  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Earns win Thursday

Hellebuyck stopped 21 of 24 shots in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Hellebuyck has won his last two starts despite allowing three goals each time, as the offense has provided him enough support. Hellebuyck remains a strong choice in all formats, but his recent outings haven't been the best -- at least for his lofty standards. He's posted a 3.00 GAA with a .901 save percentage while going 2-1-0 over his last three starts.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Beaten six times vs. Winnipeg

Knight stopped 26 of 32 shots in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Jets.

Knight gave up a season-worst six goals in this loss. Although one bad outing won't define what he's done this season, it's worth noting that Knight might be trending in the wrong direction after posting a save percentage below .900 in his last two starts.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Activated from injured reserve

Kochetkov (lower body) was activated off injured reserve Friday.

Kochetkov has not played this season, as the Hurricanes have been relying on Frederik Andersen and Brandon Bussi for the first month of the campaign. Expect Bussi to be sent to the minors in the near future due to the eventual return of Kochetkov. Kochetkov could start as early as Saturday in Boston, but with the Hurricanes playing four games next week, including three games in four nights, look for Kochetkov to play at least twice over nine nights. Carolina placed K'Andre Miller (lower body) on injured reserve in a related transaction.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

    Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Facing Capitals

Sorokin will defend the visiting goal in Washington on Friday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.

It has been a tough go for Sorokin this season, as he has allowed three goals on two occasions and four tallies in each of his other five games. Overall, Sorokin is 2-4-1 with a 3.75 GAA and an .868 save percentage over seven starts. The Capitals are 25th in NHL scoring, generating 2.70 goals per game.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Starting Friday

Thompson will be between the home pipes versus the Islanders on Friday, according to Sammi Silber of The Hockey News.

Thompson has been outstanding this season, as he has not allowed more than two goals in all seven starts. He is 5-2-0 with an eye-popping 1.44 GAA and a just as impressive .939 save percentage. Thompson has been a top-five goaltender in the NHL since the start of the 2024-25 season. He will face a tired Islanders squad, who dropped a 6-2 decision in Carolina on Thursday.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Beaten by Penguins

Gustavsson stopped 30 of 33 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Penguins. The fourth goal was an empty-netter late in the third period.

There wasn't much Gustavsson could've done on any of the three goals he allowed -- one was a tip-in, another one came on the power play, and the remaining one was a furious slap shot. The 27-year-old has been slumping of late, going 0-3-1 over his last four starts while allowing at least three goals in each outing during that stretch.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Comes up big in shootout

Ullmark made 27 saves in regulation and overtime and turned aside both shootout attempts he faced in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Flames.

The two teams traded goals through three periods, but two of Calgary's came on power plays, and Ullmark was able to stand tall when the game eventually got to a shootout. The veteran netminder has just one regulation loss in his last five starts, going 3-1-1, but after coughing up six goals in Chicago on Tuesday -- the third time already in 2025-26 he's been beaten five or more times -- Ullmark is saddled with a 3.37 GAA and .863 save percentage across 10 starts on the season.

  • Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Stops 26 shots in win

Jarry stopped 26 of 27 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Wild.

Jarry was beaten at the 10:16 mark of the first period with a tip-in via Kirill Kaprizov, but he was outstanding the rest of the way and shut the door to limit the damage to only one goal. The Penguins gave him enough offensive support with four unanswered goals, meaning Jarry has won each of his last four starts. He's given up one or fewer goals twice during that ongoing winning streak.

  • Devin Cooley G | CGY

Flames' Devin Cooley: Falls to Ottawa in shootout

Cooley turned aside 35 shots in regulation and overtime but failed to stop either shootout attempt he faced in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Senators.

The 28-year-old netminder was making just his second start and third appearance of the season, but Cooley did well just to earn the Flames a point in the standings, and there wasn't much he could do on any of the three pucks that got past him in regulation. Dustin Wolf is firmly entrenched as the No. 1 in net, but neither goalie will have much success behind a team that continues to flounder in its own end. Cooley is 0-1-1 and has given up six goals on 78 shots (.923 save percentage) to begin his Calgary tenure.

  • Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: Hangs on for OT win

Korpisalo stopped 37 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.

The Bruins got outshot 40-22 on the night, but Korpisalo was up to the challenge as he won his second straight start. The 31-year-old netminder has allowed fewer than three goals only once in his first six outings this season, going 3-3-0 with a 3.49 GAA and .882 save percentage, but Jeremy Swayman's own struggles have kept Korpisalo firmly in the mix in the Boston crease.
