Jacob Markstrom G | NJ
Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Beaten three times Friday
Markstrom stopped 22 of 25 shots in Friday's 3-0 loss to the Golden Knights.
Markstrom has lost his last three starts while allowing at least three goals each time. This time, the 35-year-old veteran was beaten once in each period, although to be fair, two of those goals came on the power-play. Markstrom has gone 5-4-1 in 10 appearances since the start of November, with a 2.98 GAA and an .892 save percentage over that span.

Akira Schmid G | LV
Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Posts 24-save shutout
Schmid posted a 24-save shutout in Friday's 3-0 win over the Devils.
Schmid bounced back from a negative stretch in a big way, posting a shutout against the team that drafted him in 2018. Making his first start since Nov. 28 after sitting out two games, Schmid earned his second shutout of the season. The previous one came in a 1-0 win over the Red Wings on Nov. 4.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Strong showing in shootout loss
Thompson stopped 35 of 38 shots in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Thompson put in a good effort to salvage a standings point despite the Ducks' strong attack. His winning streak was snapped at four games, and this was the first time he's given up more than two goals since Nov. 22 versus the Lightning. Despite the loss, Thompson is at a 12-6-2 record with a 2.06 GAA and a .919 save percentage through 20 starts. Thompson will handle the bulk of the goaltending duties as long as Charlie Lindgren (upper body) is out. The Capitals' next game is Sunday at home versus the Blue Jackets.

Ville Husso G | ANA
Ducks' Ville Husso: Picks up shootout win
Husso stopped 18 of 21 shots in Friday's 4-3 shootout win over the Capitals.
Husso made his third straight start and bounced back with a win after getting pulled in Wednesday's loss to the Mammoth. The 30-year-old netminder is 3-2-0 on the year, but he's given up at least three goals in three of his four starts. He's a stopgap option in goal for the Ducks while Lukas Dostal (upper body) and Petr Mrazek (lower body) are on injured reserve. The Ducks host the Blackhawks on Sunday before embarking on a road trip that begins Tuesday in Pittsburgh.

Kevin Lankinen G | VAN
Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Poor performance in loss
Lankinen allowed three goals on 17 shots in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Mammoth. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Lankinen is now 0-4-1 with 17 goals allowed during his five-game losing streak. The Mammoth were able to pot a goal in each period against the 30-year-old netminder. For the season, Lankinen has slipped to 4-9-3 with a 3.45 GAA and an .881 save percentage across 16 appearances. While he's getting plenty of playing time, his performance is too risky in fantasy. Nikita Tolopilo is likely to draw a tough start Saturday at home versus the Wild.

Karel Vejmelka G | UTA
Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Stays sharp in win
Vejmelka stopped 31 of 32 shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canucks.
Vejmelka has allowed just one goal on 59 shots over his last two outings. He lost his bid for a second straight shutout when Arshdeep Bains scored at 4:17 of the third period. Vejmelka is now 12-7-2 with a 2.64 GAA and an .894 save percentage through 22 starts this season. Vitek Vanecek is likely to get the nod for Saturday's road game versus the Flames, but Vejmelka should be between the pipes Monday at home against the Kings.

Yaroslav Askarov G | SJ
Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Falls to Stars
Askarov stopped 20 of 23 shots in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Stars. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Askarov gave up one power-play goal in the first period and two even-strength tallies in the third to take his second straight loss. He's also allowed at least three goals in four of his last five outings. The 23-year-old goalie has come back down after riding a hot streak for much of November. He's now at a 10-8-1 record with a 3.14 GAA and a .901 save percentage over 19 starts. The Sharks' road trip continues with a tough game in Raleigh versus the Hurricanes on Sunday.
-
Jake Oettinger G | DAL
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Wins fifth straight start
Oettinger stopped 16 of 17 shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Sharks.
Oettinger has won five straight starts, giving him 13 victories on the year. That's tied for the most in the NHL alongside the Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood. Through 19 appearances, Oettinger is 13-4-2 with a 2.52 GAA and a .908 save percentage, and he's given up just nine goals on 138 shots during his winning streak. The Stars host the Penguins on Sunday for their next game.

Jack Ivankovic G | NSH
Predators' Jack Ivankovic: Shuts out in-state rivals
Ivankovic posted a 23-save shutout in the University of Michigan's 3-0 win over Michigan State University on Friday.
A performance like that, in a battle between two highly-ranked programs, is a massive feather in the cap for Ivankovic. He's already earned three shutouts this season while going 16-3-0 for the No. 1 ranked Wolverines. He's also posted a 1.90 GAA and a .926 save percentage over 19 appearances. The Predators look to have a quality prospect on their hands, especially if he continues to improve from what he's done as a freshman so far.

Karel Vejmelka G | UTA
Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Tending twine in Vancouver
Vejmelka will start in goal on the road in Friday's game versus the Canucks.
Vejmelka will get the nod after posting a 27-save shutout over the high-scoring Ducks on Wednesday. This is the first half of a back-to-back, which makes it likely Vitek Vanecek will get the nod Saturday versus the Flames. Vejmelka faces a Canucks team that has scored 13 goals over the last six games, winning just one of them.
