  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flames' Dan Vladar: Starting in Seattle

Vladar will defend the road net versus Kraken on Sunday, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Vladar will get the second half of Calgary's back-to-back after Dustin Wolf played in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Detroit. The 27-year-old Vladar has surrendered 24 goals on 168 shots during his six-game (0-5-1) losing skid. He has a 6-10-5 record with a 3.12 GAA and an .886 save percentage across 21 appearances this season. Seattle ranks 14th in the league with 2.98 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Starting Sunday

Blackwood will patrol the home crease against Philadelphia on Sunday.

Blackwood is coming off a 19-save shutout win over St. Louis on Friday. He has posted a record of 11-5-2 with a 2.15 GAA and a .921 save percentage in his last 18 appearances. Philadelphia sits 19th in the league with 2.85 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Defending crease Sunday

Lankinen will protect the home net against Detroit on Sunday, per Ben Kuzma of Postmedia.

Lankinen has won his last two starts, stopping 56 of 59 shots. He has posted a record of 18-8-6 with four shutouts, a 2.56 GAA and a .906 save percentage through 32 appearances this season. Detroit sits 22nd in the league with 2.83 goals per game in 2024-25 and posted a 3-1 win over Calgary on Saturday.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Tending twine Sunday

Ersson will guard the road goal versus Colorado on Sunday.

Ersson had won six of seven outings, stopping 169 of 184 shots, before getting pulled from Wednesday's 5-0 loss to New Jersey. He has a 15-9-2 record with a 2.86 GAA and an .890 save percentage through 28 appearances this season. Colorado ranks seventh in the league with 3.28 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Sharks' Vitek Vanecek: Recalled from conditioning loan

Vanecek (face) was summoned from his conditioning assignment with AHL San Jose on Sunday.

The Sharks assigned Yaroslav Askarov to the minors in a corresponding move. Vanecek hasn't been in the lineup for the Sharks since Dec. 17 against Winnipeg, when he suffered a fractured cheekbone while sitting on the bench as the backup. Vanecek will compete for playing time with Alexandar Georgiev, but Askarov could return to the NHL before the conclusion of the regular season.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Assigned to minors

Askarov was reassigned to AHL San Jose on Sunday.

The Sharks recalled Vitek Vanecek (face) from his minor-league conditioning assignment in a corresponding move. Askarov will play in the AHL All-Star Classic on Monday and participate in Sunday's AHL All-Star Skills Competition. He has a 4-6-2 record with a 3.10 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 13 NHL appearances this season.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Facing Devils

Luukkonen will protect the home net against New Jersey on Sunday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.

Luukkonen has won three of his last four outings, stopping 106 of 116 shots. He has a 17-15-4 record with a 2.97 GAA and an .898 save percentage through 37 appearances. New Jersey sits 12th in the league with 3.09 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Carried to win by offense

Swayman made 22 saves in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Rangers.

A hat trick by David Pastrnak helped fuel a big afternoon for the Bruins' offense, allowing Swayman to come away with his 17th win of the season. The 26-year-old netminder has given up at least three goals in five of his last seven outings but has still found some success thanks to the play of his teammates, going 4-2-1 over that stretch despite a 3.52 GAA and .902 save percentage.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Bounced by Bruins

Shesterkin turned aside 19 of 24 shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Boston, with the Bruins' final goal getting scored into an empty net.

The Rangers shook things up by trading for J.T. Miller ahead of Saturday's contest, but that didn't improve the team's defensive effort and Shesterkin couldn't do much with any of the high-danger chances that got past him. The 29-year-old goalie is stuck in a rut, giving up 14 goals on 72 shots while losing three straight starts, but Shesterkin has the talent to turn things around at any time -- especially if he gets a little more help in front of him.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Starting in Dallas

Merzlikins will guard the road goal against the Stars on Sunday, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.

Merzlikins has won seven of his last eight outings and has stopped 84 of 88 shots during his three-game winning streak. He has a 19-11-3 record with one shutout, a 2.89 GAA and an .896 save percentage through 33 appearances this season. Dallas sits 10th in the league with 3.18 goals per game in 2024-25.
