martin Fehervary: Dishes two apples in win

Fehervary distributed two assists in Saturday's 6-3 win against Florida.

Fehervary posted a strong second period with two secondary helpers across a six-minute span in Saturday's contest. With his two tallies, the 25-year-old defenseman is up to 18 assists, 22 points, 139 blocks and 121 hits in 70 games this season. Fehervary has provided excellent category coverage throughout the season, and his recent presence on Washington's scoresheets makes him a well-rounded blueliner in fantasy. He has seven points and his last 10 games and is hot at the right time with the fantasy playoffs upon us. Fehervary should be available in most leagues and is a worthy addition to rosters in all formats.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Capitals' John Carlson: Nets goal Saturday

Carlson scored a goal and blocked five shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Panthers.

Carlson netted the second goal of the game for the Capitals off feeds from Connor McMichael and Pierre-Luc Dubois. The 35-year-old blueliner is up to five goals, 46 points, 144 shots on net and 118 blocks in 70 contests this season. Carlson ranks 13th among defensemen in points and is just six points away from matching his point total from a year ago. His durability and consistent playmaking presence for the Capitals make him a strong blueliner to deploy in the fantasy playoffs.

  • Cam Crotty D | OTT

Wild's Cameron Crotty: Summoned from AHL

Crotty was recalled from AHL Iowa on Sunday under emergency conditions.

Minnesota also brought up forward Liam Ohgren from the minors on an emergency basis, indicating the team has some lineup question marks ahead of Monday's matchup against Dallas. Crotty has eight assists and 47 PIM in 56 AHL appearances this season.

  • Seth Jones D | FLA

Panthers' Seth Jones: Nets goal Saturday

Jones tallied a goal, fired two shots on net and dished out two hits in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Washington.

After the Capitals took an early 2-1 lead, Jones responded with his first goal for the Panthers less than two minutes later. The 30-year-old blueliner is up to eight goals, 30 points and 102 shots on net in 51 appearances this season. Since Aaron Ekblad's 20-game suspension began, Jones has been averaging 26:42 TOI, which is roughly four and a half minutes more than he saw in his first three contests with the team. He has also been quarterbacking Florida's top power-play unit and has two power-play assists in his past six games. Jones' prominent usage should help him provide plenty of value for the fantasy playoffs.

  • Blue Jackets' Erik Gudbranson: Expects to return Monday

Gudbranson (shoulder) is expected to return Monday against the Islanders, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Gudbranson has missed Columbus' last 66 contests after undergoing shoulder surgery in mid-October. The veteran blueliner appeared in 78 games last season, logging six goals and 26 points.
