  • Ales Stezka G | SEA

Kraken's Ales Stezka: Dropped to minors

Stezka was assigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Sunday.

Seattle recalled Victor Ostman from ECHL Kansas City in a corresponding move. Stezka will probably return to the Kraken after the 4 Nations Face-Off break to be Joey Daccord's backup.

  • Hockey Club's Connor Ingram: Exits Sunday's game

Ingram (upper body) won't return to Sunday's road matchup versus Washington.

Ingram sustained the injury in the first period after stopping a high shot from Alex Ovechkin. The 27-year-old Ingram allowed two goals on 11 shots before being replaced by Karel Vejmelka. Ingram has additional time to recover due to the 4 Nations Face-Off break and could be available when Utah returns to action Feb. 22 against the Kings.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Stops 31 shots in win

Ersson made 31 saves on the 33 shots he faced in Saturday's 3-2 win against the Penguins.

Ersson tended a clean first period before allowing one goal in each of the final two periods Saturday. He faced a high volume of shots, including nine off the stick of Anthony Beauvillier. The 25-year-old netminder has a 16-10-3 record with an .896 save percentage and a 2.81 GAA in 31 appearances this season. He is unbeaten in his past two starts and has seven wins in his last 11 outings. Ersson continues to hold value as a streaming option in standard formats. He will serve as the injury replacement for New Jersey's Jacob Markstrom (knee) on Team Sweden for the 4 Nations Face-Off.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Starting again Sunday

Vasilevskiy will defend the road net against Montreal on Sunday, according to Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun.

Vasilevskiy has won his last three outings, stopping 86 of 93 shots. He made 34 saves in Saturday's 6-3 win over Detroit. Vasilevskiy has a 24-15-3 record with three shutouts, a 2.30 GAA and a .918 save percentage through 42 appearances this season. Montreal sits 17th in the league with 2.87 goals per game in 2024-25 and lost 4-0 to New Jersey on Saturday.

  • Dylan Garand G | NYR

Rangers' Dylan Garand: Heads back to AHL

Garand was reassigned to AHL Hartford on Sunday.

Due to the absence of Igor Shesterkin (upper body), Garand was Jonathan Quick's backup in Saturday's 4-3 win over Columbus. If Shesterkin remains unavailable after the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, Garand could return to the Rangers.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Yields five goals Saturday

Sorokin surrendered five goals on 32 shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Wild. The sixth marker was an empty-netter.

After winning seven consecutive games, Sorokin has lost back-to-back contests while allowing at least four goals in each defeat. The Russian netminder had a 3-1 lead before Minnesota struck for three quick goals late in the second period, and the Islanders ultimately couldn't recover. On the season, Sorokin holds a 20-16-4 record, .907 save percentage and 2.69 GAA through 40 appearances. The 29-year-old should benefit from a break in the schedule due to the 4 Nations Face-Off -- the Islanders won't be back in action until Feb. 23 against the Stars.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Wins last game before break

Gustavsson turned aside 31 of 34 shots on goal Saturday in a 6-3 win over the Islanders.

The Islanders were leading 3-1 in the middle frame before the Wild struck for three goals in the span of 5:29 late in the same stanza. Heading into the break, Gustavsson has won back-to-back starts and four of his last five after a four-game losing streak. The 26-year-old netminder improved to 22-11-3 with a .915 save percentage and a 2.63 GAA through 37 appearances. Gustavsson will represent Team Sweden in the 4 Nations Face-Off before the Wild resume play Feb. 22 in Detroit.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Comes up big in shootout

Binnington stopped 15 shots in regulation and overtime and nine of 10 shootout attempts in Saturday's 6-5 win over Chicago.

The Blues dominated in regulation and out-shot the visitors 35-17, but Binnington still needed a late goal from Robert Thomas to avoid a regulation loss. The 31-year-old netminder was brilliant during the shootout however, and the only puck to get past him came on an essentially perfect move and shot from Teuvo Teravainen. Binnington heads into the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, in which he'll represent Team Canada, with a 15-19-4 record, 2.89 GAA and .896 save percentage over 39 outings this season.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Takes tough shootout loss

Soderblom turned aside 35 shots in regulation and overtime and eight of 10 shootout attempts in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Blues.

After a wild third period that saw five goals scored between the two teams, Soderblom kicked out five St. Louis shots in OT and was brilliant during the shootout before finally getting beaten by Radek Faksa for the winner in the 10th round. Soderblom has had some rotten luck, and some poor efforts from his defense, to begin 2025. The 25-year-old netminder is 2-3-4 since the beginning of January, facing at least 34 shots in eight of those outings while posting a 3.40 GAA despite a .906 save percentage.

  • Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Stops 21 shots in win

Samsonov stopped 21 of 24 shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Bruins.

After allowing the first two goals of Saturday's contest, Samsonov allowed just one goal over the game's final 46 minutes to help Vegas take the win. The 27-year-old netminder is up to a 13-7-2 record with a 2.72 GAA and an .897 save percentage. Saturday's victory was Samsonov's first since Jan. 23 and third of the new year. With Vegas comfortably in a playoff spot in the Pacific, the backup netminder should continue to alternate starts with Adin Hill. Samsonov's a solid streaming option on days when he is slated to start.
