  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Allows five goals in loss

Ersson stopped 25 of 30 shots on goal in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Hurricanes.

Ersson conceded four goals at even strength and one on a Carolina power play. To make matters worse for the 25-year-old netminder, he received no help offensively. With the loss, Ersson has a 19-13-4 record with a 3.02 GAA and an .886 save percentage. The first half of March has been rough for Ersson with a 1-3-0 record, 19 goals allowed and an .833 save percentage in five appearances. We've seen stronger stretches of play from Philadelphia's top goaltender this season, but he is a risky play in fantasy for the time being. Ersson's next opportunity to guard the crease is Monday against the Lightning.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Posts shutout Saturday

Kochetkov saved all 26 shots on goal in Saturday's 5-0 win against the Flyers.

Kochetkov tended his second shutout of the season to pick up a road victory in Philadelphia. Overall, the 25-year-old netminder has a 25-11-3 record with a 2.37 GAA and a .907 save percentage. Kochetkov has been nothing short of elite in March and is currently on a five-game winning streak. During the stretch, he has allowed just six goals and has posted a .948 save percentage. The only downside to Kochetkov's fantasy file is that he alternates starts with Frederik Andersen, so Kochetkov sees action just once every four to five days. However, the system is working -- Carolina is on a seven-game winning streak and has won eight of its last 10 matchups. Kochetkov is an excellent complimentary option in fantasy to deploy alongside some of the league's best netminders and is available in most formats.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Stays hot in Saturday's win

Montembeault turned aside 21 shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Panthers.

A Mackie Samoskevich tally early in the second period denied Montembeault his fifth shutout of the season, but the 28-year-old netminder still turned in another impressive effort. He hasn't taken a regulation loss since before the 4 Nations Face-Off, going 6-0-1 over his last seven starts with a dazzling 1.96 GAA and .928 save percentage as the Canadiens make a push for a playoff spot.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Falls to Habs on Saturday

Bobrovsky made 12 saves in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Montreal.

The Canadiens' skaters had trouble actually getting shots on net, but when they did, they tended to take advantage. Bobrovsky has gone nine straight starts without allowing more than three goals, a stretch in which he's posted a 6-3-0 record with a stellar 1.70 GAA and .928 save percentage.

  • Sharks' Georgi Romanov: Makes season debut in relief

Romanov turned aside nine of 11 shots after replacing Alexandar Georgiev to begin the second period of Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Capitals.

In his first appearance of the season and just his third in the NHL, Romanov had the honor of giving up Alex Ovechkin's 887th career goal. The 25-year-old netminder is likely with the Sharks only due to a lower-body injury to Yaroslav Askarov, but with Georgiev struggling badly right now, Romanov might see his workload increase over the final weeks.

  • Sharks' Alexandar Georgiev: Gets hook Saturday

Georgiev stopped 14 of 17 shots before being replaced by Georgi Romanov to begin the second period of Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Capitals.

Georgiev got stuck with his fourth loss in his last five starts, a stretch in which he's stumbled to a 4.46 GAA and an .844 save percentage. Top prospect Yaroslav Askarov hasn't suited up for AHL San Jose since Feb. 19 due to a lower-body injury, leaving the Sharks short of options between the pipes, and giving Georgiev some degree of job security despite his struggles.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Cruises to fourth straight win

Thompson turned aside 19 shots in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Sharks.

Macklin Celebrini spoiled his shutout bid early in the third period, but otherwise Thompson was in control. The win was his fourth straight, a stretch in which he's posted a 2.70 GAA and an .895 save percentage while working in a timeshare with Charlie Lindgren. Thompson sits just one victory away from his first career 30-win campaign.

  • Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Carries to win by offense

Jarry made 24 saves in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Devils.

After the Penguins took a 4-1 lead early in the third period, Jarry gave up two power-play goals a minute apart to put the outcome in some jeopardy, but Pittsburgh's offense didn't let up and pulled away again. The 29-year-old netminder has injected some life into the Pens since rejoining the roster, winning four straight starts while posting a 2.24 GAA and a .930 save percentage. Pittsburgh is still six points out of a wild-card spot with five other teams to leapfrog, but if a miracle finish to the season is in the cards, it'll likely need to be fueled by Jarry rediscovering his All-Star form.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Iced by Penguins

Markstrom stopped 16 of 22 shots in Saturday's 7-3 loss to Pittsburgh, with the Penguins' seventh goal getting scored into an empty net.

The Devils didn't give their netminder much help, although Markstrom didn't exactly shine either. The 35-year-old goaltender has lost four of five starts since returning from a knee injury, posting a rough 4.23 GAA and an .828 save percentage over that stretch behind a blue line that's missing both Dougie Hamilton (lower body) and Jonas Siegenthaler (lower body).

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Flashing Vezina skills

Ullmark made 21 saves in a 4-2 win over Toronto on Saturday.

Ullmark has looked every part of the Vezina Trophy winner he was in 2022-23. He has helped propel the Senators to seven wins in the last eight games, including six straight. Ullmark has gone 6-1-0 in his past seven outings to boost his record to 18-11-3 with a 2.66 GAA and a .912 save percentage this campaign. He needs to be in the lineup for fantasy managers whenever he's in the blue paint for Ottawa.
