  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Set to start Saturday

Bussi is expected to guard the road crease against LA on Saturday, per Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.

Bussi will make his second career start after saving 16 of 17 shots en route to a 5-1 win over San Jose on Tuesday. Although more is expected of the Kings than the Sharks this season, LA has gotten off to a rough start. The Kings are 1-3-1 and rank 27th in goals per game with 2.60 this year.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Expected to face Vegas

Wolf is slated to start on the road against Vegas on Saturday, per Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

Wolf has struggled to start the 2025-26 campaign, posting a record of 1-3-0 while allowing at least three goals in each of those four outings. That's in stark contrast to his 29-16-8 record, 2.64 GAA and .910 save percentage across 53 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season. However, it's still very early into the campaign, so it'd be premature to pass judgment on Wolf. The Golden Knights rank fourth in goals per game with 4.00 and own a mark of 3-0-2 this year, which will make it challenging for Wolf to begin his comeback Saturday.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Slated to face Nashville

Hellebuyck is expected to start at home against Nashville on Saturday.

Hellebuyck has a 2-1-0 record, 3.02 GAA and .895 save percentage in three appearances this year. His GAA and save percentage look unappealing because of a season-opening 5-4 loss to Dallas on Oct. 9 in which he allowed five goals on 37 shots. Hellebuyck has held the competition to two goals in each of his past two starts. Nashville is 2-1-2 and is in a four-way tie for 20th in goals per game with 2.80 this year.

  • Jake Allen G | NJ

Devils' Jake Allen: Starting against Oilers

Allen will patrol the home crease against Edmonton on Saturday, according to Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels.

Allen is coming off a 21-save performance in a 3-1 win over Florida on Thursday. He went 2-0-0 against Edmonton during the 2024-25 regular season, stopping 62 of 64 shots. Allen should get a chance to string together some starts as New Jersey's No. 1 netminder due to the absence of Jacob Markstrom (lower body).

  • Penguins' Tristan Jarry: First off Saturday

Jarry was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Max Miller of NHL.com reports, indicating he will guard the road goal against San Jose on Saturday.

Jarry is coming off an 18-save effort in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to Anaheim. He has a 1-1-0 record this season while surrendering seven goals on 59 shots. San Jose has found the back of the net 13 times through four games this campaign.

  • Oilers' Calvin Pickard: Set to start Saturday

Pickard is expected to start in Saturday's road game against New Jersey, per Mike Morreale of NHL.com.

Pickard is making his second start of the campaign after stopping 14 of 15 shots in Edmonton's 3-1 win last Saturday against Vancouver. Pickard tends to do well against the Devils, posting a 4-1-0 record, 1.79 GAA and .927 save percentage across six career regular-season outings. New Jersey has a 3-1-0 record while ranking eighth in goals per game with 3.50 in 2025-26.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Might travel with club

Kuemper (lower body) skated Saturday and might travel with the Kings for their upcoming five-game road trip, which begins Tuesday in St. Louis, Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider reports.

Kuemper isn't expected to play in Saturday's home game against Carolina, but he might not be out for too long. The 35-year-old has a record of 0-2-1 with a 3.35 GAA and an .868 save percentage in three appearances this year. He should resume his role as the team's No. 1 netminder once he's healthy, butAnton Forsberg is likely to get the majority of LA's starts during Kuemper's absence.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Gets starting nod Saturday

Swayman will defend the road goal in Colorado on Saturday, Bailey Curtis of DNVR Sports reports.

Swayman had his first mediocre game of the season Thursday, giving up six goals on 37 shots in a 6-5 loss in Vegas. He is 2-1-0 with a 2.68 GAA and a .916 save percentage this season in three starts. The Avalanche have found the back of the net 17 times in five games in 2025-26.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Facing Bruins

Wedgewood will make his sixth consecutive start Saturday at home versus Boston, according to Marc Moser of Altitude Sports.

Wedgewood has allowed only eight goals on 131 shots (.939 save percentage), posting a 4-0-1 record with a 1.57 GAA. He has given up only one goal in each of his four wins and has been sensational in taking over from the injured Mackenzie Blackwood (lower body). Boston has posted 3.60 goals per game this season.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Crumbles under pressure

Gustavsson stopped 40 of 45 shots in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Capitals.

The Wild weren't really able to get any offense going -- the Capitals more than tripled them in shots by a 45-14 mark in the game. That left Gustavsson on an island, and he wasn't able to steal the result as the Capitals' top line had a dominant performance. On the year, Gustavsson is 1-3-0 with 14 goals allowed over four games, and that includes a shutout in the season opener. Jesper Wallstedt is likely to get the start in Philadelphia on Saturday to give Gustavsson a breather.
