  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Starting in New York

Kochetkov will guard the road cage Sunday against the Rangers, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.

Kochetkov has dropped two of his last three starts despite posting a strong .933 save percentage in that span. Overall, the 25-year-old netminder is 13-6-0 with a .900 save percentage and 2.50 GAA this year.

  • Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: Sharp in Saturday's win

Korpisalo turned aside 19 shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.

While he wasn't particularly busy, Korpisalo came up big when he needed to, and Buffalo's only goal came on a second-period power play. The veteran netminder has just one regulation loss since the beginning of November, going 6-1-1 over his last nine outings with a stellar 1.97 GAA and .920 save percentage, but as yet the Bruins don't seem inclined to give him a bigger workload at Jeremy Swayman's expense.

  • James Reimer G | BUF

Sabres' James Reimer: Bounced by Boston

Reimer stopped 16 of 18 shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Bruins, with Boston's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

There wasn't much Reimer could do on either goal -- Charlie Coyle got a breakaway coming out of the penalty box in the first period, and the netminder still stopped Coyle's first couple of shots before the puck got poked into the net in a scrum. Morgan Geekie's game-winner in the third then came on a blistering one-timer on a Boston power play. Reimer has seen action in three straight games, allowing three goals on 39 shots (.923 save percentage), and with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen in a tailspin -- 0-7-2 over his last nine outings with a 4.10 GAA and .864 save percentage -- his backup could be in line for a bigger workload.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Reassigned to Iowa

Wallstedt was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Sunday.

Wallstedt struggled in his start Saturday against the Jets, allowing five goals on 24 shots in a 5-0 defeat. With Filip Gustavsson (lower body) expected to be back Monday, Wallstedt will return to the AHL where he's gone 5-6-1 with an .874 save percentage this season.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Blanks Pens on Saturday

Markstrom made 12 saves in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Penguins.

The 34-year-old netminder was rarely tested and didn't face more than five shots in any period, while New Jersey peppered Tristan Jarry with 14 in the third period alone. The shutout was Markstrom's second of the season, and he hasn't taken a regulation loss since Nov. 27, going 7-0-1 over his last eight starts with a dazzling 1.49 GAA and .928 save percentage.

  • Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Gets no help Saturday

Jarry turned aside 25 of 27 shots in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Devils, with New Jersey's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

The veteran netminder kept the Devils off the scoreboard for the entire first period and most of the second, but Stefan Noesen finally got a puck past Jarry just before the second intermission, and Pittsburgh's skaters never solved Jacob Markstrom. Jarry hasn't been stellar since reclaiming the top job in the Penguins' crease, but he's been a little more reliable than the team's other options. Over his last 10 starts, Jarry has gone 6-3-1 with a 2.99 GAA and .897 save percentage.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Hangs on for win No. 10

Wolf made 24 saves in Saturday's 6-4 win over Chicago.

The Flames seemed to have the game well in hand after two periods with a 5-1 lead, but Chicago pressed hard in the final frame and Wolf was able to weather the storm. The 23-year-old netminder has given up at least four goals in five of his last six starts, going 2-3-1 over that stretch with a 3.67 GAA and .882 save percentage, but Dan Vladar hasn't been any better over that stretch and Wolf doesn't seem to be in danger of losing his spot in a timeshare for Calgary.

  • Petr Mrazek G | CHI

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Burned by Flames

Mrazek stopped 24 of 29 shots in Saturday's 6-4 loss to Calgary, with the Flames' final goal getting scored into an empty net.

In his first start back from a groin injury that cost him a couple weeks of action, Mrazek looked a bit rusty as Chicago fell behind 5-1 through two periods. The veteran netminder did keep Calgary off the scoreboard as his team tried to mount a comeback, however. Mrazek went the entire month of November without giving up more than three goals in an outing, but his luck evaporated once the calendar flipped to December -- over four appearances this month, he's surrendered 14 goals on 95 shots for an .853 save percentage.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Tending twine Sunday

Shesterkin will protect the home net against Carolina on Sunday, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports.

Shesterkin is coming off a 41-save performance in Friday's 3-1 win over Dallas. He has posted a record of 11-12-1 with one shutout, a 2.95 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 24 appearances this season. Carolina ranks fourth in the league with 3.53 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Leaky in loss

Grubauer gave up five goals on 33 shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Golden Knights. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.

Grubauer lost for the fourth time in his last six outings, and he's given up at least four goals in four of those games. Vegas got to him early with three goals in the first period before pouring on some more in the final frame. The 33-year-old netminder is down to 3-10-0 with a 3.63 GAA and an .877 save percentage over 13 contests. The Kraken are struggling to support their goalies with offense, but Grubauer hasn't done his part to keep things close lately. Joey Daccord is likely to start Sunday in Colorado.
