  • Penguins' Stuart Skinner: Another subpar showing

Skinner allowed four goals on 25 shots faced in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Hurricanes. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.

Skinner has been slumping badly in recent weeks. He has dropped seven of his last eight starts since the beginning of February while operating in a timeshare with Arturs Silovs, and he's allowed at least four goals in three of his last four during that stretch. With a 3.53 GAA and an .876 save percentage over that eight-game stretch, it's hard to justify Skinner remaining as the No. 1 option between the pipes for the Penguins. Don't be afraid to look at other options to strengthen your goaltending depth ahead of the fantasy playoffs as well, as Skinner is simply not producing enough to remain in a starting role in most formats outside of the very deep leagues.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Won't play Monday

Quick (upper body) has been ruled out for Monday's home game against the Senators, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.

Quick is considered day-to-day after exiting Saturday's practice early due to an upper-body injury, and he'll be unavailable for a second consecutive game while he recovers. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but his next chance to do so will be Wednesday in Toronto. Igor Shesterkin will start at home against the Senators on Monday, while Dylan Garand will serve as the backup.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Tending twine Monday

Shesterkin will patrol the home crease against Ottawa on Monday, per Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic.

Shesterkin will get the second half of the Rangers' back-to-back after Dylan Garand played in Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss to Winnipeg. The 30-year-old Shesterkin has lost his last two outings while allowing eight goals on 61 shots. However, he has a 22-14-6 record this campaign with a 2.56 GAA and a .912 save percentage through 43 appearances. Ottawa ranks ninth in the league with 3.35 goals per game this season.

  • Maple Leafs' Dennis Hildeby: Recalled by NHL club

Hildeby was recalled from AHL Toronto on an emergency basis Monday.

Hildeby has made 19 appearances for the Maple Leafs this season, going 5-6-4 with a 2.90 GAA and .910 save percentage. He'll provide additional depth in the net after Anthony Stolarz was struck in the throat by a puck during pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's matchup against Ottawa.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Beaten once in comfortable win

Andersen stopped 18 of 19 shots in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Penguins.

Andersen was coming off five straight outings in which he'd posted a save percentage below .900, so this was a nice bounce-back effort for the 36-year-old veteran. He should remain the Hurricanes' No. 2 option behind Brandon Bussi, though, meaning his upside for the fantasy playoffs will be limited and strictly matchup-based.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Falls to Preds in OT

Knight made 30 saves on 33 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to Nashville.

Filip Forsberg was his nemesis in this one, having a hand in all three of the Predators' tallies, including the OT winner on a gritty solo effort. Knight still has just one regulation loss in March, going 2-1-3 in six starts with a 2.76 GAA and a .912 save percentage.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Collects OT win in return

Saros turned aside 26 of 28 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over Chicago.

Nashville twice had to rally from one-goal deficits in regulation, before Filip Forsberg potted the OT winner. Saros looked fully healthy after a brief two-game absence due to a minor upper-body injury. Sunday's win was his 25th of the season, the fourth time in his career he's reached that mark. The veteran netminder hasn't allowed more than three goals in a start since the Olympic break, going 4-2-2 in his last eight outings with a 2.70 GAA and .909 save percentage.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Fades late in OT loss

Thompson stopped 21 of 24 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Avalanche.

The 29-year-old netminder took a shutout into the third period, but Thompson squandered it by giving the puck away behind his own net to set up a Gabriel Landeskog tally just 65 seconds into the third, sparking a Colorado comeback. Thompson has just one regulation loss in his last six starts, going 3-1-2 with a 2.14 GAA and .924 save percentage during that span.

  • Stars' Casey DeSmith: Solid showing in loss

DeSmith turned aside 30 of 33 shots on net in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Golden Knights.

DeSmith turned in a solid outing but ultimately was handed the loss when he allowed the game-winning goal to Vegas' Reilly Smith late in the third period. With the loss, DeSmith now has a 14-6-5 record, a 2.42 GAA and a .907 save percentage across 26 appearances this season. Since the Olympic break, the 34-year-old netminder has posted a mixed bag of results with a 3-2-0 record, a 2.64 GAA and an .885 save percentage across five starts. With the Stars in the hunt to claim the No. 1 seed in the Central Division, Jake Oettinger will likely receive the majority of starts moving forward, which renders DeSmith to a spot start role in most fantasy formats.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Nabs win No. 20

Blackwood made 20 saves on 22 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Capitals.

The 29-year-old netminder wound up in the history books as he surrendered Alex Ovechkin's 1,000th career NHL goal (regular season and playoffs) on a third-period power play, but Blackwood did enough to come away with his second straight win and his 20th of the season. Over nine outings since the Olympic break, Blackwood has gone 4-3-0 with a 2.87 GAA and .872 save percentage.
