    Devils' Jake Allen: Facing Avalanche

Allen will patrol the home crease against Colorado on Sunday, per Kristy Flannery of The Hockey News.

Allen has stopped 87 of the 94 shots he has faced during his four-game winning streak. During the 2024-25 regular season, he went 0-2-0 versus the Avalanche while allowing eight goals on 60 shots. Colorado is tied for 11th in the league with 3.33 goals per game this campaign.

  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Picks up first loss

Schmid made 23 saves on 26 shots in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Panthers.

Schmid allowed three even-strength goals Saturday, including two in the third period. The 25-year-old goalie has 4-1-0 record with a 2.67 GAA and an .896 save percentage across five appearances. With starting goaltender Adin Hill considered week-to-week with a lower-body injury, Schmid should see the bulk of reps between the pipes for Vegas, and deservingly so with his solid start to the campaign. Current backup Carl Lindbom will likely guard the crease for the Golden Knights at Tampa Bay on Sunday in the latter half of a back-to-back, but Schmid has strong streaming value in fantasy moving forward playing for a Vegas squad that is 5-1-2 out of the gate.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Tends shutout Saturday

Bobrovsky saved all 17 shots he faced in Saturday's 3-0 shutout win over the Golden Knights.

Bobrovsky's first shutout of the season not only helped him secure his fifth win but also came against one of the league's hottest offenses in Vegas, making the outing even more impressive. Saturday's win was a bounce-back performance in a big way for Bobrovsky, who was coming off his worst outing of the year after surrendering five goals to Pittsburgh. The 37-year-old twine protector is up to a 5-3-0 record, a 2.28 GAA and a .903 save percentage through eight appearances this season. Bobrovsky is a safe netminder play in all fantasy formats as the clear No. 1 option between the pipes for the reigning Stanley Cup Champions.

  • Maple Leafs' Dennis Hildeby: Returns to AHL

Hildeby has been re-assigned to AHL Toronto by the Maple Leafs, the team announced Sunday.

Hildeby was briefly recalled for Saturday night's game to back up Cayden Primeau in order to give Anthony Stolarz, who had ice packs on his knees following his last start Friday, a guaranteed night off. The 24-year-old Hildeby will return to the AHL, where he has won both of his starts so far with a 0.97 GAA and a .962 save percentage.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Falls to Jackets in shootout

Silovs turned aside 37 shots in regulation and overtime but got beaten on all three shootout attempts he faced in Saturday's 5-4 loss to Columbus. He added a power-play assist.

The 24-year-old netminder was one of the main reasons the Penguins got a point out of the game at all, as they got out-shot 41-30 by the visitors, but Silovs had no answers in the shootout as Kent Johnson, Adam Fantilli and Kirill Marchenko all found the net behind him. Silovs is 3-1-1 with a 2.57 GAA and .914 save percentage to begin the season as he alternates starts with Tristan Jarry, in what has been a very effective timeshare so far.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Nabs third win in shootout

Merzlikins made 26 saves in regulation and overtime and denied one of three shootout attempts in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Penguins.

The 31-year-old netminder came up with some big stops but also got extremely lucky, as on three different occasions a puck came within a whisker of crossing the goal line behind Merzlikins before being knocked aside. The timeshare between Jet Greaves and Merzlikins is working out well for both goalies so far, and through four starts Elvis has a 3-1-0 record, 2.96 GAA and .914 save percentage.

  • Blackhawks' Drew Commesso: Dazzles for Rockford on Saturday

Commesso posted a 38-save shutout in AHL Rockford's 4-0 win over Colorado on Saturday.

Commesso was excellent in his third win of the season. He's now at a 2.69 GAA and a .922 save percentage over five games, going 3-2-0. The 23-year-old netminder will try to dominate the AHL this season, though he could get a call-up if Spencer Knight or Arvid Soderblom is unavailable for the Blackhawks.

  • Wild's Cal Petersen: Shuts out Texas

Petersen posted a 24-save shutout in AHL Iowa's 2-0 win over Texas on Saturday.

Petersen earned his first shutout for Iowa, and it was his first win with the team. He's struggled early this season, allowing nine goals on 75 shots so far. Petersen is unlikely to see NHL action unless Filip Gustavsson or Jesper Wallstedt get hurt.

  • Senators' Lucas Beckman: Earns shutout in QMJHL play

Beckman posted a 37-save shutout in QMJHL Baie-Comeau's 3-0 win over Rimouski on Saturday.

Beckman earned his first shutout of the season and the eighth of his junior career. The 18-year-old has been stuck in a tough position, as Baie-Comeau has been one of the worst teams in the Q this year, winning just two of 14 games. He's been in net for both of those victories and has a 2.91 GAA and a .916 save percentage while facing nearly 35 shots per game. Beckman is a Senators prospect, having been selected in the fourth round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Loses in Seattle

Skinner stopped 20 of 23 shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Kraken.

Skinner has yet to really blow a game, but the Oilers aren't giving him sufficient support most of the time. He's now 2-3-1 over six starts despite a 2.31 GAA and a .903 save percentage. Skinner still needs to show the ability to steal a game when his teammates don't have their best performance, but things should even out eventually. Expect Calvin Pickard to get the starting nod in Sunday's road game in Vancouver.
