  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Picks up overtime win

Gustavsson stopped 23 of 25 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Golden Knights.

Both goals Gustavsson gave up came on Vegas power plays. He had lost his last two outings (0-1-1) while allowing a total of six goals on 45 shots in that span. For the season, Gustavsson has a 5-7-2 record with a 2.99 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 14 starts. He's getting a little bit of pressure from Jesper Wallstedt, who has posted a shutout in each of his last two starts, which could force the Wild's crease into more of a timeshare situation. The Wild have a tough matchup ahead as they host the Hurricanes on Wednesday.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Drawing start in Denver

Sorokin will occupy the crease Sunday in Colorado, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Sorokin has won three straight games and four of his last five, posting a 4-0-1 record, 1.75 GAA and .939 save percentage during that run of success. While the Russian netminder has turned things around after a shaky start to the season, he'll face an incredibly tough challenge against the league's top team Sunday. The Avalanche are 6-0-2 on home ice and have scored 74 goals through 18 games, which is seven more goals than any other team in the NHL.

  • Capitals' Clay Stevenson: Secures overtime win in AHL

Stevenson stopped 36 of 37 shots in AHL Hershey's 2-1 overtime win over Lehigh Valley on Sunday.

Stevenson is 5-3-0 with a 2.49 GAA and a .909 save percentage over eight games for the Bears in 2025-26, playing better than he did last season but below his 2023-24 level. Stevenson is considered among the most NHL-ready goalies that aren't at that level already, so he'll be the next man up if Logan Thompson or Charlie Lindgren gets hurt.

  • Senators' Lucas Beckman: Logs shutout Sunday

Beckman posted a 34-save shutout in QMJHL Baie-Comeau's 1-0 win over Rouyn-Noranda on Sunday.

This was Beckman's second shutout of the year and the ninth of his junior career. He's earned half of his wins this season via shutout, as he's gone 4-12-3 in 21 appearances with a 2.99 GAA and a .912 save percentage. Baie-Comeau has had a rough season, but the Senators prospect is doing his best to keep their games close despite the poor results.

  • Cam Talbot G | DET

Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Set to start Sunday

Talbot will patrol the road blue paint against the Rangers on Sunday, according to Dan Rosen of NHL.com.

Talbot will get the nod in the second half of a back-to-back after John Gibson was in net for Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to Buffalo. The 38-year-old Talbot owns a 6-7-0 record, 3.04 GAA and .896 save over 13 career regular-season appearances against the Rangers. New York has won three consecutive games, scoring 14 goals during that span.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Facing Detroit

Quick will be between the home pipes Sunday versus the Red Wings, per Colin Stephenson of Newsday.

Quick has been tremendous with a minimal workload in 2025-26 -- he is 3-1-0 with one shutout and has turned aside 96 of 101 shots across four starts. The two-time Stanley Cup champion's last start also came against Detroit, as he stopped 32 of 33 shots in a 4-1 win earlier this month. The Red Wings are coming off a 5-4 overtime loss to the Sabres on Saturday and are tied for 18th in the NHL with 3.00 goals per game.

  • Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: Tending twine against Minnesota

Lindbom will serve as the starting goaltender during Sunday's road game against the Wild, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports.

Lindbom has split time in net with Akira Schmid while Adin Hill (lower body) has been sidelined. However, Lindbom hasn't yet picked up his first win this year, going 0-3-1 with a 3.29 GAA and .869 save percentage. He'll draw the start in the second half of a back-to-back set Sunday and will have a relatively favorable matchup against the Wild, who are scoring just 2.74 goals per game this year, which is the seventh-worst mark in the league.

  • Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Starting Sunday

Johansson is getting the start Sunday against the Canucks, Lightning reporter Gabby Shirley reports.

Andrei Vasilevskiy started Saturday, so it will be Johansson getting the second end of the back-to-back Sunday against the Canucks. The 30-year-old has a 3-1-0 record, 2.83 GAA and .913 save percentage in five appearances this season. The Canucks come in having won just one of their last four contests, but offense hasn't been the issue; Vancouver has scored 14 goals over that timeframe.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Starting sixth straight

Lankinen will get the start Sunday against the Lightning, Dan Murphy of Sportsnet reports.

Since the injury to Thatcher Demko (lower body), Lankinen has been heavily leaned on by the Canucks. The 30-year-old Lankinen will play in his sixth straight contest despite coming out on the winning end just once in the previous five appearances. He carries a 3-5-2 record, 3.58 GAA and .886 save percentage into the contest against the Lightning, who have scored at least three goals in four consecutive games.

  • Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Deemed week-to-week

Demko (lower body) is week-to-week, according to Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 on Sunday.

Demko remains on injured reserve and will miss his second straight game against Tampa Bay on Sunday after getting hurt in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to Winnipeg. He has posted a 5-4-0 record with a 2.80 GAA and a .903 save percentage in 10 appearances this season. Kevin Lankinen will likely see most of the starts during Demko's absence, while Jiri Patera will occupy the backup role.
