  • Niko Mikkola D | FLA

Panthers' Niko Mikkola: Won't return Monday

Mikkola (upper body) won't play Monday against the Rangers, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Mikkola will miss a third straight game after suffering an injury Dec. 23 against Tampa Bay. Adam Boqvist will remain in the lineup in a bottom-pairing role with Mikkola unavailable.

  • Kraken's Jamie Oleksiak: Picks up assist Saturday

Oleksiak notched an assist, two blocked shots and two PIM in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Canucks.

Oleksiak has just two assists over his last 19 contests. The 32-year-old defenseman has served in a shutdown role in 2024-25, and it's led to even less offense than usual. He has seven points, 32 shots on net, 81 blocked shots, 30 hits and a minus-3 rating through 37 outings overall. Oleksiak is useful for blocks but is unlikely to add consistent scoring.

  • Carson Soucy D | NYI

Canucks' Carson Soucy: Two helpers Saturday

Soucy picked up two assists in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kraken.

Both helpers came in the second period as the Canucks built a 4-1 lead they would let slip away late. It was Soucy's first multi-point performance of the season, and through 35 appearances, he's delivered a goal and six points with 58 blocked shots, 53 hits, 41 shots on net, 24 PIM and a minus-8 rating.

  • Vince Dunn D | SEA

Kraken's Vince Dunn: Three points including OT winner

Dunn scored two goals, one the overtime winner, and added an assist in Saturday's 5-4 victory over the Canucks.

All three points came after the Kraken had fallen behind 4-1 early in the third period. This was Dunn's first multi-point performance since Dec. 5, and through 12 appearances on the month, he's collected an impressive six goals and 11 points.

  • Blackhawks' Kevin Korchinski: Returned to minors

Korchinski was assigned to AHL Rockford on Sunday.

Chicago brought up Wyatt Kaiser in a corresponding move. Korchinski hasn't earned a point in nine NHL outings this season while contributing seven shots on goal and seven blocked shots. He has two goals and nine assists in 21 AHL appearances this campaign.

  • Wyatt Kaiser D | CHI

    Blackhawks' Wyatt Kaiser: Recalled Sunday

Kaiser was recalled from AHL Rockford on Sunday.

Kaiser will rejoin Chicago after he was sent down before the holiday break. The 22-year-old defenseman has played in 28 NHL games this season, logging one assist and a minus-4 rating.

  • Devils' Dougie Hamilton: Secures helper in loss

Hamilton had an assist and two hits in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes.

Hamilton's offense is heating up again -- he has an assist in three of the last four games. The defenseman had gone seven contests without a point prior to this improved stretch. He's up to 24 points (12 on the power play), 112 shots on net, 51 blocked shots, 41 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 39 appearances in a top-four role this season.

  • Sean Walker D | CAR

Hurricanes' Sean Walker: Dishes pair of helpers

Walker logged two assists, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Devils.

Walker had been limited to two helpers over his prior 12 contests. He earned his first multi-point effort Saturday by assisting on goals from Dmitry Orlov and Jack Roslovic. Walker has been a fixture in a bottom-four role this season, earning eight points, 57 shots on net, 38 blocked shots, 35 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 36 appearances. His offense is too low for consideration in many fantasy formats.

  • Hurricanes' Dmitry Orlov: Lights lamp in win

Orlov scored a goal on five shots, added two PIM and went plus-3 in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Devils.

Orlov's tally late in the second period tied the game at 1-1, setting the stage for the Hurricanes' productive final frame. The defenseman has three points over his last seven contests while playing on the second pairing. He's up to four goals, 13 helpers, a plus-17 rating, 54 shots on net, 48 hits and 21 blocked shots through 36 appearances this season. Orlov didn't receive any power-play time even with Shayne Gostisbehere (upper body) out Saturday -- those duties went to Jaccob Slavin and Sean Walker.

  • Simon Benoit D | TOR

Maple Leafs' Simon Benoit: Chips in with helper

Benoit logged an assist and five hits in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Capitals.

Benoit ended his 13-game point slump with the helper. The 26-year-old defenseman has contributed four assists, 23 shots on net, 28 PIM, 54 blocked shots and 95 hits through 35 contests this season. Benoit likely won't ever be a significant scorer, but he can add ample physicality from the Maple Leafs' third pairing.
