  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Facing Minnesota

Kuemper will be between the road pipes against the Wild on Monday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Kuemper is 0-2-0 to start the 2025-26 campaign, allowing a total of seven goals on 50 shots (.860 save percentage). The veteran netminder will need to be sharp Monday, as the Wild have potted nine goals across their first two games of the year. Kuemper has a 5-7-1 record, 2.76 GAA and .905 save percentage over 14 career regular-season games versus Minnesota.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Tending twine in Vancouver

Binnington will patrol the road blue paint Monday against the Canucks, according to Kevin Woodley of NHL.com.

Binnington had a poor showing in his first appearance of 2025-26, allowing five goals on 21 shots in Thursday's 5-0 loss to the Wild. Joel Hofer got the nod in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Flames, so Binnington will need to play better to avoid working in a timeshare with Hofer. The Canucks are coming off a 3-1 loss to Edmonton on Saturday, but they put up five goals in their season-opening win over Calgary on Thursday.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Placed on IR

Kochetkov (lower body) landed on injured reserve Monday.

The Hurricanes recalled Charles-Alexis Legault from AHL Chicago in a corresponding move. Kotchetkov's placement on IR is retroactive to Oct. 5, but he's not expected to suit up during the early portion of Carolina's road trip, which begins Tuesday in San Jose. It's unclear if Kochetkov made the trip out west, but Frederik Andersen will receive the bulk of the starts as long as Kochetkov is sidelined.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Drops third straight start

Sorokin saved 21 of 25 shots in Monday's 5-2 loss to Winnipeg. The Jets' fifth goal was an empty-netter.

Sorokin surrendered two goals in each of the first two periods, including a power-play tally from Nino Niederreiter midway through the first period. Outside of the first 32 minutes, Sorokin then kept the Jets off the scoresheet with the lone goal of the third period being scored on an empty net by Mark Schiefele. Through three starts this season, Sorokin has a 0-3-0 record, a 4.18 GAA and an .854 save percentage. It's an unfortunate start to the year for Sorokin, who made small improvements and won 30 games in 61 regular-season appearances during the 2024-25 campaign. If the 30-year-old's sluggish start continues, it might be tough to start him in standard leagues. For the time being, Sorokin has solid value in fantasy overall, as he should continue to see a large workload in net. He will likely take a breather sometime in the next few contests when newly-acquired David Rittich makes his debut for the team, but Sorokin should see a workhorse load of games over the next few weeks.

  • Eric Comrie G | WPG

Jets' Eric Comrie: Picks up first win Monday

Comrie made 33 of 35 saves in Monday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.

Comrie posted a clean first period before allowing two goals in the second frame to New York's Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Emil Heineman. By the time of Heineman's goal, however, the Jets had a commanding 4-2 lead and Comrie was able to coast through the final period. With his first win of the season under his belt, the 30-year-old netminder is set to maintain his role as the primary backup to reigning Hart and Vezina Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck. Despite his anticipated limit of starting opportunities this season, Comrie is a solid streaming option in all fantasy formats whenever he's set to guard Winnipeg's crease. He will likely step in for Hellebuyck during consecutive game nights, but could draw certain spot starts depending on the matchup and Hellebuyck's availability.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Gets little help in Monday's loss

Ullmark stopped 22 of 24 shots in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Predators, with Nashville's final two goals getting scored into an empty net.

Both pucks to get past Ullmark came on defensive breakdowns by the Senators -- Jonathan Marchessault was left all alone down low to bang home the puck midway through the second period, before Ryan O'Reilly converted an odd-man rush late in the third to give the visitors a 2-0 lead. Ullmark has had a tough start to the 2025-26 season, going 1-2-0 in three starts while giving up 12 goals on just 76 shots. His fortunes aren't likely to improve much without a lot more help from Ottawa's skaters.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Sharp in second win

Saros made 31 saves on 32 shots in Monday's 4-1 win over the Senators.

The game was closer than the final score suggests, as Nashville potted two empty-net goals late, but Saros made sure his team was never in real danger of losing. The veteran netminder took a shutout into the third period before it was spoiled with just over two minutes left in regulation by a Ridly Greig power-play tally. Saros has seen his ratios erode over the last few years, posting a career-worst 2.98 GAA and .895 save percentage in 58 appearances last season, but he's been locked in to begin 2025-26, going 2-0-1 in three starts while allowing just five goals on 94 shots.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Guarding cage versus Blues

Lankinen will be between the home pipes against St. Louis on Monday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Lankinen will make his first appearance in the crease for the Canucks this season after Thatcher Demko took the opening two contests. Lankinen logged 51 regular-season games for Vancouver last season, going 25-15-10 with a 2.62 GAA and four shutouts, thanks in large part to Demko's injury woes. Assuming Demko is healthy in 2025-26, Lankinen should see significantly fewer starts, likely closer to the 20-25 range.

  • Alex Lyon G | BUF

Sabres' Alex Lyon: Falls to Avs

Lyon allowed three goals on 37 shots in a 3-1 defeat to the Avalanche on Monday.

Lyon made his third straight start for the Sabres while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) remains unavailable. At this point, it wouldn't be a shock to see the team give Colten Ellis a look between the pipes even though there isn't a back-to-back on the short-term schedule. Still, until Luukkonen is cleared to return, Lyon should see the bulk of the workload.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Concedes once in win

Wedgewood gave up one goal on 29 shots in Monday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.

Wedgewood remains undefeated in regulation, going 3-0-1 in four starts to open the season. With Mackenzie Blackwood (lower body) set for a conditioning stint with AHL Colorado, the veteran Wedgewood should get the nod again versus Columbus on Thursday.
