  • Calle Clang G | ANA

Ducks' Calle Clang: Agrees to one-year contract

Clang signed a one-year, two-way contract with Anaheim on Tuesday.

Clang posted a record of 11-13-4 with a 3.17 GAA and an .895 save percentage across 31 regular-season appearances for AHL San Diego in 2024-25. The 23-year-old netminder will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign in the minors.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Dealt to Steel City

Pittsburgh acquired Silovs from Vancouver on Sunday in exchange for Chase Stillman and a 2027 fourth-round pick.

Silovs posted a 16-7 record with a 2.01 GAA and a .931 save percentage in 24 playoff outings en route to helping AHL Abbotsford win a Calder Cup title last campaign. Over the past three NHL regular seasons, the 24-year-old netminder has earned a record of 8-8-2 with a 3.13 GAA and an .880 save percentage across 19 appearances. Silovs could be in the mix for an increased role with the Penguins in 2025-26, especially if Tristan Jarry continues to have consistency issues.

  • Sharks' Jakub Skarek: Agrees to one-year deal

Skarek signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Sharks on Thursday.

Skarek was expected to join HIFK of Finland's Liiga for the 2025-26 campaign, but it seems he decided to pursue a different opportunity. The goaltender had a 3.52 GAA and an .884 save percentage in 22 regular-season outings with AHL Bridgeport in 2024-25. He also appeared in two NHL games with the Islanders last season, posting a record of 0-1-0 with a 3.95 GAA and an .872 save percentage. The 25-year-old will probably start 2025-26 in the minors, though he might get an opportunity to play at the top level if Yaroslav Askarov or Alex Nedeljkovic miss some time due to injury.

  • Blue Jackets' Pyotr Andreyanov: Signs long-term deal

Andreyanov agreed to terms on a five-year contract with CSKA Moscow (KHL) on Thursday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.

According to Scheig, Andreyanov's deal includes a release clause after four seasons. That means the 18-year-old backstop could make the jump to North America around the 2029-30 campaign, which for goalies is right about when he would truly begin his development as an NHL netminder. In terms of fantasy, Andreyanov really only has value in terms of dynasty formats where managers can make a long-term investment.

  • Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Signs two-year contract

Tolopilo signed a two-year, two-way contract with Vancouver on Tuesday.

Tolopilo posted a 20-14-2 record with a 2.66 GAA and a .902 save percentage across 36 regular-season games for AHL Abbotsford in 2024-25. He also made two regular-season NHL appearances with Vancouver in April last campaign, stopping 23 of 26 shots for a 1-1-0 record. The 25-year-old netminder will likely spend most of 2025-26 in the minors.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Agrees to two-year deal

Dobes signed a two-year, $1.93 million contract with Montreal on Sunday.

The Canadiens signed Kaapo Kahkonen on Tuesday to a one-year, $1.15 million contract, but Dobes likely still has the inside track to be the team's No. 2 goaltender going into the 2025-26 campaign. The 24-year-old Dobes impressed in his rookie year, posting a 7-4-3 record with one shutout, a 2.74 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 16 regular-season appearances with Montreal in 2024-25.

  • Ducks' Tomas Suchanek: Gets time at development camp

Suchanek (knee) was on the ice for the Ducks' development camp and is expected to be ready for the 2025-26 season, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports Saturday.

Suchanek sustained a torn ACL and was ruled out for 6-8 months just before camp last season. The 22-year-old resumed skating in April and participated in development camp this past week. He should begin 2025-26 with AHL San Diego. If he can get up to speed quickly, he could be an option to make his NHL debut this year if one of Lukas Dostal or Petr Mrazek is unavailable for any reason.

  • Spencer Martin: Off to KHL

Martin signed a two-year contract with CSKA Moscow of the KHL on Wednesday, Tony Androckitis of Inside AHL Hockey reports.

Martin made nine appearances at the NHL level in 2024-25, but he struggled to a 3-4-1 record with a 3.89 GAA and an .846 save percentage. He'll take his services overseas to one of the KHL's stronger teams. At 30 years old, it's possible Martin has played his last NHL game, though a strong performance in Russia could carve a path for him to come back to North America at some point.

  • Kyle Keyser G | COL

Kyle Keyser: Back in North America

Keyser signed a one-year minor-league contract with AHL Colorado on Wednesday.

Keyser played with Kunlun Red Star of the KHL last year, struggling to a 3.61 GAA and .896 save percentage over 13 games. He previously logged five seasons of AHL experience with Providence. While unlikely, if Keyser plays well with the Eagles, the Avalanche may be interested in giving him a two-way contract down the line.

  • Senators' Hunter Shepard: Agrees to one-year deal

Shepard signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators on Wednesday.

Shepard had a 2.80 GAA and an .891 save percentage in 39 regular-season appearances with AHL Hershey in 2024-25. He's appeared in five career regular-season games at the NHL level, posting a 2-2-1 record, 3.94 GAA and .866 save percentage. Shepard is expected to start 2025-26 in the minors.
