  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Slated to tend twine Monday

Wolf is expected to defend the cage for Monday's road matchup with Ottawa, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Wolf is riding a four-game winning streak and hasn't lost in regulation in his last six outings. During his run of victories, the 23-year-old netminder is sporting a 0.98 GAA, .966 save percentage and one shutout. As long as Wolf continues this run of form, Dan Vladar will have to settle for playing second fiddle in Calgary.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: In concussion protocol

Kochetkov is out indefinitely after entering the NHL's concussion protocol, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports Monday.

With Frederik Andersen (knee) already on the shelf, Kochetkov's concussion will force the Hurricanes to continue utilizing Spencer Martin between the pipes. With a back-to-back upcoming, Carolina may even have to deploy Yaniv Perets versus the Panthers either Friday or Saturday. The 25-year-Kochetkov was putting together a strong campaign prior to getting hurt, posting a 10-2-0 record, 2.43 GAA and .904 save percentage over 13 appearances.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Defending crease Wednesday

Sorokin will patrol the home crease Wednesday against Boston, according to Andrew Gross of Newsday.

During his last outing, Sorokin made 24 saves in a 3-1 win over the Blues on Saturday. He has a 5-5-3 record with a 2.52 GAA and a .917 save percentage over 13 appearances this campaign. Boston sits 32nd in the league with 2.32 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Islanders' Semyon Varlamov: Draws start Monday

Varlamov will serve as the starting goalie for Monday's home game against the Red Wings, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Varlamov has made just three starts this month, but he's been effective when called upon, logging a 2-0-1 record, 1.63 GAA and .943 save percentage. The Red Wings have averaged just 2.45 goals per game -- the sixth-worst mark in the league -- to begin the season, so Varlamov has a solid opportunity to keep his momentum going Monday.

  • Senators' Anton Forsberg: Looking to douse Flames

Forsberg will be between the pipes at home versus Calgary on Monday, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Forsberg has appeared in just one of the Senators' last seven contests, allowing three goals on 27 shots in a loss to Carolina on Nov. 16. Still, with Linus Ullmark riding a four-game losing streak, it could open the door for Forsberg to get an extra start or two -- especially when Ottawa heads into a back-to-back versus the Kings and Ducks on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

  • Panthers' Spencer Knight: Set to start Monday

Knight was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post reports, indicating he will protect the home net Monday against Washington.

Knight has lost his last two outings, stopping 37 of 42 shots. He has a 3-3-0 record with a 2.73 GAA and an .897 save percentage through seven appearances this season. Washington is tied for first in the league with 4.05 goals per game in 2024-25, but the absence of Alex Ovechkin (fibula) waters down the team's offensive firepower.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Starting against Nashville

Markstrom is expected to patrol the home crease against the Predators on Monday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

Markstrom didn't start in Saturday's win over Washington, but he should tend the twine for the third time in the Devils' last four games Monday. Over 15 appearances this season, the 34-year-old has logged a 9-5-1 record, 2.54 GAA and .907 save percentage.

  • Ivan Fedotov G | PHI

Flyers' Ivan Fedotov: Tending twine Monday

Fedotov will patrol the home crease against Vegas on Monday, per Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports.

Despite a 33-save effort, Fedotov's three-game winning streak ended Wednesday in a 4-1 loss to Carolina. He has a 3-4-0 record with a 3.69 GAA and an .875 save percentage through seven appearances this season. Vegas sits fourth in the league with 3.86 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Can't sweep weekend back-to-back

Vejmelka stopped 32 of 35 shots in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Vejmelka turned in another solid performance, but a three-goal second period from Toronto handed him his fourth loss in his last seven outings (2-4-0). The 28-year-old has given up just 13 goals on 210 shots in that span, good for a .925 save percentage. Vejmelka will fill the No. 1 role while Connor Ingram (upper body) is on injured reserve, and the fact that Vejmelka played both games of a back-to-back speaks volumes as to how little confidence Utah has in Jaxson Stauber. Consider Vejmelka likely to start again Tuesday in Montreal. He has a 2-6-0 record despite a 2.30 GAA and a .926 save percentage through 10 outings this season.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Wins fourth straight start

Woll stopped 23 of 25 shots in Sunday's 3-2 win over Utah.

Woll has won four straight starts, allowing just six goals on 104 shots in that span. Utah had the first and last goals Sunday, but Toronto scored three times in the middle frame. The win improved Woll's overall numbers to 5-2-0 with a 2.00 GAA and a .921 save percentage through seven starts. The Maple Leafs are getting excellent play from both Woll and Anthony Stolarz this season, so this should ultimately shake out as a fairly even timeshare. A tough pair of road games are next on the schedule, as the Maple Leafs visit the Panthers on Wednesday and the Lightning on Saturday.
