  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Tending twine Tuesday

Vasilevskiy is slated to patrol the home blue paint versus Ottawa on Tuesday, according to Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun.

Vasilevskiy is 1-2-1 in his last four starts -- he made 33 saves in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Islanders. Ottawa is coming off a 5-2 win over Nashville on Monday and is generating 2.87 goals per game this season, which ranks 19th in the NHL.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: In goal Tuesday

Sorokin will get the starting nod at home against Vegas on Tuesday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.

Considering Sorokin is riding a six-game winning streak, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see the Isles going back to him for Tuesday's tilt. During that six-game run, the 29-year-old netminder is sporting an incredible 1.19 GAA, including one shutout and a .958 save percentage.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Guarding cage Tuesday

Montembeault will tend the twine on the road against San Jose on Tuesday.

Montembeault is currently mired in a three-game losing streak, during which he has posted a 3.42 GAA and .889 save percentage. With the Canadiens heading into the 4 Nations Face-Off with a pair of back-to-backs, Montembeault figures to split the games with Jakub Dobes.

  • Devils' Nico Daws: Plays third period Sunday

Daws stopped all seven shots he faced in relief of Jake Allen in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Sabres.

Allen's poor performance earned him a trip to the bench after two periods. Daws did well in mop-up duty, allowing the Devils to attempt a comeback that fell a goal short. This was Daws' first NHL appearance of the season after he went 9-11-0 with a 3.15 GAA and an .894 save percentage over 21 appearances in 2023-24. The Devils don't have a back-to-back set in the last week before the 4 Nations Face-Off, but it's possible the 24-year-old netminder will get a start in one of those three games anyway.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Valiant performance in road loss

Ersson made 30 saves on 32 shots in Sunday's 2-0 loss to Colorado.

Ersson turned in a solid performance against a strong opponent Sunday, but Philadelphia was blanked for a third consecutive game. The Swedish goaltender has lost back-to-back contests and three of his last four after earning five consecutive wins, which included one shutout. On the season, Ersson holds a 15-10-2 record, .892 save percentage and 2.84 GAA through 29 appearances. The 25-year-old will probably draw the start Tuesday when Philadelphia concludes its brief two-game road trip in Utah.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Back-to-back shutouts

Blackwood posted a 24-save shutout Sunday in a 2-0 win over the Flyers.

After a rough stretch in which Blackwood conceded at least three goals in five consecutive games, the Ontario native has earned back-to-back shutouts. Blackwood was one of two netminders in the NHL to make at least 12 appearances in the month of January, so a break in the schedule when the 4 Nations Face-Off begins Feb. 12 should benefit the 28-year-old in a big way. The move to Colorado has done wonders for the 2015 second-round pick -- he has a .925 save percentage and a 2.03 GAA while winning 12 of 19 outings since being acquired in a trade from San Jose on Dec. 9.

  • Senators' Anton Forsberg: Starting in Nashville

Forsberg will guard the road goal versus the Predators on Monday, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Forsberg has won his last two outings, stopping 59 of 64 shots. He has a 7-9-1 record with two shutouts, a 2.87 GAA and an .893 save percentage through 19 appearances this season. Nashville sits 30th in the league with 2.61 goals per game in 2024-25. Linus Ullmark (back) will occupy the backup role and could start Tuesday's road matchup versus Tampa Bay after missing the last 18 games.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Tending twine Monday

Saros will patrol the home crease against Ottawa on Monday, according to Nick Kieser of 102.5 ESPN Nashville.

Saros has lost his last three outings (0-3-0), surrendering nine goals on 91 shots. He has posted a record of 11-21-6 with four shutouts, a 2.84 GAA and a .901 save percentage through 39 appearances this season. Ottawa has won four straight games, scoring 16 goals, and earned a 3-1 victory over Nashville on Dec. 7. Saros stopped 27 of 30 shots in that defeat.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Allows four goals

Hill made 24 saves on 28 shots on net in Sunday's 4-2 road loss to the Rangers.

Hill tended a clean first period before the Rangers scored four of the last five goals in the contest. Sunday's loss is his third in regulation over his last six games, a span in which he is 1-3-2. The 28-year-old now has a 19-10-4 record with a 2.69 GAA and a .900 save percentage. Hill is in a strong position with Vegas in contention to win the Pacific. He is still a solid play in any fantasy format, but his recent struggles are noteworthy moving forward. His next chance to defend the crease will be in a road game Tuesday against the Islanders.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: 400th career win

Quick stopped 34 of 36 shots in Sunday's 4-2 home win over the Golden Knights.

Despite allowing two of the first three goals of the contest, the NHL veteran tended a clean final period while New York's offense came alive. Sunday's win was Quick's 400th career victory, making him the first U.S.-born goalie to reach that milestone. He is up to a 7-5-2 record with a 3.04 GAA and a .901 save percentage across 17 appearances. Quick's current role with the Rangers is to give Igor Shesterkin a breather. If the latter continues to struggle, however, the 39-year-old netminder could be called upon more often to make a start. When he guards the crease, Quick is a solid option worth streaming in deeper leagues.
