Anthony Stolarz G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Strong outing; loss not on him
Stolarz made 29 saves Saturday in a 6-3 loss to Detroit. He allowed four goals.
The loss wasn't on him -- he put up a strong fight. Stolarz is skating behind a team with decidedly less firepower now that Mitch Marner is gone. There were a few breakdowns in front of him, but Stolarz looked overworldly in moments. We're not worried.

Adin Hill G | LV
Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Set to start Saturday
Hill is expected to guard the road crease against Seattle on Saturday.
Hill will attempt to rebound after stopping 21 of 26 shots en route to a 6-5 shootout loss to LA on Wednesday. He had a 32-13-5 record, 2.47 GAA and .906 save percentage in 50 regular-season outings in 2024-25. He had a 1-0-1 record while stopping 52 of 57 shots across two regular-season appearances against the Kraken last year.

Joey Daccord G | SEA
Kraken's Joey Daccord: Starting Saturday
Daccord will protect the home goal in Saturday's game versus the Golden Knights, per Sound of Hockey.
Daccord will get his second start of the year after turning aside 35 of 36 shots versus the Ducks on Opening Night. The 29-year-old netminder will be backed up by Matt Murray on Saturday, though neither Murray nor Philipp Grubauer poses much of a threat to Daccord's playing time.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Sharp in loss
Wolf made 24 saves in a 4-2 loss to the Blues on Saturday.
One snipe came on the power play; the rest were at even strength. Wolf has allowed 12 goals in three starts this season (1-2-0). Nine of those goals have come in the last two games. The score wasn't flattering, but Wolf made some great saves, including an incredible scramble stop with the game tied at 2-2.

Joel Hofer G | STL
Blues' Joel Hofer: Looks good in first start of season
Hofer made 27 saves in a 4-2 win over Calgary on Saturday.
It was his first start of the season. Matt Coronato had Hofer's number, putting up both Calgary snipes. The first one redirected off a Flames defender; the second beat him high glove on a break. Hofer's fantasy value comes in spot starts, as the emerging netminder continues to grow his skills behind Jordan Binnington. He does have the ability to step into the starter's role in the event of a Binner injury, so he's a good stash.

Anthony Stolarz G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Tending twine in Detroit
Stolarz will protect the road goal versus the Red Wings on Saturday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Stolarz continues to handle a heavy workload while Joseph Woll (personal) is away from the team. The 31-year-old Stolarz stopped 29 of 31 shots in a 5-2 win over the Canadiens on Wednesday to start his season on the right foot. He'll look to keep that momentum going in the first half of a home-and-home set with the Red Wings.

Frederik Andersen G | CAR
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Set to face Philadelphia
Andersen will play between the pipes in Saturday's home game against Philadelphia.
Andersen stopped 19 of 22 shots in a 6-3 win over New Jersey in his season debut Thursday. Andersen will likely split the workload fairly evenly with Pyotr Kochetkov (lower body) this season, but the 36-year-old Andersen will probably be leaned on heavily while Kochetkov is on the shelf. Brandon Bussi will be Andersen's understudy Saturday.

Andrei Vasilevskiy G | TB
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Between pipes versus Devils
Vasilevskiy will guard the home goal versus the Devils on Saturday, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.
Vasilevskiy's season got off to a mediocre start, as he allowed four goals on 33 shots in a 5-4 loss to the Senators on Thursday. The 31-year-old may need to shake off a little rust after missing nearly all of the preseason. That said, he will start a large portion of the Lightning's games and should produce elite numbers once again this year.
-
Alex Lyon G | BUF
Sabres' Alex Lyon: Expected starter Saturday
Lyon is set to guard the road crease against Boston on Saturday, per Scott McLaughlin of WEEI.
Lyon will look to get into the win column after stopping 29 of 32 shots en route to a 4-0 loss to the Rangers in his season debut Thursday. Lyon is Buffalo's de facto No. 1 goaltender while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) is unavailable. Lyon's role is expected to diminish once Luukkonen returns. For now, Buffalo is likely to lean heavily on Lyon over Colten Ellis, who is currently serving as the backup.

Jacob Markstrom G | NJ
Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Set to start Saturday
Markstrom will protect the road goal Saturday versus the Lightning, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Markstrom will get the nod in the Devils' second game, and he'll be looking to bounce back from a tough opener. He allowed five goals on 32 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes on Thursday. The 35-year-old still has quite a bit of a leash as the Devils' top goalie, but if his struggles persist in the long run, Jake Allen could get more time.
