Juuse Saros G | NSH
Predators' Juuse Saros: Surrenders three goals in loss
Saros stopped 18 of 21 shots in Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Penguins.
All three goals that beat Saros were in the early stages of the first period, as Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby tallied the third goal just outside the 10-minute mark. With the loss, Saros falls to a 6-7-3 record with a 2.97 GAA and an .892 save percentage through 16 appearances this season. His numbers so far this year have been running parallel to his output through 58 games a season ago. Despite inconsistently finding the win column, Saros is far and away the No. 1 option for the Predators and will likely see a bulk of the workload moving forward. His next opportunity to defend the crease is in a tough matchup Saturday against Colorado.

Sergei Murashov G | PIT
Penguins' Sergei Murashov: Posts shutout in Sweden
Murashov saved all 21 shots on goal in Sunday's 4-0 shutout win over the Predators.
Murashov followed up his solid debut with a stellar performance that included five saves on the penalty kill to help lift the Penguins over the Predators. With the shutout, the 21-year-old netminder has a 1-1-0 record with just three goals allowed on 48 shots across the first two appearances of his career. He has filled in admirably so far while Tristan Jarry (lower body) has been sidelined. Regardless of whether Murashov is sent back to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton once Jarry returns, he should grab a few more starts at the NHL level to showcase his skills. For now, Murashov is a solid spot start with the right matchup in fantasy.

Jonas Johansson G | TB
Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Beaten five times
Johansson stopped 12 of 17 shots in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Canucks. The sixth goal was an empty-netter with 3:03 left in the third period.
Johansson won three of his first four starts this season, but the 30-year-old netminder has allowed six goals on 24 shots faced over his last two appearances, including a relief appearance against the Rangers on Nov. 12. The 30-year-old remains firmly entrenched as the backup behind Andrei Vasilevskiy, so his fantasy upside won't be very high and will be strictly matchup-based. However, if Johansson continues to play like he did Sunday, he's better suited to remain on waivers across virtually all formats.

Kevin Lankinen G | VAN
Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Gives up two goals in win
Lankinen stopped 28 of 30 shots in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Lightning.
Lankinen has started the Canucks' last six games, and although his 2-2-2 record isn't encouraging, he might be trending in the right direction after allowing two or fewer goals in two of his last three outings. The 30-year-old Finnish netminder has the No. 1 role locked up while Thatcher Demko (lower body) remains sidelined. Lankinen has gone 4-5-2 with a 3.44 GAA and an .890 save percentage across 11 outings this season.

Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Allows three goals in loss
Sorokin stopped 24 of 27 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Avalanche. Colorado's third goal was an empty-netter.
The Avalanche scored twice in a span of 1:19 during the second period, and that was enough to stick Sorokin with the loss. In the final minute, Martin Necas scored an empty-netter and Brock Nelson tipped in a goal to put the game out of the Islanders' reach. Sorokin's three-game winning streak came to an end, but he has allowed a modest 12 goals over his last six outings to stabilize his season. The 30-year-old netminder is now 6-5-2 with a 2.91 GAA and an .898 save percentage through 13 starts. The Islanders' road trip takes them into another tough matchup when they visit Dallas on Tuesday.

Scott Wedgewood G | COL
Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Excellent in sixth straight win
Wedgewood allowed one goal on 29 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
The game was closer than the final score would indicate, as the Avalanche scored twice in the final minute. Wedgewood gave up a goal to Emil Heineman at 2:05 of the first period but shut the door after that to bank his sixth straight win. This was his third game in a row allowing just one tally. Wedgewood is up to 11-1-2 on the year with a 2.17 GAA and a .917 save percentage through 15 starts. He'll continue to function as the starter until his performance dips, though Mackenzie Blackwood will get starts in more than just back-to-back sets. The Avalanche have three full days off before hosting the Rangers on Thursday.

Jonathan Quick G | NYR
Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Heroic effort falls short
Quick stopped 40 of 42 shots in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Red Wings.
Quick kept the Rangers in the game as long as he could, but Lucas Raymond's goal with 3:47 left in the third period was the decisive tally. While it was Quick's second loss of the year, the fault isn't on him. He's been excellent while going 3-2-0, adding a 1.42 GAA and a .951 save percentage through five starts. He won't sustain those numbers all year, but Quick is among the top backups in the league, despite his limited playing time behind Igor Shesterkin. With no back-to-back sets over the next week, it's unclear when Quick might get his next opportunity between the pipes, though Shesterkin has not started more than four consecutive games yet.

Cam Talbot G | DET
Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Earns low-scoring win
Talbot stopped 18 of 19 shots in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.
The Red Wings dominated the pace of this game, but it was tied for the vast majority of the time, requiring Talbot to be sharp until Lucas Raymond broke a 1-1 tie with 3:47 left in the third period. Talbot has won four of his last five games while allowing just 11 goals in that span. The 38-year-old netminder is up to 7-2-0 with a 2.71 GAA and an .896 save percentage across 10 appearances. He's been alternating starts with John Gibson, and if that pattern holds, Gibson would face the Kraken on Tuesday before Talbot opposes the Islanders on Thursday, with both games in Detroit.

Carl Lindbom G | LV
Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: Loses in overtime
Lindbom allowed three goals on 27 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Wild.
Lindbom has come up winless in five outings, going 0-3-2 so far. The Golden Knights broke their goalie rotation this weekend, but there's not much to read into there due to the back-to-back road set, though Akira Schmid won his game. Lindbom has added a 3.18 GAA and an .873 save percentage so far, which are about the expected results from a third-string goalie forced into a larger role. The Golden Knights' next game is Tuesday at home versus the Rangers, though that's likely to be a start for Schmid.

Filip Gustavsson G | MIN
Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Picks up overtime win
Gustavsson stopped 23 of 25 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Golden Knights.
Both goals Gustavsson gave up came on Vegas power plays. He had lost his last two outings (0-1-1) while allowing a total of six goals on 45 shots in that span. For the season, Gustavsson has a 5-7-2 record with a 2.99 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 14 starts. He's getting a little bit of pressure from Jesper Wallstedt, who has posted a shutout in each of his last two starts, which could force the Wild's crease into more of a timeshare situation. The Wild have a tough matchup ahead as they host the Hurricanes on Wednesday.
