  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Pulled in second period

Ullmark was pulled in the second period of Saturday's 7-5 loss to Toronto after allowing four goals on 14 shots.

He was replaced by Leevi Merilainen. The Leafs came out hot to start the game and tallied a power-play goal at the 40-second mark. Then they pounded in two goals in a four-minute span early in the second. Ullmark does not get saddled with the loss. He'll shake this off.

  • Carter Hart G | LV

Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Falls in shootout

Hart allowed five goals on 38 shots in Saturday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Avalanche.

Hart's five goals allowed were a new season high, and it's the third time in eight outings he's given up at least four. The 27-year-old made his third start in a row, though the holiday break likely played a role in the Golden Knights breaking their pattern of giving Akira Schmid every third start. Hart is now 4-1-3 with a 2.76 GAA and an .898 save percentage. He has the advantage for starts currently, but a slump would likely open the door for Schmid to claim a larger role. The Golden Knights have another tough matchup ahead when they host the Wild on Monday.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Escapes with shootout win

Wedgewood stopped 20 of 25 shots in Saturday's 6-5 shootout win over the Golden Knights.

Wedgewood had his worst game of the year. Even with less than his best, he still came away with a fourth straight win. He's up to 17-1-4 with a 2.13 GAA and a .919 save percentage over 24 starts this season. Prior to the holiday break, Wedgewood and Mackenzie Blackwood alternated starts. However, that rotation reset out of the break with Wedgewood making consecutive appearances for the first time since Nov. 16-20. Blackwood could get the home start Monday versus the Kings, while Wedgewood would tentatively get the nod at home versus the Blues on Wednesday if the pattern resumes.

  • Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Surrenders five goals in loss

Demko allowed five goals on 36 shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Sharks. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.

Demko has allowed nine goals on 74 shots over his last two outings, taking losses in both. The 30-year-old netminder looked fairly sharp just after returning from a lower-body injury, but his performance has started to slip again. He's now at 8-7-0 with a 2.63 GAA and a .909 save percentage over 16 appearances. Demko is likely to see a majority of the starts over Kevin Lankinen as long as the former can stay healthy. The Canucks' next game is in Seattle on Monday in the first half of a back-to-back.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Gets win despite sloppy team play

Woll made 26 saves in a 7-5 win over Ottawa on Saturday.

Woll came up big several times for a team that got way too loose in the third period and allowed three goals to let the Sens back in the game. Woll is 3-1-0 in four starts since his return from injury, but his save percentage in that span is .892 (13 goals allowed; 130 shots).

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Gets back in win column

Askarov stopped 24 of 27 shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.

Askarov entered the holiday break with consecutive losses. While he allowed at least three goals for the eighth outing in a row, the 23-year-old was able to get in the win column with a burst of offense from his teammates. He improved to 13-10-1 with a 3.35 GAA and an .898 save percentage over 24 starts this season. Askarov's letting in too many tallies to be trusted in shallow fantasy formats, but he's still getting enough playing time to have widespread value. The Sharks' next game is Monday versus the Ducks.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Takes first loss of season

Ingram allowed three goals on 32 shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Flames.

Ingram wasn't able to replicate his 18-save effort from Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Flames in Edmonton. The 28-year-old has allowed seven goals on 82 shots over his three starts so far, which have all come in a row. Calvin Pickard has lost the trust of head coach Kris Knoblauch, but the Oilers may opt to ride the hot hand while navigating Tristan Jarry's (lower body) absence. If Ingram can put in decent performances, he could carve out a majority of the playing time in the short term.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: First regulation loss since Dec. 2

Bobrovsky made 21 saves Saturday in a 4-2 loss to Tampa Bay. He allowed three goals.

It was Bobrovsky's first regulation loss since Dec. 2 (6-1-1). His save percentage in December has been .898. That number looks bad, but the NHL average this season is .899. Bob will deliver solid netminding behind a strong squad, but his .888 save percentage overall this season is the worst of his storied career.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Bounces back Saturday

Wolf stopped 29 of 31 shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Oilers.

Wolf was torched for five goals on 39 shots before the holiday break, but the Oilers didn't find the same level of success in this Battle of Alberta rematch. The 24-year-old goalie is up to three wins in his last five games, and he's at 12-14-2 with a 2.96 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 29 outings this season. The Flames are at home for the next four games, the next being Monday's matchup versus the Bruins.

  • Kings' Anton Forsberg: Cruises to win Saturday

Forsberg stopped 24 of 25 shots in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Ducks.

Forsberg had lost three of his previous four outings going into Saturday's start, but he managed to bounce back and got six goals of support from his teammates. Forsberg has only two wins in his last six appearances, but he's likely to remain the Kings' starting netminder in the absence of Darcy Kuemper (upper body).
