Murashov was outstanding in preseason action, posting a 2-0-1 record with a 1.71 GAA and a .935 save percentage across three appearances. He outplayed Tristan Jarry and Arturs Silovs in training camp and could get an early recall if Jarry and Silovs flounder in the early going.

Thompson will patrol the home crease in Saturday's exhibition finale against the Blue Jackets, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Thompson will play in the whole game to get ready for the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign. He posted a 31-6-6 record with a 2.49 GAA and a .910 save percentage across 43 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season.

Bobrovsky will defend the home net in Saturday's preseason finale versus Tampa Bay, according to Rob Darragh of the Panthers' official site.
Bobrovsky stopped all 11 shots he faced while playing in half of Monday's 4-3 overtime exhibition win over Carolina. He is poised to play more against the Lightning on Saturday. Bobrovsky posted a 33-19-2 record with a 2.44 GAA and a .905 save percentage across 54 regular-season appearances in 2024-25.

Gibson will patrol the home crease in Saturday's preseason finale against Toronto, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
Gibson stopped 18 of the 20 shots he faced in Monday's 2-1 exhibition loss to Pittsburgh. After being acquired from Anaheim during the offseason, he will likely begin the 2025-26 campaign as Detroit's No. 1 netminder.

Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Signs five-year contract
Gustavsson inked a five-year, $34 million contract extension with Minnesota on Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Gustavsson has one season remaining on a three-year, $11.25 million contract he signed in July of 2023. His new deal will kick in with the start of the 2026-27 campaign. Gustavsson was outstanding in 2024-25, posting a 31-19-6 record with five shutouts, a 2.56 GAA and a .914 save percentage across 58 regular-season appearances. He will probably be between the pipes in St. Louis in Minnesota's 2025-26 regular-season opener.

Maple Leafs' Dennis Hildeby: Starting Saturday
Hildeby will defend the road goal in Detroit for Saturday's preseason finale, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Hildeby could start the season as Anthony Stolarz's backup because Joseph Woll (personal) has no timetable for his return. James Reimer, who is attending training camp on a professional tryout agreement, will play the second half of the game against the Red Wings on Saturday. Hildeby was 3-3-0 with a 3.32 GAA and an .872 save percentage across 2024-25 in six regular-season games with the Maple Leafs in 2024-25.

Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Unavailable Friday
Skinner (flu) will miss Friday's preseason game against Vancouver, per the NHL media site.
Skinner was initially scheduled to start against the Canucks, but Calvin Pickard will play between the pipes instead. The 26-year-old Skinner should still be in net for Edmonton's regular-season opener against Calgary on Wednesday, provided he's healthy in time for that clash.

Hill is set to make his third appearance of the preseason after stopping 25 of 28 shots across his first two games. The 29-year-old had a 32-13-5 record, 2.47 GAA and .906 save percentage in 50 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. He's set to open the upcoming campaign as Vegas' No. 1 goaltender.

Pickard is expected to guard the road goal for Friday's preseason game against Vancouver.
Stuart Skinner was originally scheduled to get the nod, but he's battling the flu. Pickard had a 22-10-1 record, 2.71 GAA and .900 save percentage across 36 regular-season outings with Edmonton in 2024-25. The 33-year-old Pickard is projected to open the campaign as the Oilers' No. 2 netminder behind Skinner.

Hellebuyck is expected to start on the road for Friday's preseason game against Calgary, per the NHL media site.
Hellebuyck has made one other start in the 2025 preseason, stopping 16 of 19 shots en route to a 3-2 loss to Minnesota on Tuesday. The 32-year-old is likely to be leaned on heavily by the Jets during the 2025-26 campaign. He posted a 47-12-3 record, 2.00 GAA and .925 save percentage in 63 regular-season outings in 2024-25 to earn the Vezina Trophy for the second consecutive year.
