Jakub Dobes G | MON
Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Overcomes shaky middle frame
Dobes stopped 31 of 34 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Mammoth.
Utah scored three goals in a span of 4:09 during the second period, taking a 3-2 lead. Dobes settled down after that stretch, slamming the door while the Canadiens rallied to take the lead, and ultimately the win as well. He's won two starts in a row to shake off a four-game skid. For the season, the 24-year-old is up to 8-2-2 with a 2.89 GAA and an .897 save percentage through 12 appearances. Dobes' performance won't win any awards, but he's been far steadier than Sam Montembeault, which could lead to a timeshare in the Montreal crease. Both goalies will likely draw a tough matchup to close out this road trip, as the Canadiens visit the Golden Knights on Friday and the Avalanche on Saturday.

Cam Talbot G | DET
Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Starting to waver
Talbot allowed five goals on 28 shots in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Predators. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.
Talbot has lost consecutive contests, and he's allowed 12 goals over his last three outings. He's started five of the past six games, so he may be wearing down after sharing the crease with John Gibson for much of the first month of the season. Talbot has a 9-4-0 record with a 2.97 GAA and an .887 save percentage over 14 appearances (12 starts). Both Talbot and Gibson should get a start in the next two games, as the Red Wings host the Lightning on Friday before visiting the Bruins on Saturday.

Justus Annunen G | NSH
Predators' Justus Annunen: Gives up three goals in win
Annunen allowed three goals on 31 shots in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Red Wings.
It wasn't the cleanest performance, but Annunen got a rare showing of goal support from the Predators' offense to come away with this win. Two of Detroit's three tallies came on the power play. The victory was Annunen's first of the season, moving him to 1-3-1 with a 3.89 GAA and an .850 save percentage in seven appearances. Look for Annunen and Juuse Saros to split the next two games, as the Predators visit the Blackhawks on Friday and host the Jets on Saturday.

Gabriel Carriere G | SJ
Sharks' Gabriel Carriere: Posts first shutout of season
Carriere posted a 22-save shutout in AHL San Jose's 3-0 win over Calgary on Wednesday.
Carriere has won his last three outings, but this was his first shutout of 2025-26 and the third of his AHL career. He's at a 2.48 GAA and a .900 save percentage over 11 appearances, as well as a 5-3-2 record. Carriere looks to be fourth on the Sharks' goaltending depth chart, with Jakub Skarek more likely to get a call-up should the NHL club need an emergency goalie.

Devin Cooley G | CGY
Flames' Devin Cooley: Works in relief Wednesday
Cooley allowed two goals on 19 shots in relief of Dustin Wolf in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Lightning.
Wolf lasted just 5:52 before Cooley came into the game. The Lightning's attack slowed down a bit, and Cooley put in a decent effort even though the game was virtually out of reach by the time he entered. He's still at a 2-2-1 record with a 1.86 GAA and a .930 save percentage over eight appearances (five starts). Cooley won't maintain those ratios all year, but he's done enough to push for more starts, which should help the Flames keep from burning out Wolf in what's shaping up as a lost season. The Flames' road trip continues Friday versus the Panthers.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Blitzed early in loss
Wolf stopped one of four shots in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Lightning.
The Lightning chased Wolf after just 5:52 of the first period, his shortest NHL start. While he's shown some progress at times, this continues to be an inconsistent sophomore campaign for the 24-year-old goalie, who has little margin for error while backstopping a low-scoring team. He's now 6-12-2 with a 3.17 GAA and an .890 save percentage over a league-high 20 starts. Wolf will likely get a mulligan and could start against the Panthers on Friday since he didn't see much work in Wednesday's outing. However, if he continues to struggle, Devin Cooley could push for more playing time.

Andrei Vasilevskiy G | TB
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Stays on heater Wednesday
Vasilevskiy stopped 32 of 33 shots in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Flames.
The Lightning led 4-0 just over halfway through the first period, which was more than enough help for Vasilevskiy to work with. The 31-year-old has allowed one goal or fewer in each of the five games during his active winning streak. He's at a 10-5-2 record with a 2.28 GAA and a .918 save percentage this season. He's in vintage form and should make his next start either Friday versus the Red Wings or Saturday versus the Rangers, with both of those games being on the road.

Jacob Markstrom G | NJ
Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Hangs on for OT win
Markstrom stopped 21 of 23 shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win against the Blues.
After a tough 2-1 first period highlighted by a power-play goal from Robert Thomas, Markstrom flipped the script from that point, as he allowed no goals over the remainder of regulation and overtime. With the win, the 35-year-old netminder now has a 7-3-1 record with an .874 save percentage and a 3.56 GAA through 11 appearances this season. While his numbers remain inflated from three performances with five goals or more, Markstrom has begun to hit his stride in the win column with three victories in his last four games. If he continues to help lead New Jersey to frequent wins, his GAA of 3.74 should gradually start to improve. Markstrom is a trustworthy fantasy option.
-
Jordan Binnington G | STL
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Falls in OT battle
Binnington made 26 saves on 29 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime loss to New Jersey.
After a scoreless third period, Binnington allowed a goal to New Jersey blueliner Simon Nemec to highlight the losing effort. With the loss, Binnington now has a 5-6-4 record with a 3.11 GAA and an .881 save percentage through 14 appearances this season. The 32-year-old netminder has put fantasy managers through a roller coaster of emotions this season. While he has a sub-.500 winning percentage in goal, three of his wins have come in his last seven outings, which has displayed a small improvement from the start of the season. Both he and backup netminder Joel Hofer are best left on waivers in standard fantasy formats, with Binnington remaining the better spot start of the two in a pinch.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Set to start Wednesday
Wolf will guard the road goal Wednesday versus the Lightning, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Wolf has gone 2-2-1 with 12 goals allowed over his last five games, which is a modest improvement on how he's played most of the year. The Lightning are also on the rise, having won four games in a row with 15 goals scored over that span.
