  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Nabs ninth win

Gustavsson made 22 saves in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Blues.

The Wild never trailed in the game, and Gustavsson had little chance on the two pucks that did get past him. The 26-year-old netminder has shaken off his rough 2023-24 campaign and is back in elite form, posting a 9-3-2 record over 14 appearances with a 2.07 GAA and .926 save percentage.

  • Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Falters against Rangers

Silovs stopped 29 of 33 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers.

The Canucks scored 34 seconds into the game, but they lost the lead less than two minutes later and never pulled ahead again. Silovs was unable to build momentum after an excellent performance in a win over the Blackhawks on Saturday. The 23-year-old netminder is down to a 1-3-1 record with a 3.91 GAA and an .857 save percentage over six appearances. The Canucks are set to start a six-game road trip Saturday in Ottawa. They have one back-to-back set during their travels with a visit to Boston next Tuesday followed by a stop in Pittsburgh next Wednesday, so Silovs' next start is likely to be in one of those two contests.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Allows three goals in win

Shesterkin allowed three goals on 24 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

Shesterkin gave up two goals in the first period and another in the second, but he shut the door in the third to get his fourth win in his last six outings. It wasn't a particularly strong start -- Shesterkin has given up three or more goals in four of his last seven appearances. He's now 8-4-1 with a 2.80 GAA and a .911 save percentage through 13 starts this season. Shesterkin's uneven performances could allow for a slightly larger workload for Jonathan Quick in the near term.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Needs to shake loss off fast

Ullmark made 26 saves in a 5-2 loss to the Oilers on Tuesday.

It wasn't his best game, to say the least. The Oilers picked Ullmark and the Sens apart Tuesday night. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard all had three-point games. Overall, Ullmark is 4-5-1 with a 2.99 GAA and an .884 save percentage. That's a far cry from his excellent stats from his Boston days, but the Bruins team structure really helped there. Shake this off, and get him back in your lineup as you'd normally use him.

  • Islanders' Semyon Varlamov: Strong in shootout loss

Varlamov surrendered one goal on 31 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Flames.

Varlamov couldn't win a third straight start, but he has given up no more than two goals in his last four outings. The 36-year-old was bested by Rasmus Andersson on a power-play tally in the third period, and the Flames also converted two of their three shootout attempts. Varlamov is down to a 3-3-2 record with a 2.60 GAA and a .903 save percentage over eight starts. He continues to back up Ilya Sorokin, but Varlamov has gotten a start roughly once a week -- that's enough action to be worth a look in fantasy. The Islanders' five-game road trip ends Thursday in a matchup with the Red Wings.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Excellent in shootout win

Wolf stopped 28 of 29 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Islanders.

Wolf gave up a goal to Pierre Engvall in the second period, but that was it. In the shootout, Wolf turned aside both of the Islanders' attempts to secure his fourth win in his last five outings. In that span, he's allowed just eight goals on 149 shots, a .946 save percentage. He hasn't faced many stout offenses yet, but the 23-year-old is getting some confidence with a 7-2-1 record, a 2.36 GAA and a .925 save percentage over his first 10 starts of the campaign. Head coach Ryan Huska has been rewarding wins with more work, so it could be Wolf in goal again Thursday versus the Rangers. However, neither Wolf nor Dan Vladar has started more than two games in a row yet this season.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Only two goals allowed in win

Skinner made 27 saves in a 5-2 win over Ottawa on Tuesday.

His teammates gave him a 3-1 lead in the first, and he never looked back. Skinner has had a rough start to 2024-25 and sits with a 6-5-2 record, 3.18 GAA and .881 save percentage. But he's gone 3-0-1 in his last four starts, and the Oilers are starting to surge a bit. Still, Skinner generally allows too many goals a game -- this was his third game in 13 starts this season with two or fewer goals allowed. He did turn last year around in a big way, so maybe he can do the same for 2024-25.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Loses lead in third period

Soderblom stopped 21 of 24 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Ducks.

The Blackhawks took a 2-1 lead early in the second period, but Soderblom allowed goals to Alex Killorn and Leo Carlsson in the third. This was just the second time in six outings Soderblom has allowed more than two goals, but he has a 1-4-1 record to show for it. He's also maintained a 2.36 GAA and a .926 save percentage, but he'll need help from the team in front of him to collect wins. Petr Mrazek (personal) is away from the Blackhawks, and if he's not back in time for Thursday's game versus the Panthers, Soderblom would likely draw that extremely challenging start.

  • John Gibson G | ANA

Ducks' John Gibson: Earns third win

Gibson stopped 18 of 20 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks weren't able to get much going on offense outside of a pair of Jason Dickinson goals. Gibson faced his lightest workload of the season to earn his third straight win, and he's allowed a total of eight goals on 85 shots so far. The 31-year-old netminder has alternated started with Lukas Dostal since Gibson was activated from injured reserve, and that pattern seems likely to continue. It could benefit both netminders by helping them avoid being overworked. The Ducks' next two games are at home -- they play the Sabres on Friday and the Kraken on Monday.

  • Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Struggles continue

Jarry allowed three goals in a 3-2 overtime loss to Calgary on Tuesday.

Jarry has allowed at least three goals in each of his five starts this season and is 1-2-1 with a 4.72 goals-against average and an .863 save percentage overall. He was especially bad on the OT winner where he slid far out of his crease, allowing Brayden Point to simply walk around the net and stuff the puck behind him. Jarry recently returned from a stint in the AHL, but he continues to struggle. Bench him until he can get his game together.
