  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Gives up three goals Monday

Daccord stopped 27 of 30 shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers. The fourth goal was an empty-netter in the final minute of the third period.

Daccord has traded wins and losses in his last four starts, but he's limited the damage to three goals allowed or fewer three times in that span while posting a save percentage of at least .900 thrice. The 28-year-old returned Jan. 9 from a five-game absence and has been ever-present between the pipes for Seattle since then, compiling a 5-3-0 record with a 2.28 GAA and a .924 save percentage across 10 appearances (eight starts).

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: First off Tuesday

Sorokin was the first goaltender off at Tuesday's morning skate, which indicates he'll draw the home start versus Colorado on Tuesday, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.

Sorokin was forced into action Saturday after Marcus Hogberg (upper body) was injured in overtime against the Hurricanes. Sorokin stopped the only shot he faced and was credited with the victory after Brock Nelson potted the game-winning goal. While Hogberg and Semyon Varlamov (lower body) are sidelined, Sorokin will handle the bulk of the starts -- Jakub Skarek, who was recalled from AHL Bridgeport on Monday, will serve as the club's No. 2 netminder in the interim. Colorado is coming off a 5-4 win over the Rangers on Sunday.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Slated to start in Montreal

Hellebucyk is expected to tend the road twine versus the Canadiens on Tuesday, according to Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.

Hellebuyck has won back-to-back starts and six of his last seven while allowing two goals or fewer in all but one of those contests. The 31-year-old has a strong chance to win the Vezina Trophy for the third time in his career -- he has six more wins than any other netminder in the NHL in 2024-25. Hellebuyck has a 12-6-2 record, 2.91 GAA and .910 save percentage across 21 career appearances against Montreal.

  • Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Tending twine versus Rangers

Andersen will guard the road cage against the Rangers on Tuesday, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports.

Andersen will make his third start in the Canes' last five contests, as the coaching staff appears to have settled into an every-other-night split for the veteran and Pyotr Kochetkov. In his two outings since returning from a long-term injury, Andersen posted an underwhelming 3.47 GAA and .851 save percentage but still managed to come away with a pair of wins.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Slated to start Tuesday

Soderblom is expected to tend the twine on the road versus the Lightning on Tuesday, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.

It's a tough matchup for Soderblom considering Tampa Bay currently leads the league in goals per game (3.54) while the Hawks have been giving up the third-most goals per night (3.45). The 25-year-old backstop is currently stuck in a four-game losing streak during which he posted a 3.94 GAA and an .893 save percentage.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: In goal Tuesday

Wolf will be between the home pipes Tuesday versus the Capitals, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan relays.

Wolf has won three consecutive games and six of his last seven. Through eight appearances in January, the up-and-coming netminder owns a 6-2-0 record, .921 save percentage and 2.38 GAA. Washington sits third in the league with 3.49 goals per game this season. Wolf lost his only career appearance against the Capitals in 2023-24.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Facing Sabres

Swayman will guard the road goal against Buffalo on Tuesday, per Kevin Paul Dupont of The Boston Globe.

Swayman is coming off a 27-save performance in Saturday's 3-1 win over Colorado. He has a 16-16-4 record with two shutouts, a 2.95 GAA and an .898 save percentage across 36 appearances this season. Buffalo ranks 15th in the league with 3.00 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Slated to start on Long Island

Blackwood was the first netminder off at Tuesday's morning skate, indicating he'll be between the road pipes versus the Islanders, per Conor McGahey of Altitude TV.

Blackwood has faltered of late, going 1-2-1 over his last four starts while allowing at least three goals in each outing. The 28-year-old has a 5-3-2 record, .912 save percentage and 2.37 GAA through 10 appearances in January. The Islanders rank 29th in the NHL with 2.67 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Gets starting nod against Jets

Montembeault will be between the pipes for Tuesday's home clash with Winnipeg.

Montembeault continues to see plenty of work in the Habs' crease despite the fact that youngster Jakub Dobes has yet to suffer a regular loss in six NHL appearances. The 28-year-old Montembeault, meanwhile, has been rather pedestrian of late, going 2-2-1 with a 3.20 GAA in his prior five outings. If Montembeault struggles again Tuesday, don't be surprised to see Dobes getting a look versus Minnesota on Thursday or Anaheim on Sunday.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: In goal Tuesday

Shesterkin will get the starting nod at home versus the Hurricanes on Tuesday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

Shesterkin will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing matchup with Colorado on Sunday in which he gave up five goals on 22 shots (.773 save percentage). The 29-year-old backstop may have avoided facing Mikko Rantanen in that outing but will now have to face the offensive dynamo following his trade to Carolina.
