  • Flyers' Sean Couturier: Pots first goal of season

Couturier scored his first goal of the season in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Capitals.

The 33-year-old center tied the score at 1-1 early in the second period with a nifty display of hand-eye coordination, tipping home a wobbly Nick Seeler shot from the blue line that was going wide. Couturier no longer has a role in the top six or on the first power-play unit, and through 15 games to begin the season he's managed only four points with 24 hits, 19 shots on net and a minus-4 rating.

  • Joseph Woll G | PHI

Flyers' Joseph Woll: Struggles continue Wednesday

Woll stopped 25 of 29 shots in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Capitals, with Washington's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

It was another tough night for Woll and the Flyers' defense. The former Toronto goalie has gotten into the win column only once in eight starts to begin his Philly tenure, and he's coughed up nine goals on 55 shots over his last two outings. On the season, Woll has gone 1-5-2 with a 3.13 GAA and .899 save percentage while working in a strict tandem with Dan Vladar.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Extends historic assist streak

McDavid registered two assists, including one on the power play, and three shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Flames.

McDavid assisted on Mathieu Joseph's opening goal before setting up Kasperi Kapanen's third-period power-play tally. His performance established an NHL record for the longest season-opening assist streak, extending his run to 13 games. With 28 assists already this season, the superstar center continues to deliver extraordinary playmaking production, and he remains on pace to shatter Wayne Gretzky's all-time single-season point record. He's up to 36 points in just 13 contests (eight goals, 28 assists), averaging 2.76 points per game.

  • Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Collects two assists in victory

Nugent-Hopkins recorded two assists, including one on the power play, and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Flames.

Nugent-Hopkins set up Mattias Ekholm's second-period goal before earning a secondary assist on Kasperi Kapanen's power-play tally early in the third. The veteran forward continues to benefit from his involvement alongside Connor McDavid, particularly with the man advantage. His versatility and established role in Edmonton's high-octane offense give him a reliable fantasy floor. He's played just four games this season but already has five points (one goal, four helpers) and 12 shots on goal.

  • Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Posts 24-save shutout

Jarry stopped all 24 shots he faced in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Flames.

Jarry recorded his first shutout of the season and the 24th of his NHL career, rebounding from Monday's shootout loss to Detroit. Edmonton limited Calgary's scoring opportunities, allowing the veteran netminder to deliver a relatively comfortable victory. The shutout should boost his confidence, and the Oilers' strong start to the campaign gives Jarry considerable fantasy upside as the team's undisputed No. 1 as long as Devon Levi (undisclosed) and Frederik Andersen (knee) remain sidelined. Jarry owns a 2.95 GAA and an .883 save percentage this season.

  • Oilers' Mattias Ekholm: Scores in return from concussion

Ekholm scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Flames.

Ekholm returned after missing two games with a concussion and immediately contributed, beating Dustin Wolf with a point shot early in the second period. The veteran defenseman has two goals this season, and his return strengthens Edmonton's blue line at both ends of the ice. His offensive involvement provides useful fantasy value, particularly in formats that reward shots and blocked shots.

  • Oilers' Kasperi Kapanen: Nets power-play goal in shutout win

Kapanen scored a power-play goal on two shots in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Flames.

Kapanen extended Edmonton's lead to 3-0 just 55 seconds into the third period, converting a cross-crease feed from Connor McDavid for his fourth goal of the season. The winger continues to benefit from opportunities alongside Edmonton's elite playmakers, and his involvement on the power play adds another avenue for fantasy production. However, his limited shot volume could make consistent scoring difficult to sustain. He's yet to find the back of the net in consecutive games, and this goal actually snapped a four-game goal drought.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Allows three goals in relief appearance

Wolf stopped 20 of 23 shots in Wednesday's 4-0 loss to the Oilers after replacing an injured Devin Cooley (lower body).

Wolf entered after Cooley sustained a lower-body injury late in the first period and surrendered three goals over the final two frames. Cooley's injury could create additional starting opportunities for Wolf, but his performances this season have been far from encouraging. While Cooley was the starter during the Flames' recent four-game winning streak, Wolf owns a 4.81 GAA and an .839 save percentage across six appearances this season.

  • Maple Leafs' Darren Raddysh: Registers two helpers

Raddysh notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Kraken.

This was Raddysh's first multi-point effort of the season. The 30-year-old defenseman is seeing top billing at even strength and on the power play, but he's still adjusting to Toronto after his breakout year with the Lightning in 2025-26. Raddysh has eight helpers, 33 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 15 appearances. The shot volume is the key here -- while he's not shooting as much as last year, he's still getting enough looks to believe that his luck will take a positive turn as the season progresses.

  • Maple Leafs' Jack Roslovic: One of each in loss

Roslovic scored a goal and added a power-play assist in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Kraken.

Roslovic's point streak is up to five games (three goals, six helpers). The 29-year-old is thriving on the Maple Leafs' top line, where he's meshed well with Auston Matthews, and in this game, Gavin McKenna. Roslovic has a total of six goals, nine assists, 38 shots on net and a plus-1 rating over 15 appearances. He can succeed in the right situations, and that's exactly what he's got this year in Toronto.
