Andrei Vasilevskiy G | TB
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Buckles down in victory
Vasilevskiy made 18 saves Saturday in a 6-4 win over Carolina.
He allowed three goals by the 12:27 mark of the first period, and then he buckled down and watched as the Hurricanes' three-goal lead evaporated. Vasilevskiy is 9-3-0 in his last 12 starts and 1-1-0 since returning to the lineup from injury. He should see plenty of action now that he's healthy again.

Akira Schmid G | LV
Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Struggles against Flames
Schmid allowed five goals on 25 shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Flames. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.
Schmid's in a playing time battle with Carter Hart, and this was not a performance the former could afford to have against a non-playoff team. This was one of Schmid's worst outings of the year, and he's posted a save percentage south of .900 in five of his last six games. He's at an 11-3-4 record with a 2.48 GAA and an .896 save percentage over 18 appearances this season. Hart is slated to start Sunday in Edmonton, and it looks like Schmid is settling into a backup role where he's fortunate to get in every three or four games.

Devin Cooley G | CGY
Flames' Devin Cooley: Picks up win over Vegas
Cooley stopped 34 of 37 shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Golden Knights.
Cooley caught some breaks due to Vegas' injury concerns, but he still faced a heavy workload. He was able to pick up his first win since Nov. 28 versus the Panthers with this effort, though he's allowed at least three goals in four of his last five outings. For the season, the 28-year-old is up to 4-4-2 with a 2.40 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 13 appearances. Dustin Wolf is likely to get the nod for Tuesday's game in Edmonton, the first of a home-and-home Battle of Alberta set wrapped around the holiday break.

Yaroslav Askarov G | SJ
Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Loses to Kraken
Askarov stopped 28 of 31 shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Kraken. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Askarov wasn't able to get his winning streak to three games. A pair of Seattle goals 2:32 apart in the third period did Askarov in for this contest, and he's now allowed at least three goals in six straight outings. He's at a 12-9-1 record with a 3.22 GAA and an .902 save percentage. The Sharks have taken a step forward this year, but there will still be some bumps along the way, though Askarov has shown plenty of potential. The Sharks visit the Golden Knights on Tuesday.

Joey Daccord G | SEA
Kraken's Joey Daccord: Earns win over Sharks
Daccord stopped 34 of 36 shots in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.
Daccord had another strong performance, and he was rewarded with the win as the Kraken's offense sparked to life in the third period. He's allowed nine goals over his last four outings, but he's just 2-2-0 in that span. For the season, the 29-year-old has a 9-9-4 record with a 2.86 GAA and a .901 save percentage over 22 starts. The Kraken have a back-to-back up next, facing the Ducks on Monday and the Kings on Tuesday, so expect Daccord and Philipp Grubauer to split those starts.

Joseph Woll G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Continues to impress
Woll made 29 saves in a 5-3 loss to Nashville on Saturday.
He allowed three goals, two of which were the result of poor team play, not poor goalie play. Woll is the top dog in Toronto, and he's 1-1-0 with a .912 save percentage in two starts since his return from injury. Woll is undeniably the best Leaf on the ice in every contest he's in. He needs more support from his teammates, though.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Downed by Detroit
Thompson stopped 36 of 40 shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Red Wings, with Detroit's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
The Capitals got outshot 41-26 on the afternoon and didn't give Thompson much help as they fell into a 4-0 hole midway through the second period. The 28-year-old netminder has needed to be perfect of late to get into the win column -- he's gone 2-2-2 over his last six starts with two shutouts and a .934 save percentage.
-
Juuse Saros G | NSH
Predators' Juuse Saros: Impressive run continues
Saros made 19 saves in a 5-3 win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday.
Saros allowed a goal on the Leafs' first shot of the game, but he settled in and kept the opposing stars, other than John Tavares, off the scoresheet. Even that goal was a fluke -- a shot went off J.T.'s skate and Roman Josi's, too. Saros had no chance at all. He has been outstanding of late, ringing up a 7-2-0 record and a .912 save percentage in his last nine starts.
-
John Gibson G | DET
Red Wings' John Gibson: Win streak at seven
Gibson made 24 saves in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Capitals.
Detroit handed the veteran netminder a 4-0 lead before Gibson first let a puck get past him midway through the second period. The former Duck has caught fire for the Red Wings, going 7-0-0 to begin the month of December with two shutouts and a .934 save percentage.

Jeremy Swayman G | BOS
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Loses in shootout
Swayman stopped 18 of 22 shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Canucks.
Swayman didn't have his best performance, taking his third loss in four games. He's 1-2-1 with 14 goals allowed on 99 shots in that span. Swayman did his best to extend the game, but Liam Ohgren's tally in the seventh round of the shootout decided the result. For the season, Swayman is now 14-9-1 with a 2.80 GAA and a .906 save percentage over 24 starts. Joonas Korpisalo is likely to get the nod for Sunday's home game versus the Senators.
