Stars' Casey DeSmith: Defeats former team
DeSmith stopped 22 of 23 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Canucks.
This was DeSmith's first game against his former team since he left the Canucks in free agency this past summer. The 33-year-old netminder was sharp against his old teammates, allowing just a Derek Forbort tally in the second period. DeSmith has won his last six games, allowing a total of 12 goals in that span. He's up to 12-6-0 with a 2.42 GAA and a .914 save percentage through 20 appearances this season. While DeSmith has been a steady backup, Jake Oettinger will still handle the bulk of the goaltending duties, which likely will include Friday's Central Division showdown on the road in Winnipeg.

Adin Hill G | LV
Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Torched for six goals in loss
Hill allowed six goals on 35 shots in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.
This defeat brought a jarring end to Hill's four-game winning streak, during which he had allowed just four goals. The 28-year-old gave up that many in the first two periods alone, and two more in the third proved too much to come back from for the Golden Knights. Hill dropped to 23-11-4 with a 2.60 GAA and a .904 save percentage through 38 starts this season. After Ilya Samsonov shut out the Penguins on Friday, it seems probable he'll start in Tuesday's rematch in Pittsburgh, while Hill's next start is more likely to be Thursday in Columbus.

David Rittich G | NYI
Kings' David Rittich: Shaky but good enough for win
Rittich stopped 27 of 32 shots in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Golden Knights.
Rittich avoided a fourth straight loss, though he nearly squandered a three-goal lead over the last nine minutes of the game. The 32-year-old has allowed 19 goals over his last six outings while going 2-2-2 in that span, putting him at a 13-12-2 record for the season. He's added a 2.75 GAA and an .885 save percentage over 28 appearances. Darcy Kuemper will likely be back in goal Tuesday versus the Islanders and may start all three of the Kings' games over the next week since they don't have any back-to-backs.

Ivan Fedotov G | CLB
Flyers' Ivan Fedotov: Minimal offensive support in defeat
Fedotov stopped 20 of 22 shots in Sunday's 3-1 loss to New Jersey. The third marker was an empty-netter.
Fedotov conceded two goals at even strength in this contest. The Russian netminder has lost his last two starts, but he's allowed just two goals in each defeat. Fedotov has posted a strong .938 save percentage and a 1.73 GAA over three appearances in February and could challenge Samuel Ersson for more starts over the final stretch of the campaign. Across 20 appearances in 2024-25, Fedotov holds a 5-10-3 record, .886 save percentage and 3.02 GAA.

Jake Allen G | NJ
Devils' Jake Allen: Back in win column
Allen turned aside 23 of 24 shots in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Flyers.
Allen rebounded with a solid performance Sunday after allowing a total of eight goals in back-to-back losses. The New Brunswick native improved to 10-13-1 with a .910 save percentage and a 2.62 GAA over 24 appearances in 2024-25. Now that Jacob Markstrom is healthy, the 34-year-old Allen is back to serving as the No. 2 netminder, though the former is winless in three starts since returning from a knee injury.

John Gibson G | DET
Ducks' John Gibson: Unavailable Sunday
Gibson (lower body) will not be an option for Sunday's home game against the Islanders, per Derek Lee of The Hockey News.
Gibson was injured in Wednesday's matchup against the Canucks and was deemed day-to-day by Anaheim on Friday. Ville Husso, who was recalled from AHL San Diego on Sunday, will be the No. 2 netminder behind Lukas Dostal against New York. Gibson's next chance to return to the lineup will come Tuesday against the Capitals.

Kevin Lankinen G | VAN
Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Facing Dallas
Lankinen will defend the home crease against the Stars on Sunday, according to Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.
Lankinen has won back-to-back games and three of his last four while conceding two goals or fewer in each victory. The Finnish goaltender owns a 22-10-7 record, .906 save percentage and 2.52 GAA through 39 appearances this season. Dallas is on the second half of a back-to-back after losing 5-4 in Edmonton on Saturday and will be without Roope Hintz (face), who was injured in that game.

Lukas Dostal G | ANA
Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Starting against Islanders
Dostal will tend the twine during Sunday's home game against the Islanders, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
Dostal has been inconsistent in recent outings, going 2-3-1 with a 2.99 GAA and .905 save percentage over his last six appearances. He's riding a two-game losing streak but will attempt to right the ship against the Islanders. The 24-year-old made a road start against the Islanders in late October and turned aside 40 of 41 shots en route to the win.

Marcus Hogberg G | NYI
Islanders' Marcus Hogberg: Starting in Anaheim
Hogberg will be in the road crease Sunday against the Ducks, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.
Hogberg was activated from injured reserve Sunday and will make his first start since Jan. 25 after missing 14 games with an upper-body injury. The Islanders are on the second half of a back-to-back after defeating the Sharks 4-2 on Saturday, while the Ducks last played Friday in a 4-3 home loss to St. Louis.

Casey DeSmith G | DAL
Stars' Casey DeSmith: Tending twine Sunday
DeSmith will serve as the starting goaltender for Sunday's road game against Vancouver, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
DeSmith has started in just one of the Stars' last seven games, but he's been productive in limited action in recent months. Over five starts dating back to Jan. 25, he's gone 5-0-0 with a 2.21 GAA and .927 save percentage. The Canucks are averaging 2.74 goals per game this year, which is tied for the sixth-worst mark in the NHL.
