Bussi was the first goaltender off at Tuesday's morning skate, Max Miller of NHL.com reports, which indicates he'll draw the start in San Jose.
Bussi is slated to make his NHL debut Tuesday in San Jose, as he's currently serving as the No. 2 netminder behind Frederik Andersen due to Pyotr Kochetkov (lower body) being on injured reserve. The 27-year-old Bussi has appeared in at least 32 regular-season games with AHL Providence in each of the last three years, most recently registering a 15-14-3 record, .907 save percentage and 2.77 GAA over 33 outings in 2024-25. He'll face a Sharks club that is 0-0-2 but has found the back of the net nine times across San Jose's first two games.

Predators' Jack Ivankovic: Earns honors
Ivankovic was named the Big Ten's Third Star of the Week on Tuesday.
Ivankovic gave up just two goals in a pair of wins for the University of Michigan over Providence College this past weekend. The 18-year-old goalie is a freshman for the Wolverines after making the jump to the NCAA from the OHL. He was picked by the Predators in the second round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: First off Tuesday
Nedeljkovic was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports, indicating he will patrol the home crease against Carolina on Tuesday.
Nedeljkovic is coming off a disastrous 4-3 overtime loss to Vegas on Thursday. He stopped 27 shots in the defeat while making costly errors on the Golden Knights' tying and game-winning goals. Nedeljkovic has a 5-3-1 record with a 2.53 GAA and a .918 save percentage across nine previous regular-season appearances against Carolina.

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Starting in home opener
Dostal will defend the crease in the team's home opener against the Penguins on Tuesday, per Derek Lee of The Hockey News.
Dostal surrendered three goals on 31 shots in the 3-1 season-opening loss to Seattle on Thursday. Pittsburgh has netted eight goals over its first three games of the season, going 2-1-0. Dostal is 1-0-1 with a 2.34 GAA and a stellar .950 save percentage over two career appearances against the Penguins.

Cooley will take the second game of the Flames' back-to-back after Dustin Wolf tends the twine versus Vegas on Tuesday. It will be the 28-year-old Cooley's opening game of the season and first with Calgary. Looking ahead to the rest of the campaign, Wolf should see the bulk of the workload, leaving around 20-25 starts for Cooley.

Wolf will draw the home start against the Golden Knights on Tuesday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Wolf hasn't gotten off on the right foot in 2025-26, as he's conceded at least three goals in all three of his appearances. The 24-year-old is 1-2-0 with an .865 save percentage and a 3.98 GAA. Wolf has never lost in regulation against the Golden Knights -- he's 2-0-2 with a .910 save percentage and a 3.12 GAA over four career regular-season appearances against them.

Oettinger will be between the pipes for Tuesday's home game against Minnesota, Owen Newkirk of DLLS Sports reports.
Oettinger is coming off a 35-save performance in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over Colorado. Despite allowing eight goals on 64 shots through two outings, he owns a 2-0-0 record to begin the 2025-26 campaign. Oettinger went 2-0-2 with a 1.74 GAA and a .939 save percentage across four appearances against the Wild in the 2024-25 regular season.

Daccord will be in the blue paint for Tuesday's road game against the Canadiens, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
Daccord has been phenomenal to start the 2025-26 season, posting a 2-0-0 record, 0.96 GAA and .968 GAA over two appearances. This will be the Kraken's first road game of the year, and they'll face a Montreal club that is 2-1-0 and has potted 10 goals over its first three games of the season.

Predators' Justus Annunen: Leaves ice first Tuesday
Annunen was the first goalie to exit the ice ahead of Tuesday's road clash with the Maple Leafs, Mark Masters of TSN reports, indicating he'll be in goal.
Annunen will make his 2025-26 debut after watching Juuse Saros feature in the first three games of the year. Last season, the 25-year-old backstop made 23 appearances for the Predators in which he posted a 9-11-1 record to go with a 3.17 GAA. Looking ahead to the rest of the campaign, Annunen figures to see around 20-25 starts behind Saros.

Skinner will be between the road pipes Tuesday versus the Rangers, according to Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels.
Skinner will look to rebound Tuesday after giving up three goals on 22 shots (.864 save percentage) in the season-opening loss against Calgary on Wednesday. The Rangers are 2-2-0 to start the year, and while they've scored 10 goals across a pair of games on the road, they have been shut out twice at home by the Penguins and Capitals. Skinner has fared well against the Rangers throughout his career, owning a 3-1-0 record, 2.25 GAA and .926 save percentage.
