  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Falls short versus Wild

Grubauer allowed two goals on 27 shots in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Wild. The last two goals were empty-netters.

Grubauer did his best to keep the game close, but the Kraken didn't give him enough support. This was his first regulation loss of the season, dropping the 34-year-old to a 4-1-1 record through eight appearances. He's added a steady 2.54 GAA and .900 save percentage in the backup role behind Joey Daccord. With Daccord struggling lately, Grubauer may be called upon more frequently, though the Kraken have no back-to-backs coming up in the immediate future. They host the Kings on Wednesday in their next game.

  • Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Tracking toward return

Demko (lower body) could be ready to play against the Sabres on Thursday after head coach Adam Foote told reporters, "Well, [there's a] large percentage that Demko will be going Thursday, probably," per Canucks Army.

In order to play, Demko will need to be activated off injured reserve first, which will likely mean Nikita Tolopilo gets sent back to the minors. In 10 outings this year, the 30-year-old Demko is 5-4-0 with a 2.80 GAA and a .903 save percentage. Once given the all-clear, Demko should see the bulk of the workload for the Canucks going forward.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Posts win over Kraken

Gustavsson stopped 23 of 24 shots in Monday's 4-1 win over the Kraken.

Gustavsson limited the damage to a Jordan Eberle power-play goal in the second period. This was Gustavsson's first win in his last three outings, but he's given up just six goals on 87 shots in that span. For the season, he's at an 8-8-3 record with a 2.67 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 19 outings. If the Wild continue splitting the crease evenly, Jesper Wallstedt would face the Stars on Thursday, while Gustavsson would get the Senators on Saturday, with both games at home.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Facing Sabres

Skinner will patrol the home crease against Buffalo on Tuesday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.

Skinner is coming off a 19-save performance in Saturday's 6-2 win over Winnipeg. He has a 10-8-3 record with two shutouts, a 2.86 GAA and an .889 save percentage in 21 appearances this season. Buffalo is tied for 18th in the league with 2.97 goals per game this year.

  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Looking to rebound Tuesday

Greaves will protect the road net Tuesday against Carolina, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.

Greaves turned in a solid performance Sunday against Washington, stopping 36 of 37 shots, but he didn't receive any offensive support en route to a 2-0 loss. He hasn't earned a win since Nov. 20 in Toronto, as he's 0-1-3 with a 2.70 GAA and a .907 save percentage over his last four outings. The Hurricanes are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Sharks on Sunday and have scored exactly one goal in three of their last four games, a span in which they are 2-2-0.

  • Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: Drawing start in Philadelphia

Nedeljkovic is set to face the Flyers on the road Tuesday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Nedeljkovic picked up his first win since Nov. 7 on Sunday, allowing just one goal on 29 shots in a 4-1 victory over the Hurricanes. The 29-year-old is 4-5-2 with an .899 save percentage and a 3.01 GAA through 13 appearances in 2025-26. The Flyers have generated 2.81 goals per game this season, which ranks 24th in the NHL.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Moves past illness

Montembeault (illness) will suit up for Tuesday's home matchup versus Tampa Bay.

Montembeault won't get the start Tuesday, as Jakub Dobes will be in net. The 29-year-old Montembeault missed just one game due to his illness, but he didn't play in the two previous contests after a shaky outing last Tuesday versus Ottawa -- he gave up five goals on 29 shots in that loss. The Quebec native is 5-6-1 with a 3.61 GAA and an .861 save percentage over 14 appearances this season.

  • Eric Comrie G | WPG

Jets' Eric Comrie: Scheduled to start Tuesday

Comrie is slated to tend the home twine Tuesday against the Stars, according to Danielle Bain of TSN.

Comrie continues to see the bulk of the starting duties while Connor Hellebuyck (knee) is on the shelf, but the former has struggled in the No. 1 role. Comrie has played in nine of the team's last 10 games, going 3-5-1 with a 3.25 GAA and an .893 save percentage during that time. It won't get any easier for the 30-year-old against a 20-5-5 Dallas squad that has won three straight contests and sits fourth in the league with 3.40 goals per game this season.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Between pipes versus Bolts

Dobes will tend the twine at home against the Lightning on Tuesday, Patrick Friolet of RDS reports.

Dobes will be making his ninth appearance in the Habs' last 11 contests, having gone 4-3-1 with an .880 save percentage. With Sam Montembeault still recovering from an illness, it seems Dobes will continue to feature as the No. 1 option in Montreal. Once both netminders are healthy, they will likely move into a split share of the workload.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Exits ice first Tuesday

Silovs was the first goalie to leave the ice Tuesday, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports, indicating he'll be between the pipes at home versus Anaheim.

Silovs has played in just one of the Penguins' last seven outings, which shouldn't come as a surprise considering he is mired in a four-game losing streak. In those contests, the 24-year-old netminder is sporting a record of 0-2-2 and a 3.85 GAA. With an upcoming back-to-back versus San Jose and Utah on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, Silovs should see some extra work ahead of the Christmas break.
